This drama made me question what a red flag truly is. For so long it was easy to distinguish.

Luke isnt a red flag but i still have issues with him. Wish he trusted her more and communicated instead of his sharp words. But this is taking years!!

While he isnt a red flag, their relationship is. Its unhealthy how they never communicate properly to this day.

I dont even want to talk about the ‘feminist ‘ who has problems with SZT living with opp gender.

Sun Yuanzhu, he was an underrated character but I hope to meet someone like him. Someone who always shows up. Warm and nice. He was home to everyone of his friends and family.

He deserved so much. He was indeed an Angel on earth. Im sorry life wasnt always nice to you, hope there’s another world where you meet and fall for Sun Yu first. So she can give you all the love you deserve.

From todays ep i was gonna say it was both their fault. She never asked him about the rumours in the office and he just left after seeing her hug and cry with the friend.
But then she confronted him. You see thats the growth. Shang Zitao was always bothered with his mixed feelings. While previously she would run away and assume things this time she learnt to trust her man. She confronted him about why hes being that way and explained what happened.

Luke looks like this matured man who is secure about himself and his relationship but he’s messy but beautifully puts the blame on his partners.

I may look like a Luke hater but im just disappointed in him.

This is a relationship that didn’t start on equal terms. He was her boss and still is. She didnt want people to think she took short cut to get promotions.
Also Luke never communicated things with her. She never thought they were gf and bf until he called his gf infront of someone. Just like that one day he called her his gf and established things. U tell that ur gf before others.
If you see Flora before establishing their relationship status and after u can see the difference. That one word made a big difference. Its like she had to assume things before that. Did he like her for real, is this just a passing romance then, if his friends knew then maybe this is serious but he didn’t introduce her to his parents.. so maybe not.
The relationship started off on the wrong note. Since then Flora has been insecure. She never asked things or communicated. She also assumed its temporary so better to just go with the flow. Work is more important to her anyway. And more reliable.

Flora is the type of person who doesnt put her all into a relationship. Especially one that seems temporary. But Flora has been growing as a person, the more confident she got the more she expressed. She told him she likes to be complimented, to say nothing if he has no nice things to say. Dating app thing was just a misunderstanding but he wasn’t even ready to listen. And she proposed to the guy, what more can she say? That was her both asking him for a sign and proposing him. To say they mean something real. That they have a future together. Bro fumbled there, those were his real thoughts. Im not mad at him but mad that people think its Flora who is ruining it, when its mostly Luke and his mixed signals and that makes her confused as to where they stand.

Luke as a person had a lot to learn in terms of relationships. A lot. Though he has come a long way, he still has things to learn. Everytime they got back together he learned to correct a past mistake of his. And im so happy about that.

Knowing Luke from the future would also agree with me that he was indeed a guy who didn’t treat his gf better gives me so much satisfaction. But most of yall wont be able to see the premium version of Luke in real life cause yall settle for basic version of him

She mostly called him Luke and but he calls her Shang ZiTao . That explains their whole relationship. Most of the times he was only ever her work boss and superior Luke. But to him it doesnt matter. Shang ziTao is the subordinate and his gf. He doesnt see much of a difference.

I seriously cant anymore. I havent read the novel but I would still say Luke is the one who has to change and learn lots. I wish they kept the novel Luke as it is so it wqs easier for people to distinguish. If people had the same standards in real life then Im worried.

Shang ZiTao cant be mad and ask Luke anything cause Luke has already changed a lot. Girl has to adjust and accept the present Luke. If anything why would she not trust and communicate with him when in danger? why would she hang out with her ex bf? . Oh he said shes an easy target, that was just a passing funny comment. He feels insecure so he drank and said he too is gonna hang out with his ex gf and thats valid.

Im tired to analysing and explaining every single scene. Its like i have spoon feed and say why something so simple is wrong.

Women please demand more. Cause you deserve it. Dont settle for the less. Shang ZiTao isnt perfect human but their relationship is getting better only because when she leaves or gets mad, Luke learnt to be better.

