The cinematography in this series is stunning, so breathtaking. The visuals capture the essence of summer in a way that I cant really explain in other ways than japan havibg cute shows makes them want to do and almost kind of strive for vibrant colours and soft lighting that create a dreamlike atmosphere. With the scenes that they have captured the river scene etc, you can almost feel the heat of the sun and the gentle breeze as you watch, which immerses you deeply in the story. I will say not a lot of things happen in comparison to other BLs airing around the same time. It might be the whole school plot that I have grown tired of due to the many many JBLs takes place in school settings but its chill.
Generally, I found it engaging enough to hold my interest for most of the runtime. Only looked at my phone or elsewhere for some parts that was less interesting which is also why I haven't rated it as highly as it couldv'e.

I have some things that bug me in the show like how they characters leaving the other, with no word or anything. Its bugs the living **** out of me I cant stand it. It feel like poor writing but well minor detail. Despite my reservations about the storyline, the chemistry between the leads is okay and adds a dynamic layer to the viewing experience. Their interactions are filled with tender, intimate moments that makes me feel the cuteness of their interactions. It's this chemistry, coupled with the stunning cinematography, that ultimately kept me invested in their journey. Even if the plot didn't fully meet my expectations, the beauty of the visuals and the warmth of their connection made it a worthwhile watch.

I picked up Connecting to You completely on a whim yesterday as I wanted something quick and easy to get through, it was on Viki, I hadn't seen it, I looked at the summary and was like sure why not. So once again to say the least I went in not really knowing what to expect other than it being BL and that threads connected people… and honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy it like I did. So, a small thing about this, I went in because the idea of the threads was interesting. So, I went in expecting cute threads that's it. And boy it was indeed cute.

The story has such a lovely balance between touching and humour. There was great humour in it, like in the first couple mins of the first episode, mans in half naked on the roof to same someone. But then there's also at the same time, the emotional and psychological side of the story adds so much more depth, the feeling of wanting a connection when he has never had one. So loads of cute moments.

I must say this as well when I wrote this review. I love chemistry I watch anything if the chemistry is coated, and Jia kai and Da wei? They didn't disappoint whatsoever in. Their chemistry is so much fun to watch. And they are cute. I was actively smiling at points. 5,4,3,2,1 heheheh. Cute.
It really felt like the show has found this perfect mix of comedy, romance, fantasy elementd, emotional moments, colourful visuals.
So, yes it was far from original IMO since the res string of fate I have read so many books and seen so many shows that does this. BUT they top it differently in a way. I liked that. So if you like cute fun moments and an interesting fantasy minor plot can def recommend this one.

Age gap done right

I write later when the spoiler is present.

So yeah I know,I know it. Some people don't really like the dynamic of this show with the age gap. It's a big part of the show and they play into it a lot, I really liked this part of the show and I also don't mind age gaps. Know this as I review this show. SO, the 17 year age gap between Ainosuke and Hideaki was honestly one of the things that made this series stand out to men when it first started airing. I don't find the age gap between them odd or their differences in life because in my eyes it seems like Ainosuke is quite mature for his age and the way he treats Hideaki is genuinely so caring, gentle, and respectful. Similar to how Hideaki treats Ainosuke he treats him with respect, love and understanding that he was married and he is a lot older so he has a bunch of experience that Ainosuke doesn't.
IMO, their relationship never felt uncomfortable to me because there’s such a strong sense of mutual care between them. If Hideaki were creepy, manipulative, or treated Ainosuke poorly, I could completely understand why the age gap would be a concern, to some people; me included, but their relationship is pretty much the opposite of that. I don't see any sort of manipulative tactics or ant red flags in the show at all, which made it good in my eyes.

What I really loved about their dynamic was how the show managed to make the age difference feel both cute and genuinely funny without making their relationship feel unhealthy, yk old man liking young people only type of situation. They are so different yet they care so much about each other. So when you look at that its got a good sort of dynamic with this really entertaining “opposites attract” quality, its unique and done well. The age gap dynamics actually is used more of a humour aspect, It creates so many little moments of humour and makes their relationship feel different from the usual BL romances I've watched lately. (bunch of red flag shows btw, this is a breath of fresh air)

One scene that especially made me laugh was when they had already been together, Ainosuke rushed off because he had a meeting for a job interview, only for Hideaki to show up as the interviewer. I actually spat out my water that I was drinking when that scene happened at the start of the show. I just loved moments like that because the show could take their unusual circumstances and turn them into something genuinely funny and adorable. Overall, I think the healthy and respectful nature of their relationship is a huge part of why I enjoyed the series so much. The age-gap dynamic could have easily been handled badly, but instead, the show uses it to create a relationship that feels surprisingly sweet, funny, and addictive to watch.

