She has but he won't unless he knows it's his mudeok
Sure, let’s make a bet. I’m very comfortable with my prediction given their interactions so far. He’s already more invested in Buyeon’s life than he claims to be and they’ve only had an episode of prolonged contact.

So, I tried to sub it--understandable, at last. But this is my first time subbing a long drama, I'm already tired…
OMG, I would be eternally grateful for any real subs. Thank you so much for taking this on! Even if it’s too much work and you stop later, thank you <3 Mango subs are the bane of my existence.

I want to watch this, but Mango subs are worse than no subs for me (because when there are M*ngo subs both streaming websites and potential fansubbers take it as a sign the drama is subbed and you know there’s no hope of them ever redoing it/reuploading better subs in the future, while unsubbed dramas could at least *get* new subs in theory). Tragic.

Don't you think KTH is irresponsible and immature? His brother died on an accident. He told his brother to come…
The reason for their breakup was pretty clear. He went through a life-changing crisis and Chungha was an emotional burden on him at the time because of her expectations for him and their life together, which he could suddenly no longer fulfill.

Maybe he never spoke about his feelings at length (because he was, you know, out of his mind with grief), but again, it was kind of obvious she was not particularly supportive after HIS KID BROTHER DIED and she wanted him to go back to normal as soon as possible while he just wanted to hide in a hole and be alone.

It’s true giving Chungha a longer explanation might have been nice, if he had been capable of it at the time, but people are allowed to end romantic relationships for any reason. He dumped her and cut off all contact for two years. Good or bad, whatever the reason… they’re over. She didn’t cling to him when she saw him again because she needed an explanation years after the fact but because she wanted him back. She refused to accept their breakup, not his reasons for it, which a. were clear and b. didn’t even matter at that point. (If CH was as interested in those reasons as you are, by the way, she would have asked him to give her an explanation. But she never did because, just like when his brother died, she had no interest in actually understanding him. She just wanted them to go back to how things were before Joonho died, which was both impossible and unfair to TH.)

TH broke up with CH abruptly at the worst time of his life, when he didn’t have the emotional capacity to deal with her more kindly. I have a lot of sympathy for him because his brother had just died in an extremely traumatic way (and his girlfriend wanted him to pay attention to her and go to work when he just couldn’t). I have no sympathy for CH’s behaviour in the drama, however, which is much, much worse—she stalked and harassed him, essentially—and has no good excuse. And no, seeing your old ex of many years is not a good excuse for moving into his home to pressure him to take you back. Losing your brother, on the other hand, is a good excuse for ending a relationship that burdens you without offering a nice and clean explanation .

I have absolutely no idea why people are taking CH’s side in this. TH did not handle their breakup perfectly, but he had a very good reason for that and she behaved worse than him, both at the time and later.

I remember when I first watched season 1 I was so amazed and found the original Naksu very pretty and such a badass…
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 1 AND THE BEGINNING OF THIS SEASON AHEAD:

She's in the original Jin Bu-yeon's body (the body of our Mudeok, I suppose), but because of the magic Madam Jin and Master Lee performed to save her, all traces of Bu-yeon's soul are gone and the body has changed to look like Naksu.

Seo Yul and Jang Uk, who have seen Naksu, haven't recognised her yet. I think that makes sense for Jang Uk because he only saw her corpse once years ago. Seo Yul's reaction, however, stretches credibility IMO.

Can anyone spoil for me whether Jang Uk moved on from Mu Deok? Since he married again (and of course he is unaware…
I mean, obviously he's going to "move on" in the sense of falling for 'Buyeon,' who is Naksu without her memories. He married her with an ulterior motive in mind and has no interest in her at the moment, but she's a charming woman and he's already starting to worry about her and get involved in her business.

No doubt once his feelings grow he'll feel conflicted about it because of the memory of Naksu, whom he still loves. But yes, clearly he'll develop feelings for 'Buyeon.'

lol yep, he’s well on his way. He was already looking for an excuse to help her when he realised she’d snuffed out the lamp.

Im not ok with UK falling in love with this new Naksu/Buyeon bc it feels like he forgot about Mudeok. Im only…
I think Uk falling in love with the same person twice even when he doesn’t know who she is is way more romantic than him treating her with indifference the second time around, learning she’s Naksu/Mudeok (even though she has no memory of their relationship) and suddenly being all over her like a switch got flipped.

If he can only care about her after he learns she’s Mudeok, then he’s in love with the idea of Mudeok, not with the real person in front of him.

That’s why I’m really liking this dynamic they seem to be setting up where Uk wants to use Buyeon (as an instrument of his suicide even) and keep her at arm’s length but can’t help getting involved in her business and is starting to worry about her. The angst is gonna be delicious.

Ugh, next episode is going to be another emotional rollercoaster. Taehee deserves a break from all this grief, but the hits keep coming. And I feel really bad for Hae-an too. His crush on Dongjoo was annoying earlier in the drama, but now I've grown to feel sympathy for him. I hope he can have a hopeful ending.

