Miscommunication over good plot, why can't people just talk with each other

I will divide this into two because I feel like I need to get this out. First, I found myself struggling to fully appreciate this story because it gave me such a banging headache from all that miscommunication that happens between those two. Initially when I saw this come on my viki I wanted to watch it bc it sounded interesting with the plot of fake dating turned real somewhere along the way. HOWEVER; the plot is quite standard, revolving around a typical secret crush on a best friend, but it’s marred by a level of frustration that makes you want to reach through the screen and slap people half the time due to the frustration. Despite its predictable storyline, there were certainly moments that were cute and genuinely funny, which provided some relief amidst my dying irritation.

As for the characters, the first male lead (Ba Woo) was actually quite endearing at times, and I found myself rooting for him throughout. The other main lead (Ji Hun), on the other hand, was just… there. He didn't bring much to the table and often felt overshadowed by the other characters that they tried to push.

So, overall, if you're planning on watching this one maybe don’t set your expectations too high when it comes to their storyline. Overall, while the show had its merits, the frustrations I experienced definitely dampened my enjoyment of it.

Decent BL but great thrill and mystery

I ahve a few things i want to comment on this show: first the storyline captivated me with the somewhat with its unique premise, especially in a BL, and as we progresses and the story kinda unfolded itself, various elements of the show tied in really well to create a conclusion and thrill that had been building up throughout. The plot twist however, was somewhat predictable, yet it still manages to deliver an exhilarating surprise that keopt me on the edge, the whole ending of the show wherew the twist unfolds was amazing to watch. The buildup to this twist is executed with such intensity that it heightens the overall experience, making the moments leading up to it feel genuinely suspenseful and engaging. And this is something i really enjoyed about the show. The THRILL. Its a very plot driven show but it just works well when it came to all the things that happens. I dont want to spoil. But the thrill of what will happen and to who was just super engaging and well written.

ON the other hand though, one of the most significant shortcomings of this drama lies in the imbalance between its romantic elements and the VERY central crime storyline. Given that the narrative of the stopry revolves around serious criminal events, including multiple fatalities and intense, perilous situations, I anticipated a greater degree of tension and emotional depth from Joong and Dunk. The stakes felt high, but the execution of those tense moments sometimes and often missed the mark. I expected the characters to respond with more authenticity and gravity to the circumstances they found themselves in, reflecting the severity of the events around them. Instead, the crime elements came across as underdeveloped, and at times, they were eclipsed by the romantic plotlines. This overshadowing not only diluted the potential impact of the crime storyline but also undermined the overall narrative tension, leaving the viewer with a sense of unfulfilled potential.

lacking a bit but still shirt and cute

The story and premise of the show had potential, and I found myself genuinely enjoying it at points. But J
just as I started to form a connection with the characters, however, the show came to an end. It felt like there was so much more to explore,in the characters and around them if that makes sense. Also,, I believe that if the episodes had been longer and the production budget slightly higher, they could have effectively concluded in at least 10 to 12 episodes to get that part extra in.
Although the series brought a smile to my face and featured adorably sweet moments, there were parts that I struggled to get a connectiuon to—something about it felt off. It seemed like there was a noticeable void or lack of substance in the storyline. Ultimately, I didn’t feel compelled enough to wait for all the episodes to air or to binge watch it, as there wasn’t enough plot development to keep me fully engaged from start to finish.

heartwarming slice of life with a Zombie twist

I read this as a Webtoon as it originally was being published, so imagine my surprise when they announced it as a film. The film stays true to the source material and keeps the humour. I had initially thought that they wouldn't be able to keep some of the funny moments but surprisingly they gave the same energy and vibe. The show is a softer Zombie slice of life so the only hard things to get through was the end, luckily i was prepared. Its heartwarming but at the same time sad. Get ready for a stellar cast that makes the whole film be cute heartwarming and an overall enjoyable watch.

Simple just cute

This one is a real fluffy one. Their relationship is also surprisingly a healthy one, I did go into this thinking that there would be some problems with the whole boss X employee troupe, there's some misunderstanding, but it doesn't dragged out for too long because they talk it out with each other, which I appreciate much about a drama. There is enough sweetness and the chemistry is on point between the two ML. I feel like I am missing something about the story I just can't quite pinpoint it, it lost me at points due to there not being a lot of drama for a drama. It simple yet adorable which is why it's so good. It doesn't need the intimacy that you see in other countries BL it shines by being adorable.

