So as a hardcore Gong Yoo fan, if it's got him in it, I'm always willing to watch. I didn't read the description and went into this movie blind, not knowing what the plot was and I gotta say... I'm feeling some type of way for obvious reasons.lol If you're looking for some fluffy sweet romance TURN BACK! You won't find that here. If you're down for some infidelity you're in the right spot. I enjoyed the story/plot over all but the ending had me with some "What in the Fresh Hell is this?!" feelings. This is a movie that gives a very accurate dark and light depiction of what you're willing to do to help your family and also what you're willing to do for your own personal/selfish desires(whether it's healing or hurting). Not my style of movie so my re-watch value is slim, I legit only watched it for Gong Yoo and I was NOT disappointed.Was this review helpful to you?
cliche
The Philippines are definitely growing popularity in the BL community this year, and for good reason. This series was cute but I found some of it to be a little cliché and tacky. The acting in the beginning was a little shaky but it definitely got better over time(probably due to everyone growing comfortable with each other). I think as their popularity grew, so did there acting. It got really cute at the end and I made a sad face a few times. Over all worth the watch. Thriller
I watch a lot of BL and this has been on my list for a long time(like before the new season started) and I finally completed it. I knew it wasn't going to be BL but I wanted to watch it because Gun is in it(buckle up for his role). Needless to say with or without BL/Bromance I was on the edge of my seat from ep1. I love psychological thrillers so this was right up my alley. Like a beast mode roller coaster, there were twists at every turn. If you get bored easy like me, I think you'll be safe to watch this without problems. Acting was on point and the music kept you in the mood with the dark twisted theme. The love hate relationships with the characters kept my emotions going crazy. I can't wait to see how intense S2 is...Was this review helpful to you?
Not for the Faint Heart
This movie is very dark in all the right ways. It has a bad rating MOST LIKELY because it hits closer to home than people can handle. I wouldn't personally rewatch it and I can't say I enjoyed it, because it tackles real life issues. The plot was consistent with suicide, sex and drugs which is all you'll get and if you can't handle it I don't recommend watching. It made me squeamish at how detailed it was. Unfortunately, this movie wasn't sarcastic. It was dead on accurate with life before, during and after rehab. You can't fully understand it until you've known someone who's experienced the "life style". The acting really pulls you in with everything ranging from sex scenes to drug withdrawls. The movie gives you a hint at how the world is with drugs involved, not just in Asia, but worldwide. Basically, this movie isn't for the Faint Heart.Was this review helpful to you?
Just Wow
If you're looking for sexual content BE GONE! If you're looking for something new and refreshing WELCOME! The story was amazing all around. It's truly a humbling, emotional, cute and realistic series. As an experienced BL fan I gotta say I've never seen anything like this before and I love that fact. The MC's having great chemistry, visuals all around and with some gut punching parts all make for an impressive series.With all the praise I'm giving I can't explain why I didn't give it a perfect 10. I think it's cause I felt it was a bit basic for a bit too long but I'm proud to say I'm definitely going to recommend to a newbie BL fan or honestly anyone in general lol

So Close
With every drama I always start out with a 7/10 (unless ep 1 hits hard) and go from there, and here was no exception. So honestly this series is like any others but with just enough of a plot line difference I can say I haven't seen it before. It's hard to come across something completely brand new and that's ok. It got really good with a lot of characters that brought a good amount of drama and intensity that all played a decent part for the main couple. I think there was a side couple but... I'm not sure... maybe cause I lost interest I missed bits and pieces of them? (yeah btw there were a few eps I glanced at cause it got stale) Anyway, it wasn't necessarily BAD, but it wasn't something I'd re-watch or really recommend. The ending was the saving grace of the whole series but getting to it was a tad stressfulEnjoy...

Beast Mode
Looking for a mind f*** with suspense for days? Look no further! I've had this on my PTWL and I'm disappointed I didn't watch it sooner. It reminds me of some anime with the same concept and OMG I'm obsessed! There's AH-HA moments, you'll be in your feels hardcore, might even make you cherish your friends more. No for the faint heart and if you love bomb dot com plot twists this is right up your alley. I highly recommend to anyone who likes games, violence, suspense, gore and wow moments. You'll find that all here (and more). The ONLY reason I didn't give it a even higher rating, despite all my praise, is cause I feel the graphics could've/should've been better for the theme it has. But don't worry....you might end up happy they aren't more realistic. Stoked af about a 2nd season! And if you need more of a reason to watch just know that this show is popular enough to have a S 2 in works so soon after original release. It's a roller coaster ride you won't wanna get off and you're gonna love the ending.Enjoy...

