I wasn’t going to punish myself today by watching the subs but like a fool I did anyway. Unless KS makes a stand…
Sigh, I just finished my workout and lunch and am going to watch it now. Here goes nothing (again).
I will say this much: I do like the pacing and speed at which things are going. The bad news is the plot is silly and they are rushing so fast that the plot holes left in their wake are gaping at this point.
Im still on ep 60 of it. I sorta put it on hold because of this drama. I should have just finished it instead.
you've got some great moments coming up. Ep 103 especially, I have it bookmarked. Maybe the sweetest scene ever. From 102 on, every episode is almost a 10. The FL & ML were so good in it too. It's funny, that show had everything this one lacks.
I'm putting my faith in Sangji and hoping she wouldn't pick a clunker concept.
Plus Lee Dae Yeon is in it, and I hope he plays her Dad. They had such excellent chemistry in BML. Plus he's a veteran enough actor to avoid a shady script too.
For the timeline's sake....SJ left them 10 years ago. And JD is 15? meaning she was 5 when SJ left. Thus, how old would Jenny be? I can't tell from looking at her. Is she 5 or 6? Maybe older?
Not much time to deal with all that crap. If this was the 70th episode, I would say yes.
Agreed. I can easily see this bunch giving us something like we skip to a scene AFTER KS/MR wedding, MR is preggo, JD smiling, no mention of SJ & Jenny, CR is all accepting and happy, they are visited by DH/Dingy and their baby, JH/YJ announce their engagement, etc. Everything tied up neatly.
Hahaha Soo Ji was ready to take a swing. HR really needs to step in on these situations, as things always happen…
When did they suddenly lobotomize HR? where is our pushy, feisty man-chaser???? Why bother having HS tell her about JD secret? I guess the writers forgot about that one too.
I don’t think it will even. end resolved. We might get 5 minutes tops on the finale but I’m not holding out…
If they actually allow the doctor to do this, despite her reservations, this wouldn't be the first time a daily has made a farce of SK medicine. (Not to mention why would the Dr. do it then? She should refuse to perform the procedure)
In TLIYE, they actually had a child leukemia patient get out of bed and walk out of the hospital unchallenged by any staff! To make matters worse, when the frantic mother asked a nurse if anyone had seen her missing daughter she nurse nonchalantly said "No", and walked away!!! I kept expecting protest letters from the SK Hospital Assn or Nurses Union over that one.
And again KS drops his head at the end of the scene instead of dragging SJ out by her hair or whatever else he…
I haven't seen today's yet, but at this point, unlike before, I can't blame CR. I would do the same as MR's Dad. "You're a nice guy, and have been good to our family, but I cannot trust you to protect my daughter from the bad elements in your family."
You know, I'll give the writers credit for this much: When I think about it, this is the most bizarre storyline I've come across in a long time: "A missing woman reappears in her family's life to harvest the bone marrow of her abandoned daughter."
This may be the most disturbing plot ever. Certainly nothing I've heard of in a K-drama before.
Lemme repeat myself as i feel this is needed:Pity? Pity, my ass. Just goes to show how the biased af narrative…
Plus, they are going to let SeJin off as well! She gets to start a new life in the USA (oh great, just what we need) as a college student, probably hooking up with KJH after they're settled in. If they go the YLAG route, and "punish" her by taking it out on an innocent victim, well, it wouldn't surprise me.

I really resent the writers for giving us that 10 minutes of him acting like a good father, trying to evoke sympathy from us ( of course that was the day after he went on a bender where he consumed two entire bottles of liquor). What was the point of that? How can they imagine a redemption arc for this guy? Let's review his track record of responsible behavior:
-Demanded not once, but TWICE that YD abort the child, the second time in front of the Law at a Police Station (so it's probably on video). -Cheated on YD while they were dating. -Abandoned YD and fled the country without leaving her any financial support for either getting an abortion or having 'his' child. -Conspired to commit fraud against NX Group (phony Intranet article about YD/TK). -Agreed in principle to conspire to cause financial ruin to NX Group. -Began stalking YD by: Making harassing phone calls to YD late at night & going to YD's home, uninvited, and harassed her late at night. -Did not even want Haneul, as shown when InOk tried to give him the child. He wants both YD/HN, or rather, he does NOT want TK to have them. All this is about his hatred of TK and wanting to deny him of anything he can. -Failed to disclose to the Gong Family the results of his DNA test. -Prevented his Sister from attending their Mother’s Memorial Service. -And just to top everything off: He threatened a Nun in a House of Worship.
Maybe I'm in the minority here, but just that last item alone should have made him irredeemable and subject to the WTOD, IMO.
They, and their agencies, should have started asking questions around Ep 50, when it was apparent the series was going nowhere. But by then it would have been too late. But maybe they could have pressured KBS and the producers to hire a veteran writer to help clean this up. Problem for us is, the ratings for the domestic audience have been good enough that no one wanted to rock the boat.
Well, that was interesting (ep 115). The most memorable thing for me was a throwaway line in a scene most of you skipped. SD walks in on Aunty and DH, while he holds the EPT. He asks "Is that a COVID-19 test?" This is the first time I've EVER heard Covid mentioned in any Kdrama. I was shocked. In Kdramaland, we've been made to think Covid never existed.
Anyways, everything else was pretty predictable, with SJ being her usual witchy self. I'm not sure of the definition of 'mistress' but I don't think MR qualifies simply because she's a girlfriend? I really wanted SooJi to take a swing at her and grab some hair. That would have been epic!
JanDi's acceptance of being a donor seems short-lived, however, thanks again to SD, who is overheard yelling at HD about her ghoul-ish daughter's plans to have JD save Jenny. I'd presume tomorrow JD will also learn who Jenny is?
Question: Why hasn't DH gotten another job? He was supposedly recruited by other bakeries.

Oh well, have a good night folks. 6 eps to go.
