Tbh, a bit bored by the bullying and gangster stuff but I guess those are the common tropes for action flicks, like love triangle or childhood friends etc for romance... The NK part is a nice touch tho....
I already kinda guessed who the perpetrator is so not too surprised when they revealed it's Kase... but I thought his end will be tragic (going to jail or death). Never thought he's going to just disappear and get away with all those crimes. Tho to be honest, I was glad (?) He didn't do it out of pure malice, only trying to protect what's important to him. Yes yes, I know it didn't make what he did was right but idc. The first victim is a rapist, which he didn't kill, only helped Rio's dad to hide the fact that Yu did it to protect his sister. The second victim is a rape apologist, which in my book, deserve everything he got and more. The third victim is actually an accident. And not being able to be with the people dearest to him, probably a punishment enough for Kase.
Sigh, but Aya and Ryoji chemistry is 🔥 like SIZZLING ❤️🔥 Their love nest is so pretty... I wonder where it was? Ryoji's house? Bc it seems like he spent most of his time on the road and at the office...
I'm in pain...I totally understand why they made the choice, but it's so painful...
But when I really think about it, Aya is better off with Sasaoka, in term of stability. Also, she didn't choose just for herself but for Tomoki too. Sasaoka is a decent person, he loves her and Tomoki. I'm not saying Ryoji wasn't all of that. But, besides the obvious reasons (the fact that he did, albeit accidentally, killed Tomoki's father), he hasn't unpacked all of his baggage yet. He's still haunted by the guilt. He's still rebuilding his life. He couldn't love other people properly if he hasn't forgive himself properly too. Also, Ryoji's family is suck! I doubt they'll accept Aya who's a widow with a child, with no connection and exceptional background... They were destined to meet to heal each other and then go to their own separate ways...

Even now, in 2026, there's still so many prejudices against single mothers. Imagine what it feels like in 1988. So, I won't blame Sunyoung for choosing her father, because she has to think about her child. If she's not pregnant, I have no doubt she will spit on that old man's face. Bc even with Kang Taeju's support, it won't be comparable to the protection she will get from her father's money and power. She's just being realistic.
I'm sorry but Kang Taeju is so stupid. How many times did he fell for Cha Siyoung tricks and gaslighting? It's like he never learn! Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me...
Watching ep 8 is very frustrating, bc while what the killer did is very despicable, it's the corrupt cops, prosecutors and the whole system that made those innocent people suffered more. They only care about themselves and feel no regret of what they're doing.... Too close to reality...
Good acting, especially Go Soo, but the writing could've been tighter. The gangster storyline and the architecture competition could be cut short, and instead they should develop the relationship between the trio leads. Because I don't really feel their connections... I'd like to see more the friendship between Myojin and Huisu, also how the affair between Myojin and Junho happened. I think it would be more impactful for the viewers if we see how complex Junho's feelings for Myojin. Instead I just felt so so when the betrayal was revealed...
Tbh I don't really understand what happened in the past when Kwon Siwon's mom suddenly attacked by some evil spirit? What are they? And KSW almost get attacked too? But her mom managed to stop it... What's it all got to do with the curse? Or is it just some plot point to get Do Hyeryung sneaked the talisman to KSW and started the chain reaction for all the disasters?
The actress for Do Hyeryung is Kim Shia (also starring in Walking On Thin Ice). She and Kwon Siwon actress (I don't know her name) are amazing! Too bad there's no credit for them here....
