No i actually like it like this. It allowed for all characters to be clealry placed in the plot and kept us engaged with their romance til the end. What made the chemistry so amazing was the slow burn

I was very pleasantly surprised they did and they sure compensated with the romance on the 8 episodes. Kept us all interested til the very last second. Just wish incan watch with a better translation, some of the subs didnt make sense

can you look at the hole picture rather than just one moment? The guy risked his life to safe hers without wanting anything in return, how many times?????? an emotional set back is forgivable, especially for the flawed character that this anti hero is. Reminder, ANTIHERO, very flawed character, but equally redeeming due to his continues sacrifices for the FL and the people he cares for the most. That's the point of the whole damm show!

i dont think she fears him killing her, on the contrary, she fears him tricking her, that's why she doesn't want to open up because she doesn't trust him

And Ling he's character there, is the same as Zhang Zheng character here, but everyone cheers for DongFang, because the antihero will always win over regular heros in a novel, or drama or fiction just because their characters are much complex and intriguing to watch
