why do I feel like they keep pointing us to the fact that the Great Premier is the man in the mask and could also be the father of Nan Yan.....he looks the most suspicious...maybe when he went to filth valley, he was overtaken with demonic aura and killed the sect people, now putting the blame on Ji yang...I feel like he is not innocent at all...idk I don't like him..I hope I am wrong though.

The leads have good screen presence, but the drama feels a bit childish, and the production quality seems rather…
I’d suggest you try to make it to episode 5 at least before quitting. You might find it less childish then. There’s a reason people currently watching are still around and giving it good reviews. I actually think that a lot of us watchers here are not a younger audience.
this show is so refreshing. no unnecessary misunderstandings. no stupid love triangles. no annoying side characters. im loving every single character on the show (this has never happened to me before). awesome heroine. awesome hero. awesome cast. couple goals. friendship goals. it has love story, it has tragedy, it has mystery, it has fantasy, it has comedy. music/ost is so beautiful as well.
In the novel, JY actually sacrificed two of his fingers to feed a corpse demon in order to save NY in the filthy valley. And he did it without thinking twice. So for the rest of the story, he had mechanical fingers replace his lost fingers. That was one of the descriptions of him that NY heard that made her suspect he was on the whale ship.
YY did not become their sworn brother until they were about to enter the filthy valley. He was after the blood phoenix hair pin that MZT had (YY had a special talent of being able to find treasured items) and so disguised himself as JY. Then MZT made him swear brotherhood in a temple and got him so drunk that his illusion started falling apart and that is how JY and NY found them lmaoo.
MZT actually died in filthy valley. He was never the son of the dragon emperor, but ended up being a prince of the Chen state and the heir of the dragon emperor. He died by getting his head severed and the hair pin transformed into a phoenix that was so sad, fixed him back together and carried him unconscious to Chen state. The hairpin was a betrothal present that the dragon emperor gave someone(spoiler) and it coming back like that was a heartbreaking thing. And it was because of the phoenix that he became a prince and because of his root and powers that he became the heir. It was like fate because his root matches Chen state perfectly and he got the hairpin by chance even when he did not want it. He was also going to give it to his precious little sister NY as her dowry.
JY actually did not get possessed by a demon. He stated practicing the demon and ghost cultivation. And he had all his emotions and desires, which was not meant to be so. He should have given them up to become more powerful and when he became so much more powerful with them, it was a thing of fear because of what he would want to do, being influenced by them.
In novel does the ML and FL had a happy ending or not?
Happy ending.🎂📚🌸😊🎞️ And I also remember from the trailer when she says: I am the moon, you are the sun, eternally together shining in the sky. (This to me also reveals that they stand together like gods).
