everyone saying there’s gonna be a season two but do we know how long we have to wait for it… cuz i fear the…
that's why i'm waiting for part 2 official date to be announced first before resuming this. i paused watching after ep1 when i saw the series was being split. the last time i fell into this by true was 2025's 'homeroom' and part 2 didn't come until some time later when all the anticipation and curiosity i had faded away.
oh my girl soi, there's really no going back from that.
they did a really good job hiding that until now. in the hospital scene shown in their promo clips, i thought mala was getting news about someone else.
guess next ep, their friendship is severed on both sides until the current time. we're only on ep 8 and the characters have already gone through so much, and there's still 10 more eps to go.
WHAT ARE THEY SAYING AT 21:39, THERE ARE NO SUBTITLES
After everything that happens, like the sea after a storm, the sky clears to a beautiful azure. The sun brings warmth, and even at night, the moon and stars remain the sea's companions.
It's much like the love of a certain woman. Known to everyone as a workaholic who seemed to breathe nothing but her job, Falling madly in love the moment that person takes her hand and she never lets go.
So much so that people say if grains of sand turned to sugar, the seawater would surely taste sweet and gentle, and even the waves would be carried on the tide of love.
perm is very sus. the way he talked to his father, being the first person there when his sister-in-law had the accident and miscarried the 'first born'. what if all the time making love to shen and she doesn't get pregnant, he went off to penang to get himself checked and find out he's impotent.
eventually shen is going to get pregnant, and it's definitely not his baby.
this is unexpectedly very promising so far. MeMindY only had gl side couples, so i didn’t expect much from their gl series esp with bigger companies not making much of an effort to offer more diverse stories.
i might have another company with GLs to look forward to now along w mono. yayyyy.
This was ok. Wasn’t a waste of time of time for me. It would have been a lot better as a series to build up the main characters and story. With the short runtime of a movie, tension and anticipation wasn’t really built up, the villain felt one dimensional and things just wrapped up too easily & conveniently.
Seeing my favs Han So Hee & Jeon Jong in a drama together as badass ride-or-die sisters is worth it though. They’re amazing together in this.
I laughed and cried so much that I gave up wiping the tears off my face.
As a fan of the webtoon, I’m happy with how the movie turned out. The cast is so cute and had great chemistry together. I read it a long time ago, but I think most, if not all, the major story arcs are covered. I hope they'll also consider making a series or even mini-series for this.
- I think Mala might die. She stopped dancing and hasn't been feeling well. - They'll definitely reconcile. In the credits, there's a scene of their older selves holding hands. Also of course, in the trailer, older Soi is at Mala's school and Mala asks her "have you returned to dance with me?" 😢 - I like how the Royal Grandma & Teacher at their old dance theatre knew Soi is gay and were mostly against it because they were worried about her future. - I really hope Soi doesn't throw away her integrity in order to rise in her new path just to get Mala's attention. - I actually like Prom, Ram & Soi and think any of them would be great for Mala. I just wish they weren't all into her, so no one had to be heartbroken. - Mew is doing an amazing job as the older Soi. The way she secretly looked at Mala and asked about her is just like the younger Soi haha. Mew did a really great job studying Mabelz' Soi.
I skip or drop over 80% of GLs just to watch this one, where the girl is probably miserable over her unrequited love the entire story. Not that I prefer doomed yuri, but I like how their relationship unfolds across different stages of life, from childhood to their teens, adulthood, and later years, set against a backdrop of arts, culture, and history that’s missing from current GLs.
Like I want those things in a GL series so bad that I am watching this doomed yuri instead of all the happy ones.
Sakuna Son Rak tells the story of Sern (Perth Veerinsara), the daughter of a wealthy rice-trading tycoon, who marries Perm (Film Thanapat), a handsome young government official with a bright future. The couple begins their wedding night with intensely passionate love.