Fan Girl Screams!
This is fan girl content at its finest! If this craptastic year supplied any happiness it was some amazing BL content and Cherry Magic is NO EXCEPTION! I had been hearing so much about it and tried to hold off until the series was done so I could binge but I kept hearing good things and couldn't hold out anymore. Lol I was in love from the first episode and it just got better and better. Definitely my favourite Japanese BL EVER! You won't be disappointed I assure you. It's fluffy, cute and everything you want out of a sweet BL. It was the first time in awhile I wasn't more interested in the side couple lol (they were perfect too tho) Definitely a good way to start my Christmas. So bitter sweet it's ended but I'll definitely use this as a recommendation for a newbie BL fan and I'll probably re-watch when I'm wanting something NOT basic and all around charming.Enjoy to your hearts content....

Love Love Love
So I was gonna wait to binge watch this when the series was complete, but with all the love it was receiving I knew I couldn't wait anymore. I dove straight in blind without reading the plot and I have no regrets. The series isn't even complete and I had to post a mandatory review. I'm writing this now that I'm done with ep 7(waiting on the finale). Legit I have to say this is my favorite BL of 2020! If I don't feel like I'm gonna throw up from the cuteness it's cause things are getting so intense. Ep 7 threw me into a wall of feels lol Judit and Anna are my spirit animals lmao Vlad and Karl are both so damn cute. I'm so anxious for the finale...EDIT:
So now that I've finished the series I gotta say this is my fav BL of 2020. The ending seemed a smidge rushed but up to that point I couldn't have enjoyed it more. Room (and hoping) for a S2

NOT A BL
YES the actors in this series are well known BL actors but please keep in mind this is NOT BL. There's a smidge of bromance I guess but as long as you appreciate these boys as the actors they are, you'll enjoy this series thoroughly. It's a cute show with plenty of laughs, so I assure you it's family friendly. It'll put you in your feels a bit and make you wanna smack someone, but overall it's super adorable. This show covers a variety of real-life issues I think we can all relate to in some way.Was this review helpful to you?
Fun Action
Lee Dong Wook makes me fall in love with him all over again in this quirky, funny, action packed series. It was nice watching something I didn't get bored with and the fact this isn't a very common, cliché or overused theme/plot made it better to keep me reeled in. Luckily, it doesn't have too many plot twists, which is always enjoyable lol I love something that keeps me guessing but when it becomes repetitive I lose interest, and that didn't happen here. "K" obviously brings the comedy and honestly most of the action. It's literally a good cop bad cop split personality joy ride! The ending was so satisfying and there's villains you're gonna love to hate. I'd recommend to anyone wanting some comedic relief with a side of kicks to the face.Enjoy...

Memorable
If you're looking for a BL drama that's light on the BL but has all the fluffy romance, cute scenes and soul shattering heart breaks then Bad Buddy is just for you! You'll find one of the best kiss scenes in recent BL (not debatable) ,with a relatively new storyline, visuals for miles, adorable side couples and most importantly, it's relatable. So many of us live the lives our parents want without a care for what we want or how we feel. We spend our time trying to appease them and end up forgetting what we personally want. It's realistic and I think that's what will seal this drama in a lot of our hearts. The ending was so happy it made my heart flutter. The MC chemistry is amazing and I expected nothing but the best from Ohm and Nanon, which is exactly what I got! I'd definitely recommend to pretty much anyone lolEnjoy...

Yet again, another Korean BL that is just too damn short! This is all pretty much exactly how I expected it would be but in a good way. The story was a little bland but not necessarily basic. Visuals were pretty satisfying. Several times I wanted to slap Do Gun with his smug smart a** self but I'll let it slide for some cute moments that blossomed lol It had some pretty fluffy cute moments and I'd recommend to a newbie BL fan in a heart beat. Nothing really to complain about, just needed more. Honestly, based on the plot I'm not sure much could've been added without watering it all down.Enjoy...

Bruh!
Ok so first and foremost I am still in tears after this finale! I was on the edge of my seat from episode one and was never disappointed other than having to wait a week to watch it, If you've waited to watch them all at once you won't regret it. I don't give 10 stars very often and honestly this show deserves more! The acting was flawless and the music will put you in your feels or get you pumped. I love these kind of psychological shows. If it has anything to do with a crazy killer I'm always down to watch it. Don't worry this isn't a very graphic show. Even the romance had me in awe and smiling/giggling, it was so damn sweet you might get a cavity lmao. The only spoiler I will remotely give is the ending was perfect in every way! I want unlimited seasons but honestly it ended flawlessly and I couldn't be more satisfied. This is one of the top shows airing this year and for VERY good reason. Rinse and Repeat
So first of all this couple (EarthMix) is a powerhouse dynamic duo! I love them together. Unfortunately, I was worried to watch this series because it seemed it had the same theme as Tale of 1000 Stars, it threw me off that they would be the same couple in the same body swap theme BL but I dove in anyway. The story was good and had some heart warming moments and there's great chemistry between the whole cast. It was actually kinda nice not having a side couple so all the focus was on the MC and their goals. The romance scenes were definitely enjoyable in not only that they looked authentic but came at such vulnerable and cute moments. This is a perfect show for a BL newbie and it honestly sucked me in a lot more than I thought it would.Lin is absolutely beautiful!
