Honestly i have no idea, but i think he probably would know, considering they were roomates
Yaa but this episode 4 got me thinkjng maybe ur theory is true? That ml actually still thinks the bf is around maybe? Coz when his grandma asks him why he cant like her he tells himself that would be selfish? Y woukd it be tho if he still didnt think the bf was a factor? Or maybe that he thinks because he met haran while pretending to be the bf, it woukd be unfair to both the bf and haran?
And this episode confirms that she knows the bf is dead too...
The colleague tho seemed normal in this episode lol...idk the way some camera shots linger on some chra ter at random moments is weird haha...
Honestly i have no idea, but i think he probably would know, considering they were roomates
I dont think she's misunderstanding his death coz realistically she must've met his sister at work after she returned from the trip and it would've cleared that up. Usually the death of a loved one in a drama like this would have the fl visit the deceased at the funeral home or their burial ground early on in the show. Since that hasnt happened yet there is a small possibility that she misunderstood too...
I also dont think seonu chan is misunderstanding the bf's death coz he might've stayed away from haran altogether if he suspected that, right? Or at least wonder where the bf was when he met haran again. But that's an interesting point too...since he doesn't have all his memories yet, it's a possibility too...
Now this is really wild theory but considering how dismissive and indifferent the bf was to haran, im wondering if the sister was in on getting rid of haran from his life somehow (seems weird that he went for vacation alone? Could've been cheating? 😅) so the bf and sister together came up with this plan to lie about his death? Hahaha
Tbh it seemed really weird to me how everyone just straight up forgot haran almost had an acid attack from a hater from her previous job like she did ask to drop the case but for someone like haran with how cautiously she lives, it felt weird that they didnt show any development in that direction this week? Also felt like a really random plot point for the beginnjng of a show like this unkess they were setting the stage for something bigger later on...
But anyway, what i wanted to say is that it proves that there were people who didnt like her and her privilege at that job so this *could* be possible in the grand scheme of things 😅
Also also i dont know if u noticed, but in the previous episode when the younger sister is happily talking about meeting her blind date with her colleagues, the camera pans to another coworker, a woman wearing black not engaging with the rest of them and she had an interesting expression. I'm wondering if this show is subtly setting up resentment among colleagues coz of the obvious privilege the sisters have working with their grandma who is a big shot and feeling like they got things easily?
I know right!! Tbh, I even thought if the sml’s agency paid them to cut other scenes to add more of his (although…
Ya i was just being hopeful haha...usually they add deleted scenes to the bts and thats how viewers find out those scenes existed at all...so this should be the same...or maybe during the editing process, they felt like removing that scene made the story more cohesive somehow? Honestly no idea...i'd personally like to talk to the director and know wth happened 🤣
In ep 2, the boyfriend went on vacation for a few weeks, my guess is during this time, the ml tried to kill himself,…
Oiii there's a shrapnel?? I dont remember that at all but it seems very likely that they wont keep the ml completely healthy 😅 really hoping this wont be a tragedy just to make the fl's arc complete like sure seonu chan passes too but at least he taught haran to finally overcome her trauma with losing people 😅 if this were a kmovie i could bet a 100% this would be the route they take but since this is a drama, im more optimistic with the ending at least for the leads haha
I know right!! Tbh, I even thought if the sml’s agency paid them to cut other scenes to add more of his (although…
True true...roh jeung eui seems to be the ultimate victim tho. She finally gets a drama that lets her shine and it ends up in this post production mess 😭 i dont want to throw out allegations at park seo ham or his agency yet but who knows...he is in every promo with the leads too so it could be that the show was planned to be a love triangle from the beginning?
I do wish they didnt cut out the entire almost kiss tho unless they're going to add it in a new episode (seems unlikely considering the preview for next week tho :(
No idea what went down behind the scenes but i do feel bad for the production and everyone involved tho for having to butcher through shots they took with the intention to include them
Omg guys we almost got an almost kiss they didn't include!! Check out this link from the bts of ep 7&8 from Our Universe on TVN drama's youtube channel (https://youtu.be/0gYsPpoMh5Q?si=YYwBK-JuOCxb1xij).
