I always love a reverse-role plot with a rich FL and a not-so-rich ML. You don’t see this very often.

Tbh, the male lead in Undercover Miss Hong is also getting quite a bit of hate because of his looks. People have…
I don’t think men and women are treated exactly the same either. There are definitely different standards and pressures, especially for actresses. I just don’t think it’s as simple as one side having it easy while the other gets all the hate. I’ve seen both male and female leads dragged for their looks, just in different ways. But yeah, I’m glad we agree on the main thing. Going after anyone’s appearance doesn’t really add anything to the conversation about the drama.

I get that actresses often face intense scrutiny, especially when it comes to beauty standards. The industry can be harsher towards women in certain ways, and that’s definitely a real issue.

My point wasn’t to deny that. I just don’t think appearance-based hate is exclusive to one gender. I’ve seen male actors dragged for not being ‘handsome enough’ or told they don’t deserve lead roles because their visuals aren’t ‘on par’, which is just as shallow.

So for me, the bigger problem is how normalised it’s become to judge actors primarily on their looks, regardless of gender. We can criticise acting, writing, or casting choices, but attacking someone’s appearance shouldn’t be acceptable in any case.

everyone here talking about PMY's looks... what a misogynistic world we live in lmao leave the girl alone. never…
Tbh, the male lead in Undercover Miss Hong is also getting quite a bit of hate because of his looks. People have been calling him “unfortunate-looking” and saying he doesn’t deserve the male lead role because his visuals aren’t “on par,” which is pretty stupid.

Anyway, what I’m trying to say is I don’t think it has anything to do with gender/mysogyny. I’ve seen both male and female leads get bashed for their looks. I definitely agree with you when you said, “Watch the freaking show and stop commenting on her looks.” People really shouldn’t be hating on anyone’s appearance.

why does MDL say that it has 10 episodes but Netflix says that it has 8?
Netflix updates the number each time a new episode is released, so next week when episode 8 comes out it will show 9 episodes. Episode 10 will be the final episode.

Totally agree and one reason I'm rather cool about the show is that she is flirting with him (and Mr. Lee) to…
Just from reading your comments, it’s kinda obvious you’re not really replying to what people are saying. Everyone’s talking about the writing and why the Albert–FL romance doesn’t make sense, and you just went straight to mocking an actor’s looks and body. That’s not defending Albert, that’s just unnecessary hate.

No one’s calling Albert a kid because of his age. It’s how he’s written. He’s a movie-loving chaebol heir who avoids work, coasts on family money, and doesn’t really do anything serious. That’s why he comes off as naive and useless. Saying “he’s a grown man” doesn’t change that. A romance isn’t about looks or money, it’s about characters actually clicking.

Also, being hot and rich isn’t enough to check the “romantic lead” box. Especially with a strong FL, people expect him to have some maturity, competence, or at least support her in some real way. Albert might grow later, but right now the drama hasn’t shown any of that.

And again, calling someone “very unfortunate looking and very heavy bodily” has nothing to do with chemistry or story logic. It just derails the conversation into personal attacks on the actor rather than the character 🤦‍♂️

Spoiler so be warned.

He actually ends up with Yoo Se Hui even in his second life in the webtoon, and it’s romantic, not a business thing, so the ship is pretty valid.

what does it mean the last scene? the money one? that they take some bribes from the "force's of justice of…
For the last scene, It’s not really about simple bribes. The scene is showing collective corruption. All those officials are meant to be the “forces of justice”, but instead they are pooling dirty money together like it’s a normal ritual. It symbolizes that they are all tied to each other. Shared money, shared guilt. The law isn’t protecting people in this world, it’s something they trade and profit from. For Han-young, that moment is him realizing the system isn’t broken, it’s rotten all the way through basically.

Yeah, same. I feel like one of Han Young’s close friends might die, especially the gangster angel friend for some reason. I hope I’m wrong though.

Yea, no hate towards them, they are both doing great in their respective fields, I just stated that they were able to quick-start their careers almost instantly because of Singles Inferno.