Accident turned compulsion

I feel like I have to come with a disclaimer. I really loved the show. I actually binged the entire show when I first watched it in early 2025. When I binged it I really liked it and thought int was a thriller masterpiece, but on my rewatch I felt that I was missing something in the later half od the show. It missed the thrill that I had upon first watch. I really enjoyed that the whole aspect of the show was that one impulsive kill made him keep killing. He become reckless and couldn't control it after that one accident.
It did kinda waste the opportunity this show had to make it go full death note type of feeling. The premise reminded me of Light when he first tried the death note and he actually managed to give them a heart attack. This premise felt lacking in the later episodes but overall I don't think I wouldn't have not wanted to watch this.

complex characters with growth that its possible to enjoy

First, I will mention that I think that despite people calling the show "woke" I don't see it. I watch a lot of different shows and out of all of them I wouldn't call this one woke.
I will say that I really appreciated the complexity of the main characters Da Wit in particularly his imperfections, the way that he felt human. It was those flaws that made him more relatable, when you compare it to some of the other courtroom dramas I have seen. It allowed me to connect with him on a deeper level, feel him be human and not just a high end judge/lawyer/CEO or other shows I have seen lately. If he had been portrayed as flawless, I doubt I would have found him compelling enough to root for as the lead, if that makes sense. Additionally, the supporting characters were well-developed, each with their own distinct personalities and engaging character arcs. This made me want to get to know more about them than I normally would for a show I will watch as it airs, the characters are some where I would love to get to know more about their stories and their ambitions. These nuances added richness to the story and helped create a more immersive experience, highlighting how everyone grapples with their own challenges and growth throughout the narrative.
So, if you like some good complexity in your MLs then I can remmed this one.

cheesy bakery romance

The “Panda and Hedgehog” dynamic is simple but I really love it. The show is cute and it makes for a lot of funny moments. Like why is Donghae's characters ,Ko Seung-Ji, nickname hedgehog? (very funny plotting when you watch it btw) but Pan Da Young, she’s softer, trusting, and warm he is more guarded, and blunt. The dynamic of this makes for funny moments of opposites attract kinda show. Watching Donghae slowly soften while she learns to stand her ground is honestly one of the cutest parts of the show. AND the show's love triangle isn't really a love triangle it's more a two sided one and a bromance. THIS is just super refreshing to watch in romcoms. There are misunderstndinging in the show yes but to anything too bad. It's more workplace chaos due to Donghaes blunt personality. It keeps things fun and stops the story from feeling too heavy at times. Why should you watch it then. Its:
- Warm
- A little cheesy in a good way
- Easy to watch
- Full of small, genuine moments
It's also one of those that I keep having in the back due to the cuteness if I don't know what to watch. I own the DVD as well and the OST is amazing as well so no complaints of the drama.

This is a light office drama. It's very cheesy and with some cute animation in between the story. If I start with what I didn't like first, then it's over rather quickly since they could've talked for 5 min and all the misunderstandings they have would be understood. And that I don't like. But it's quite common to draw out shows with this, and it's a personal preference. Now, to what I really liked about the drama, I am a sucker for tropes such as enemies to lovers, rich male lead, independent female lead. It's a cliche and a classic trope for a reason, it just works out well. This is a great mix of all of them btw.
Here it works really well Donghae makes the character Mark Wang feel alive and embodies the "I feel in love with you ages ago, and I can't let go of my feelings for you" so great. He made the drama feel like the misunderstandings between the ML and FL would all be solved rather quickly rather than drawn out for forever. Its pacing is also nice it's a breather for what I have been watching lately.
I know this won't be for everyone, it's a cliche romcom with maybe not the best plotpoints but I really enjoyed it.

How a rumor can destroy someone's life.

Be aware that I have only watched the part called "The Rumor"
Donghae's performance was utterly captivating and nothing short of flawless. I found myself completely mesmerised by his character; his portrayal was extremely compelling but also brilliantly showed on screen, the way that he gets more and more obsessed with the rumour is just wow. Every nuance of his performance drew me in, making it an unforgettable experience, the plot and the suspense build up and music is placed in really well too No complaints what so ever it was great. I find myself oddly relieved that this wild roller coaster of emotions lasted only 30 minutes. The way it concluded at that moment leaves me with a mix of exhilaration and apprehension. The aftermath is bound to be a storm of chaos in its own right, and now, I’m left without any means to witness it unfold. Oh boy, that experience was truly intense! And am I Glad I watched it and finished it it was really a wild wild ride.

