wow that might be one of my favorite first episodes ever. both engaging and fun! love the unique transitions too!

melodrama was the only word that i could think of at that moment that encapsulated the mood of the show and to be fair, it fits under several categories-- melodrama, slice-of-life, psychological-- so i apologize for categorizing it into only one genre when it's not. i've finished the show now and have warmed up to it nevertheless.

agree. i am super excited for this but there are just certain aspects about it that turn me off, like the fact that it's probably going to be many parts comedy and that it's 20 episodes long = a lot of dragging and filler. i don't have a problem with either unless it's done well but i'm hoping this one will be good.

fashion industry, family stuff and hidden identity

i'm nearly done the show (i'm around episode 13 now) and i have warmed up to it a bit but as a whole, it still is pretty bleak. i have found a lot of beauty in it and am interested to see how it ends, so i'll keep watching!

thanks for the helpful advice. i'm on episode 5 right now and i could care less about the characters or the storyline. i like melodramas, but i feel like i'm mostly doing stuff on the side or half paying attention as i'm watching this one. it's not clicking for me. at least not yet. i'll try my best to continue though.

i totally get what you say when there hasn't been much interesting dramas to complete. i've watched a ton of dramas this year and none have blown my socks off or given me the same thrilling feeling as the devil judge gave me. i hope why her and eve delivers on that aspect! and which actor were you refering to when you were mentioning money heist?? it's just that the entire cast is exceptional haha

i normally tend to skew on the darker/thriller side so naturally some of my favorites are ones like the devil judge, the king of pigs, the veil, etc but i occasionally watch romcoms like these because they're my guilty pleasures :) as for airing dramas, no standouts for me right now-- they've all been pretty good-- but i've been really excited for the money heist remake coming out next month because it seems exactly like my type of show! hbu?
