I really wish there were more 16-episode K-dramas like this. I checked through MDL's search filter and, so far this year, there have only been five K-dramas with that episode count, which is quite mad considering we're already nearly halfway through 2025. There are more on the way, of course, but back in the day, 16+ episodes used to be the standard. Now they just keep getting shorter and shorter.
Definitely I'm here for Liu Xue Yi. Not a fan of the FL. I dived into this drama to check if it has the same vibe…
Can you please explain the plot of this drama in a little more detail for me please. I saw some clips and she kissed Xue Yuming in a car, but isnt her boyfriend Yu Jian? so was she cheating or did they break up first? Im a little confused, can you give me a an Idea of whats the story is about as the synopsis here didnt really help me understand much
You do realise this show is literally called The Devil’s Plan, right? It’s a psychological strategy game where manipulation, lying, and screwing people over is how you win. If you're crying because Hyungyu didn’t hold everyone's hand through it, maybe this genre isn’t for you. Try watching The Angel’s Plan... if it ever exists, where everyone shares their secrets and sings kumbaya.
And let’s not pretend the others were saints. Every single one of them, apart from Justin, used others to push their own agenda. Hyungyu was just better at it. At one point, the entire group ganged up on him, but you didn’t seem to have a problem with that, did you? Oh right... it’s only wrong when he plays the game well. What a joke.
This is a psychological thriller. It literally says so in the genre section. Mind games and strategy are the whole point. If that offends you, you're clearly watching the wrong show. Everything that happens in the show stays in the show. Don’t forget, it’s just a game at the end of the day. In the final episode, everyone congratulated him happily while he apologised, and they were all smiles with no genuine hate towards one another. They all knew it was a game. He simply played it better than the rest and made full use of the show’s title, The Devil’s Plan.
Since the subtitles are AI-generated, I'm worried my brain might take a serious hit trying to understand what's going on. iQIYI is known for frequently using AI-generated subtitles for their Chinese variety shows, and its usually not good (well its AI, so fair enough). Is there anywhere that offers official subtitles?
I can't figure out what's going on. I'm halfway through ep 2 and I can't figure out if there's a plot. Help?
I might be wrong, since I haven’t seen it yet, but if it’s like its spin-off, Resident Playbook, which I’m watching, it doesn’t have one big story that goes all the way through. Instead, each episode is its own little story, focusing on different situations or characters, and everything gets wrapped up by the end of each one. That said, there is still ongoing development, such as character growth and a slow-building romance between the main leads. So, no, there isn’t one big story that runs throughout the drama, but the characters and their relationships do change and progress over time.
Very good film. It made me feel sick to my stomach seeing what happened to the girls, but overall it was a good watch. I'm so glad the high school girl survived, and that both the FL and her got the revenge they deserved.
Genuinely... What was the point of that fake kiss in the lift?!! We all know they didn't actually touch lips in that scene when the back of his head was facing the camera. That had better not be the only one we get, or I’ll be seriously upset 😂. Don’t ever tease us with a fake kiss like that again!
I thought you liked me.Who talks like that in front someone they like? I guess you don't like me anymore. That's…
I have not started watching this yet. There are a lot of mixed comments. Is there any romance in this drama? There are no romance-related tags or anything.
The SML is an absolutely idiotic character. He does all that just to finally get closer to the FL and announces their wedding, then starts acting like a complete weirdo in front of her. He puts wasabi in everything she eats, forces her to watch horror movies, and does loads of other stupid stuff. How do you fumble that hard? All he had to do was keep acting like he did in the first ten episodes. Obviously, I I know he wouldn't have succeeded anyways, but I just found it hilarious how someone can keep up a whole facade for so long, get so close to what they want (well, sort of), and then completely ruin it like that, what an absolute idiot.
I did notice he will have a cameo in 'Taxi Driver - Season 3', but I wouldnt count that.