Im in ep 18 ending, I would like to say that I personally think Luke defenders are people pleasers, especially men pleasers . Can you also stop defending him, especially when he messes up? Yes, I know Flora is not always a perfect person, but Luke fucking mess things up. it’s his own fault, whatever he does. The girl is proposing him to for marriage. She wants to marry this guy saying if she meets the right person, she wants to get married, lets let’s go shopping and movies,let’s raise Luke together, and what does he have to say that he never thought about it?

What hurts the most was that he was genuine about it. This time he was not trying to say something harsh because he was angry or hurt. This is really how he felt. Flora put it well. There’s just an invisible wall between them, and they can’t see past that. I’m proud of my girl as to how much she’s grown as a person and how clearly she sees the situation. She doesn’t blame Luke for anything because it was all her choices.
But I do blame Luke because I thought he loved her and that he would want something permanent with her. Boy still has a long way to go.

Just watched ep 17.
Lumi her best friend was there in the city and she never told her what wqs going on. But Lumi didn’t ask her that. She just hugged her and said its okay.
But Luke her ‘boyfriend’ was angry she never told him even when he asked. Its okay to be angry and be sad that she couldn’t trust him. But the words after? Also on the call he said she will be the most easy target?

People are so focused on defending Luke not being a red flag. Idc if he is a red flag or not. But when it matters Luke always says the most harsh words that hurts.

When she said Luan Nian it broke my heart.

Letting everything go since he apologised. I leave it to Shang ZiTao if she wants to hold anymore resentment for future.

Cant even defend my girl cause i havent watched the eps fully.

I didnt watch because there was no good scenes to look forward to and im not mentally not prepared for their break up

I want to let it marinate for 3 to 4 days cause i know the break up eps are coming but i watching every single content i come by . How will i stop myself from watching the ep.
Thought i would be so glad when they break up but Luke learnt to become a better bf. Or atleast they have a label and its proper relationship. And now that i have seen him being a better guy for her, i know they didn’t have to break up.

Luke becoming the perfect boyfriend. He even asked for her friend’s investment. Genuine efforts are always appreciated.this is hhow you do it my boy. So soo proud of you

I was waiting for them to break up for a while now, but these 2 past eps were so god. They are finally like boyfriend and girlfriend. Communicating. Being each others support system. Finally going on the path of a good relationship. Now i dont want them to break up. I would still like to see him grovel but hes good now so i can accept him as he is

Luan Nian the dad who likes to spoil his kid. Hes all talk and no action. He gave Luke treats after he smashed his house. Luan Nian really is so cute

Also he learned to compliment his girl. And when he does shes so happy. Happy gf happy life. Luke is finally seeing it

The level of communication they have reached? Im so proud of them. She always expresses her feelings and he reciprocates and is always listening. Its a proper a relationship. Not perfect but we are on the right track finally .

All i would like to say is kdrama men and cdrama men are still just men with a few exceptions. Just because they are good looking dont forget they are men. There’s always a power imbalance and most men dont care or notice it. Some even use it to their advantage. Its romantic sometimes but i feel its because our brains have been tuned to think so.
Also being good to their women doesnt erase the bad they have done. Especially when they dont even acknowledge their mistakes and correct them.
So we have to hold them accountable. Its tiring but thats how it is when u want romance. Luke is handsome yes but let us not fall for his looks and genuine affections here and there. If anything i hate such men the most. They make you go crazy because you know they are good person and do care about you. I would prefer a complete bad guy over someone like him so its easier to end that.

Dont call this guy a green flag even after todays ep pls. Those were some very harsh words to say even to a subordinate, especially one that is excellent in her role.
Just because he realised it soon doesn’t make it better. Because guys thats not the only thing he did wrong. They are in a loop, fighting, misunderstanding, luke throwing out some harsh words and then coming back with puppy eyes. Not gonna work all the time. I wish for my girl to be free of this man