Yeah, agree. His lil brother death is his fault, he shouldn't sacrifice her girlfriend feeling just for his guilt.…
I knowwww, it drives me crazy how obtuse people are being about this. Oh no, how dare he break up with his demanding, emotionally draining girlfriend and not humour her tantrums two years later just because his kid brother died! His reason for dumping her wasn’t good enough, so he’s the bad guy!

HELLO, do people realise how earth-shattering and soul-destroying losing a family member can be? Especially when it’s a child, and when you’re indirectly the reason for it, and when they die right in front of you. That’s enough to ruin your life for years, like it did to TH.

And deep in the throes of grief, when you’re struggling to care about anything, there’s someone who keeps asking you to pay attention to her, who keeps arguing with you about whose fault it was, essentially telling you it didn’t matter that much and to get over it, criticising your feelings of grief instead of inviting you to open up about them, someone who needs you to get your shit together and go back to work ASAP because she wants her boyfriend to be the perfect little doctor she’s always pictured herself with, etc. etc. etc.

I’m speculating to some extent here, sure, but it’s so obvious that CH was a burden to TH at that time instead of a source of comfort. Even if that wasn’t her intention and she didn’t do anything wrong and it was unfair to dump her… when someone is going through the worst moments of their life and their girlfriend is only making it worse, the relationship should end. It’s so fucking obvious.

And if she had an ounce of emotional maturity, she would have accepted it in TWO YEARS.

Me too. She is annoying for being clingy but she does not deserve this treatment from her mother and from the…
They’ve been broken up for TWO YEARS, that’s as clean as it gets! He doesn’t owe her anything at this point! Jeez.

Also he didn’t owe her a “good reason” for breaking up with her after his brother died and he decided to leave his life behind. He was in a terrible place mentally, couldn’t deal with her on top of everything else and found out he didn’t want to have her by his side in that vulnerable state because she wasn’t a good person for him to face difficulties with. Sure, CH would have been justified in being angry at him and/or the situation at that point, but a. he was reacting to a traumatic loss, b. she has no claim on him two years later and c. their breakup made sense at the time. Sometimes people aren’t right for each other and going through hard times just makes it obvious.

Yeah, agree. His lil brother death is his fault, he shouldn't sacrifice her girlfriend feeling just for his guilt.…
He would have stayed with Dongjoo if she'd been his GF at the time instead of Cheongha because DJ understands him better and would have supported him through his grief instead of making him feel additional pressure the way CH did. Basically, TH and DJ are better suited to each other and can be there for one another in tough times instead of amplifying each other's misery through miscommunication and pressure to perform certain roles in their relationship. It's really not that hard to understand, especially after seeing how selfish CH is and how little she cares about TH's feelings and desires. She is constantly projecting her own needs on him and asking him to be, do and feel things he isn't, doesn't want to do and doesn't feel. It's likely this dynamic was already present to some extent when they were together, so when TH's brother died TH needed to get some space and mourn on his own instead of in whatever way CH found appropriate.

"I don't deserve to be happy with you" is just a nice way of saying that when his brother died, TH's relationship with CH lost importance compared to his feelings of loss and guilt and he couldn't bring himself to go through the motions of being a devoted boyfriend, proposing marriage and acting like everything was fine. In reality, he *couldn't* be happy with CH because he needed to grieve first and she wasn't the kind of person who would let him do that, but with DJ he feels he could have got through it.

Also CH and TH knew each other for 10 years, but it doesn't seem like they actually dated for that long (not that it's that important IMO).

Guys helpI dont understand and need clarifications, dont get mad.If Toji is royal phys who look after prince taein,…
1. Yeah, it was the queen dowager (then a concubine) who killed Crown Prince Taein and the scarred physician guy didn't know about it.

2. I *think* that's right and the older physician didn't realise he was helping the current crown prince when he gave Grand Prince Seongnam a prescription.

3. The older physician was loyal to Crown Prince Taein and his mother, and doesn't want a concubine's son who murdered his brother to sit on the throne. Physician Kwon is Crown Prince Taein's younger brother, so it's natural they're on the same side.

The romance between the CP and the Cprincess was totally unnecessary to the plot. The chemistry was totally forced.…
They get two scenes per episode and the whole drama is about the extended royal family, so obviously it's going to have at least one couple, GET OVER IT.

Question is now that we know for a fact that Physician Kwon mother is the deposed Queen; What is this non negotiable…
I'm guessing she'll ask her to let him go when all is said and done, so the queen may help to fake his death and get him out of jail or something like that. (Because there's no way in hell he can avoid execution.)

Although her disapproval is understandable… her stubbornness in making ZY’s decisions for her without any…
She's been an awful parent since ep. 1. Picking ZY's course for her, forcing her to do extracurricular activities she hated, emotionally manipulating her into quitting extracurricular activities she loved, etc. etc. etc. When ZY went through a traumatic breakup and fell into severe depression, her mother's big solution was to imprison her in her room, steal her phone, forbid her from doing the only thing she had the energy to do (try to get closure), shame her for expressing her feelings, and eventually exile her to a foreign country where ZY knew nobody and had no support network except for the clingy guy her mother has been, by the way, trying to force her to marry (because her mother thinks he’s easy to control)... Again, I canNOT wait for her to finally get what's coming to her (a rage-induced heart attack, hopefully).