But it seems the heavens are playing cruel tricks, as Perm is sent on official duty to Penang for over three months, leaving Sern to face a harsh fate at home alone. Khun Ying Panni (Nok Sinjai), her mother-in-law, constantly oppresses and looks down on her every second. The only thing keeping Sern holding onto her sanity is waiting for her husband's embrace and love.
However, when the day of Perm's return finally arrives, everything is no longer the same. He has become a completely different person — cold, distant, and utterly rejecting any touch from Sern. On the day her heart shatters and her body yearns for warmth, Tone (Tate Myron), the young chauffeur, is the only one staying by her side, taking her soaring away from the suffocating confines of the house.
Closeness ignites a desire almost impossible to resist. When this caged bird longs to fly free from her gilded prison, will she dare cross the line of morality into a forbidden affair that should never have happened?
The MV seems like it’s from Mala’s POV. But from ep1, it seems like Mala is the one who did Soi dirty, bc older Soi said “Have you ever hated someone so much that you wouldn’t even go to their funeral?” At the same time, "I heard a thief broke into your place". How are you a popular busy actress and still know what's going on with the woman you apparently hate lol.
Sod Soi Mala tells the story of two best friend dancers, Mala (Earnearn Fatima Dechawaleekul) and Soi (Mabelz Suchada Sonpan), a pair of royal dancers acclaimed as the most beautiful and enchanting performers in the capital. Their grace captivates men throughout the city, young and old alike, including Than Chai Ram (Krating Khunnarong Pratesrat), a young royal nobleman educated abroad, and Captain Phrom (Kem Hussawee Pakrapongpisan), a military officer with a bright future.
But amidst the rivalry between these two men for Mala's heart, the friendship between the best friends is torn apart when Soi's love for Mala crosses the line beyond friendship. When trust is shattered, Mala cannot accept these feelings, leading to a deep rift that eats away at the hearts of everyone involved for the rest of their lives. Set against the backdrop of a changing nation, how will this story of love, friendship, and tears end?
if he leaves with nares, i think his father would have used this reason to attack phitsanulok and ayutthaya ->…
i understand not wanting to provoke a war at that point in the story when i asked the question. what i also asked is why he never leaves. all the reasons why he shouldn’t leave is already motion – his dad/brothers were going to kill nares anyway, war w phitsanulok, ayutthaya who want independence from hongsawadi and other states that want to take control of hongsawadi. they’re all happening, and he still stays.
given how his father and brothers are, these wars would happen whether he stayed or not. i genuinely don’t understand why he remains and keeps following orders from his father, who clearly doesn’t know how to lead a kingdom like his late grandfather and is accelerating hongsawadi’s downfall.
for his country, his family? why die for an idiot father and brothers who obviously don't have any respect for him. his death doesn’t help his country. imagine if nares thought like that and went with his people to be executed by bayin just to not provoke a war that would happen anyway bc bayin would oppress those still alive after nares’ death so much that someone will have to eventually fight back again.
i think maybe why he stays & sacrifices himself will make sense to me in the last 2 eps.
since mingyi gave in to his father’s demands because yazala was ordered exiled (basically a death sentence), couldn’t mingyi have just asked nares to protect her? yeah it might count as defying his father, but nares already offered mingyi protection if he left hongsawadi, which is also defiance anyway.
or he could’ve just run away with her to phitsanulok. aside from trying to protect yazala, i don’t really see why he stays in a kingdom that treats him like a prisoner. as the story goes on, why doesn’t he ever leave?
if it’s because he feels a duty to his country, it’d make more sense to leave now and come back with nares later to take hongsawadi back from his father.
i wonder if he ever finds out that his father took his grandfather's life. can't he piece it together though bc didn't his grandfather tell him he was passing on the title to him and not his father? doesn't he know what his dad is like?

Now I need BoA to do a reaction video.

The MV was re-uploaded. The comments say the first was probably removed because it contained spoilers.