I quite liked this one. The main characters are charming and a bit quirky, bringing a good sense of humour to the story. The actors playing the leading roles have great chemistry together, which I value and appreciate A LOT, and get along really well in their funny and awkward situations that they are put in. I have to say that it becomes a bit cliche at times, but even though the story includes some familiar themes and scenarios, they are presented in a way that feels fresh in a way. The supporting characters are enjoyable too, they just make it for your while. So, I would definitely recommend the show to anyone who likes the boss x employee, rich man x poor man, work setting types of shows.

Action with smiles and funnies

So I might be biased, bc I am a very big fan of Junho as a Hottest, but Cashero was honestly such a fun and surprisingly emotional ride. Junho stepping into a vigilante-superhero role just works for me — he brings so much sincerity to the character, especially in how the drama shows that being a good person actually costs him everything, literally draining him of money every time he tries to do the right thing. That idea alone makes the whole show feel fresh and meaningful instead of just another action drama where superheroes fight against villains
The series is packed with high-energy action, but it never forgets to be charming. (slides 50k won extra over lol) There are plenty of moments that make you laugh or smile, so so many that It actually hurt my cheeks after I finished it (I binged it), which gives the story this really nice balance between intensity and warmth. It never feels too heavy, even when things get dark. Last real big fight made me have so many feelings as well.
The villains were another highlight if I had to say so. The way the show kinda builds them up makes you think, maybe they could be good, looks at Jo Anne, only to pull the rug out from under you — that tension kept me hooked I tell you. You’re constantly questioning people’s motives. Or at least I was. LOL
But yes it's definitely worth watching if you're either a Junho fan, a fan of action, a fan of superpowers or just want to watch something else. tI felt like there was a bit for everyones tastes.

Military Prosecutor Doberman shines because it blends the “revenge best served cold” theme with the high-stakes world of the military courtroom. The calculated vengeance driving the plot keeps the story sharp and thrilling, while the strict, hierarchical military setting adds intensity and uniqueness, making it a standout legal-military drama.
From the scheming behind the scenes to the courtroom, the show keeps you entertained all the way through. Let’s be fair who doesn’t like a good bad ass character with awesome fight scenes. And the revenge best served cold makes it so satisfying to see once all of the scumbags get a taste of their own medicine. Last day also want to see the character development that you’ve seen some of the characters are also just immaculate to see someone go from a scumbag to an actual good person feel somehow good. Overall, I think it’s a great watch. That’s definitely worth your time, but it’s also something where the morally grey aspects will also make you sit in question a bit.

Funny comedy about estrangement

While the narrative may not introduce anything exceptionally groundbreaking in terms of media, the way it is depicted, combined with the heartfelt performances by the actors, makes the story have a delightful sense of warmth and sincerity. The rich portrayals of the characters add depth and nuance, making the overall experience feel inviting and genuinely wholesome. The comedy in several scenes is genuinely amusing. Even the simplest aspects of the everyday lives of both the daughter and the dad become instantly funny due to the way they are portrayed. It's amusing to see how they navigate their challenges, making the entire film stand out. Overall, this film is an absolute blast! Its vibrant, lighthearted narrative will have you smiling from start to finish, making it an exhilarating watch that you won’t want to miss! Extra credits as well to the end credit scene that actually made me shed a tear.

Top-tier psychological horror

Strangers from Hell delivers a chilling plunge into psychological horror that’s as claustrophobic as it’s compelling. This is not traditional horror tgat priorities jump scares or supernatural horror elements. Instead, it’s relentless anxiety—building dread through unnerving character interactions and unsettling everyday rituals. It's a truly unsettling experience... Normally, I prefer stories that move at a quicker pace, but this one has a haunting tension that keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The atmosphere is so eerie and gripping that you can't help but be drawn in. If you’re looking for a K-drama that dramatically diverges from the usual fare—replacing rom-coms with raw, psychological intensity—Strangers from Hell is in a league of its own. It excels in atmosphere, performance, and visceral dread. Be warned: it’s slow-burning, deeply unsettling, and may haunt you long after the final credits roll.