Sweet realistic and an overall good time.

Loved this series. The parts that I love the most about this series is probably that it's a story of people just desperate to be truly loved and their partners who show no interest in them at all. The show in comparison to other shows that I have been watching lately feels so real. I am completely falling in love the characters are imperfect and real their characters are not too exaggerated and their way of playing is sweet. It talks about intimate life in their couple that is going badly and talks about their desire and their feelings deep down their relationship evolves little by little without exaggeration. Overall, this is a good watch that I can recommend if you want to watch something a bit more sweet and realistic.

So, I just finished watching this drama,, I did it over two times watching 12 episodes at a time since they are short its easy to get through, so honestly, it was a pretty decent watch. It had some really good push-and-pull dynamics between the leads, which was probably the biggest thing that kept me watching. Their chemistry was good. It wasn't amazing but it was good, a lot of tension and angst. So the two actually hurt each other a bit but I can deal with that. The chemistry made it be good enough that it got me slowly invested in the remaining part of the story.

The whole dynamic is a well what would I call it I don't just kinda weird in a way but alas when you take into account that she starts out wanting revenge, only to eventually develop real feelings for him. For the most part, it follows a pretty standard “she’s faking it, he falls hard first, and eventually she falls in love too” kind of storyline. Nothing particularly mew or anything but well its okay minor details, but it was done well enough that I didn't felt like dropping it.

I don’t usually watch these types of dramas normally, so this was a little outside my comfort zone, but I ended up really enjoying the couple of hours it took me to get through it. It’s definitely not a perfect drama or one I will ever rewatch, but it was entertaining enough to keep me watching until the end, and sometimes that’s all I really need from a show. Keep me entertained long enough that I don't drop it and it can slowly get me into the story.

Good concept → generally engaging → occasionally confusing/rushed.

I have such mixed feelings about Wu. There were so many things about it that I genuinely liked, especially the supernatural side of the story. I really enjoyed getting to see the Thai and Chinese cultural elements surrounding the supernatural, the demons, the rituals, and all the mythology that came with it. That genuinely intrigued me a lot, it made me invested and made me finish the story instead of dropping it. I kinda considered it but the cultural elements kept me there. There was something really interesting about that side of the show, and honestly, I wish they had leaned into it even more.
At the same time, I don't think I ever had that WOW moment while watching. There were moments where I could see the potential for something really incredible, I knew that it was bromance and not BL when i walked into the show, but it never quite got there for me the wow this is amazing feeling. Everything felt like it was almost there — the concept, the supernatural themes, the mystery, the characters — but somehow the execution left me feeling a little... meh.
I wanted to feel more immersed in the mythology and more impressed by what the show was building but the worldbuiling just didnt hit it for me in the end.
SO if i have to make a feeling here id say, I did enjoy it, and I'm glad I watched it, and finished it at the end. I just kept coming away thinking “this could have been SO much more.” The supernatural themes were probably my favorite part, which makes it even more frustrating because I feel like there was a genuinely great show hiding underneath the somewhat meh delivery.

Cute watch

So, theres a few things I feel like I should mention in my review here. Overall, The Air was an enjoyable watch, although there were definitely a few things that bothered me. One of the biggest was the way the foreign setting/characters were handled. I’ve had a similar issue with other shows where a character is from a foreign country but somehow speaks a language that isn’t particularly close to their own, especially when the country isn’t even a neighbouring one. It just felt a little strange to me and gave me some weird vibes from the beginning. Minor details since this is a Thai show so it makes a lot of sense that they would mainly be speaking Thai, so none there its just the whole Blew's apparent mother tongue being english but speaks Thai more without having any anglicisms or loosing words, I myself grew up bilingual so it was a weird ick, but it didnt take me so out of the show too much.

I also felt like the romance between Vayo and Blew was a little rushed. It was cute, and I enjoyed watching them together, but I wish the show had given their relationship more time to develop naturally, maybe making it a 12 episodes and not 8 it couldve been explored more. Because of how quickly their feelings progressed, some of the emotional moments didn’t hit quite as strongly for me as I think they were meant to.