In fact if u watch the whole video, there seem to be more shots from 7&8 that they had to cut prematurely like the scene where taehyung is comforting hyunjin when she's crying etc.
I've been saying this from the beginning but this show defintely looks like it had to cut corners last minute or something along those lines with the weird jump cuts and edits from the first episode but this just proves why the drama feels more incomplete between the leads!
If u noticed, this drama has a shorter runtime compared to other tvn dramas too, with most episodes being lesser than 1 hr. I feel like this is a post production issue than the makers being careless :(( this explains why hyunjin's scenes with woojoo seem a lot less in comparison with taehyung and woojoo. They probably had to decide between what will bring more engagement and decided to go with the ml's scenes 😑😭
Just feel like the actors themselves have been set up coz this selective cutting obviously makes the fl look bad *facepalm*
I’m wondering how they manage to lose weight in their face. It’s the hardest area to slim down, and you can’t…
It can be genetics and u can't spot reduce so looks like he lost overall weight which does make a difference to someone's face as well, tho how much of a difference comes down to again things like genetics and individual body composition. For eg. actors like seo in guk, park bo young, jung so min etc r really lean but they still have more fuller faces.
JUST A CRAZY PLOT TWIST THEORY::-WHAT IF FL WAS ML'S GF BUT HIS MEMORIES ARE MIX MATCHED..HE IS ALSO GETTING THOSE…
It doesn't explain why haran wouldn't remember his face/voice tho...plus the actual bf was shown to be talking to haran i think in that first scene at the lab? I think seonu chan doesn't remember the exact details of the explosion but this is an interesting theory
In ep 2, the boyfriend went on vacation for a few weeks, my guess is during this time, the ml tried to kill himself,…
Ya thats how i did too at first but then fhe timing seemed kinda off coz if he had already died in the explosion, isn’t it too quick for his sister who is across the globe to call haran at the exact moment to inform her he passed? Idk if it's just a moment that requires some suspension of belief but considering seonu chan was still using the bf's laptop, i think the bf was still at vacation when. The explosion happened and he passed then, not the explosion?
In ep 2, the boyfriend went on vacation for a few weeks, my guess is during this time, the ml tried to kill himself,…
Yaa honestly they answered a lot about their past in ep 3 already, im suirised with the pace and hopefully it keeps up! It seemed like seonu chan himsekf doesn't remember the full extent of his own accident at the lab which is also rpobabmy why he still hasn't told haran the full truth yet so that's interesting too. I liked that they staged the almost jump and haran's texts as pure coincidence too
And u were right about the grandma !! :((( just hoping they end her arc on a hopeful optimistic note even with the serious diagnosis haha...would be a bit too tragic for the sisters to have another loss as they're all just beginning to heal :")
The high school couple almost gave me a cavity with how sickly sweet they were but I'm enjoying everything else about this show so far. I had no idea chae jong hyeop had this much screen presence! He's truly carrying this drama for me.
Just hoping this show stays mostly lighthearted and optimistic and not too heavy with all these wonderful characters...
I just saw the press con and seo in guk mentioned his character has a huge plot twist at the end and now im wondering if this will be the same old set up of "he always loved her but was pretending to be rude the whole time"? Like if he is the one created the game and all the cameos were him in different forms coz he felt like he couldn't reach out to her directly or something along those lines? I really hope that is not the direction they take but im really curious what other twist there can be considering it only involves his character?
