I wish I had the patience to w8 for this show to finish airing and then bingewatch it... The plot in the first half was very interesting, there was good character development and we have awesome leads. Second half we still have awesome leads but the story turns in to some kindergarten.
Sun Yi is such a great actress and is beautiful. I think she needs a new agent though because she gets the worst roles and the worst scripts. It’s like they typecast her to these super tragic, sad, overly dramatic roles. I don’t even think she’s picking them, I think it’s what she gets offered. It’s crazy because all her male leads have made it out to stardom (Deng Lun, ZRY, BJT, etc) with better scripts but she seems to be stuck in the same cycle and the same types of tragic helpless females.
To be honest I watched Tracer because I need a fix while waiting for Reborn Rich. I'm only 2 episodes in so far but I can say I found the right drama. Even though RR is about succession and investment while Tracer is about accounting fraud and tax evasion, both dramas are very particular in their detail, and I can't help but appreciate that. So far Tracer could explain how main character find a trace of slush fund better than most corporate-focused kdramas where the accounting investigation is nonexistent and suddenly the main character said that a piece of paper is a proof of slush fund. This drama also explained it better than Hollywood movies like The Accountant. However, I struggled with the nonlinear narrative in episode 1 and I had to suspense my disbelief multiple times because Im Siwan's character is too cocky for someone his age.
If I were in his shoes I wouldn't stop until this agency ceases to exist. The CEO deserves to be in jail. Even if he sued for money, it's HIS money. This amount is nothing since they could pay it so easily and they can't expect anyone to believe this is all he would've earned if they'd paid him for all those years. I hope he gets everything he's after but I really need the CEO to be punished.
