I started reading the novel because I just can't wait anymore. LOL! FYI, for those who want to read the novel, it's an entirely different story compared to the drama. We all know the gist of everything, but the details have a HUGE difference. So reading the novel while watching the drama isn't a spoiler at all. It makes it enjoyable for me actually.
If there's anyone who wants an epub version of the novel, let me know. Just send me a PM with your email and I'm very willing to share. ^_^v
Luo Shenyuan was a very talented young man and he made use of his abilities like no other MLs.
To protect his woman, he fought the enemies with his excellent martial arts styles and the outstanding court politics knowledge.
To woo the only woman he wanted to love and live with, he recited poetry. When she did not understand the words, he promised her that he would tell her the meaning after all problems were sorted out, implying a more intimate moment.
The poetry that would make her melt on that promised day, conveying a pledge of one and only love.
"Strolling by the eastern gate, beauties are as many as clouds in the sky. Even so, none of them is the one I long for. Only the one in plain clothes and a green headscarf captures my heart.
When I saunter outside the city, beauties are as plenty as cogon grass. Even so, none of them is the one I hold dear. Only the one in plain clothes with a red handkerchief stirs my heart."
I gotta hand it to the writers, Yining is a great female protag. Not only that, really can't see anybody else play her besides Ren. She has a duality of being level headed and sweet which is what the role requires.
I also love that both families are co-parenting her and getting along? That's pretty refreshing to see, and also a win for people with adopted parents irl.
But for the love of god, that LJX needs to stop creepin'. I keep banking on LSY giving him a red wedding send off.
Yining is rising from the family outcast, the accused, to the independent smart businesswoman
Ren Min is rising from being mocked for her voice, nose and makeup during the early episodes to someone who gains more fans, the people who realised that her voice suits the character and that she is actually beautiful, elegant and princesslike in this drama, perfect as the daughter of a Duke.
Did we already see the scene seen in the ending credit with them kissing, both wearing red, and her back bare? Sure these two people know how to kiss...
Hi, guys! Can someone explain something to me about the show? I hid it because it may be a spoiler...
Why does the middle sister, Zhong, have an issue with her family? She isn't as involved with her parents problems, and, at the end of episode 2, the mom was telling Qian (the oldest) that she is the most concerned about what will happen to Zhong. There seems to be tension between Zhong and the parents. Does anyone know why? I think the dad said something about it, but I didn't get it.