Sorry, bad writing, and you run from these women, not stick around and support them. If they wake up from the…
So u r saying just coz the ml now has feelings for the fl, she should just throw away everything and magically start reciprocating while she's had a long time crush on her senior this whole time, is still grieving, became a guardian to a toddler overnight, and is still working a contract job trying to get a permanent role? Meanwhile the ml is alrewdy established in his career and has the liberty to give more (which btw he doesn't *have* to but he chooses to and thats on him, not her)? ls it right to expect hyun jin to magically reciprocate feelings she needs time to understand herself just coz the ml likes her? The ml is *choosing* to like her, he isn’t forcing himself on her and that's healthy. Likewise she never said she reciprocated and is therefore doing nothing outwardly to lead him on. Whether he gets "his feelings crapped on" is for him to deal with, let's pls stop trying to hold women responsible for everyone else's feelings even when it's not their fault. It's 2026 for gods sake😑
there's nothing beyond the surface here she signed up to be the gaurdian of the kidml is the one caring for him…
The ml is not tho? Hyun jin informs him every time she needs to work overtime which was anyway part of their contract which everyone seems to forget (that he takes care of woojoo when she's at work?) She's responsible for him on weekends, after work, every morning, literally every other time? Name one actual instance other than the time he got hospitalized when hyun jin *alone* neglected the child?
Y'all r just upset she isn't throwing herself at the "green flag" ml and is actually behaving like a normal woman in her 20s for once. Also she isn't giving sparkly eyes to the sml? This feels like something a man would say before taking advantage of a woman who verbally never said "yes"? He literally asks his coworker why she looked uncomfortable when he confessed which means even someone as clueless as he recognized her discomfort and awkwardness around him, yet the viewers can only see her "sparkly" eyes?? This feels like the usual bias against women for literally doing nothing wrong but still needing to emotionally carry the feelings of everyone else in her life coz they showed them first. And im sorry this isn't Victorian england, it doesnt work that way anymore. Hyun jin is fulfilling her duties she signed up for having to work twice as hard coz she's still a contract employee and not permanent (until ep 8 that is) while living her life. She didn't commit to either of them. Like her friend said, she needs to understand her own feelings first before she can make up her mind like everyone is rushing her to do. And if that takes 3 dates with the sml, then she has every right to do it.
This is one of those dramas u have to look beyond the surface to appreciate the character work. Ofc the writing is far from perfect and sloppy especially wrt the fl but there r sooo many subtle moments between the fl and ml right from the beginning that set up their relationship to the point where their eventual coming toegther romantically will feel earned and natural rather than out of the blue. They have a solid foundation of friendship after starting out as complete strangers and both r obviosuly attracted to each other. The sml is a nostalgic memory as far as the fl is concerned and refusing him outright without giving him a fair chance probably feels difficult for hyun jin because he was such a big part of her life for a while and especially when she's already admitted to wanting to be his "suzy" 😅
Idk maybe this is a difference in what counts as "romance" but i would rather take scenes with an actual friendship and natural camaraderie building up (like they do with taehyung and hyunjin especially in the second half of ep8) than two lousy "romantic" dates that seem so comically artificial (like they do with the sml). I also like that they're giving the fl agency to make her own decision regarding who she spends time with rather than policing her coz she decided to raise her nephew and has a housemate who admitted to liking her but she never said she reciprocated so then how is she leading him on?
Likewise, love how they're subtly setting up the ml's own agency in his feelings for hyun jin and him outgrowing his own abandoment wound and perpetual need to keep waiting when he goes to bed with woojoo before hyun jin even returns showing that he's slowly healing his own trauma too. He never forces his feelings on hyun jin and even tells her he doesn't expect her to reciprocate. Doesn't guilt her for spending time with another man coz he recognizes he doesn't own her or have any more right to her time than anyone else does. He's simply choosing to still like her on his own and that's beautiful.
Regarding parenting, I'd say both taehyung and hyun jin r doing what they can but both keep messing up from time to time which is expected and realistic. Again i fail to see how only hyun jin gets called out when taehyung has his moments of "neglect" too. Like when he dumps a crying woojoo onto the neighbors and goes to work, or when he wants to spend time alone with hyun jin so he dumps woojoo onto his father who is basically a stranger, etc etc. Again the show is setting up the fl poorly by giving a lot more screen space to the ml and woojoo together but if u actually watch the show and read between the lines, hyun jin is still holding up her part of the contract too. Every time she's working over time she makes sure to inform taehyung too. That scene in ep 7 where he's calling her and she doesn't pick up again feels deliberately done to set her up lol coz taehyung literally says in the same scene how hyun jin informed him that she'd left work and was coming home and *he* was only calling her to check up 🤦♀️
