Horrible editing aside, I need to say that Zhang Ling He truly is gorgeous in this drama, especially in his demon garb. It is truly disappointing to see such a potential destroyed because of editing.
It is a sequel, but also a spin-off. It is canon to Ancient Love Poetry but, in others Love Story.
Yeah, i know that. But what I want to point out is, Moonlight Mystique is a canon sequel to ALP but in different perception. Since the two leads are not entirely connected or in relation to the Leads of ALP. The Last Immortal and Moonlight Mystique are in Parallel Storyline.
I'm glad she divorced her cheating husband, they've been married for years and even have kids together, yet her husband cheated on her with some college girl. Absolutely disgusting. There's also a reason why despite being a good actress and popular for her looks in c-ent, she hasn't done as many works as someone like her should've had, and the reason is that she sacrificed her career to focus on her marriage-life because both her husband and mother-in-law were quacks.
Her husband would get mad at her for acting in romance dramas with slightest skinship (not saying someone's feelings aren't valid but why purposely marry an actress and then tell her to not do her job? besides it's not like he ever cared about HER feelings when he cheated), while her mother-in-law often berated her for being an actress, claiming she's not 'worthy' of being part of her family because of her career and for being an year older than her husband (never saw someone being so angry and bitter over a 1 year old age-gap before lmao). I hope her kids are doing well and she can finally do as she likes. She didn't deserve such a shitty husband.