This was also my first 4 Elements series, so there may have been some things I missed or appreciated less because I didn't have the context from the other 2 shows that had already finihsed airing. That's probably partly on me. Even so, I still had a good time watching it, and despite my criticisms, I think The Air was a solid and enjoyable watch overall.

Republican-era dramas are not usuallly my tea but for this drama with the Republican setting—the clothes, the atmosphere, the politics, the whole historical backdrop, it made me eat the show up, like the whole historical themes with the triads it actually caught my attention a lot. I genuinely wasn’t expecting to get this obsessed with it. I am familiar with the mml Ryan Ren and I quite like him. But adding the enemies-to-lovers / hate-to-love into the equation, Yeah, I was finished. It's probs o ne of my favourite tropes that exist

SO China has a thing with mini dramas, they are fast paced and easy to get through, so its not always that its balanced in a way. At least for me, its a short coming with having something happen within short episodes, but it can balance it out with the amount of episodes. But well, this one, surprised me with how well-balanced everything was and felt, I ate it up but it didnt have everything at the start nor at the end in a rushed feeling. There was mystery, action, comedy, suspense and romance, but none of it felt like it completely swallowed the others, it didnt feel like I lost interest . It was chaotic when it needed to be, emotional when it needed to be, and romantic without making the entire plot revolve around the romance.

Sidenote: I need to appreciate our fml because she was actually strong, kind, fearless. No sitting around waiting for someone to save her every five minutes like in some dramas, you all know which ones.

Premise may be cliché, but the execution makes it work.

I thought this was a really great horror watch. I watched this initially because I saw it on viki and it game me Gonjiam vibes, boy it did indeed feel like that after i watched it. SO first, the idea is super overused but thats why it works, I think the executes the ghost in the mountains really well.

The parts where the ghost possesses Yu Xin were genuinely horrifying. The ghost itself is creepy and unsettling, and there are several moments where it really gives you that feeling of tension and thrill that you want from a horror movie. It was unsettling and creepy, just what one needs from a good horror film.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good horror. Don't go into it expecting a new concept expect cliche—but the atmosphere, the ghost, and especially the possession scenes make it a really enjoyable and genuinely creepy watch.
I watched this in the middle of the night as well, made a good atmosphere. But alas its good wether you want to watch it at night or in the middle of the day its creepy nonetheless.

Great if you like the Cliches of arranged marriage turns into real love

The chemistry was real good between the two leads. I ate the show up since they had such good chemistry but I the story was quite all over the place sometimes.
Overall, the plot is seen everywhere its very cliche, arranged marriage, hidden identity, miscommunication and falling heads over heals in the person you're married to because you don't know them since it was arranged. HOWEVER, just because its cliche doesn't mean it was a bad drama. It was designed as a short web-series so the episode's are short and very easy to get through which was very nice since i got quite invested in the characters.
BUT I have to be honest as well I mostly picked it up from the tags and used it more of a time pass kind of drama, which is why I don't think I will rewatch it unless I am really in the mood for Ryan Ren who I think is a good actor. I also think the ending was rushed a bit. But yes a good short show which you can watch in less than 6 hours.

Different version of Merry my husband

I have to be honest as well. Like some of the other reviews also note this feels like an adaptation of Marry My Husband. Just not officially listed as an adaptation. Because Her Trajecting takes the brilliant revenge blueprint of Marry My Husband and injects it with fast-paced Chinese mini-drama energy, the episodes are 15 minutes long and not an hour. Meaning it fels way faster and not so slow paced like the Korean original. Also, instead of a corporate chaebol romance, it relocates the story to the entertainment industry with a celebrity male lead. Because it’s shorter, the plot trims down the filler, heightens the dramatic tension, and leans into the intense, immediate chemistry between the leads.
SO, i'd sat that its more of a reimagining that honours the original webtoon's soul plot by plot while standing entirely on its own unique merits with the slight changed in the setting.

Not perfect but good for a binge where you don't think about small details of the show

So i will start this review with saying that the show was not perfect by any means and i most likely will never reqwtah it, but it was a good one for a 12 hour binge. Its a classic one of the genre of romantic fantasy IMO. Some will enjoy this others wont its a preference here. I will say though its funny to see how a high priest deals with his feelings of only knowing celibacy to liking someone and aæ that entails there. Without giving any spoilers. I see many bad reviews and I don't think a lot of them are justified but yeah its their taste. I wouldn't say that for this drama its overly boring to watch or I physically couldn't get through it but def not the best. THe show has shortcomings yes and poor screen writing but they also did an amazing job with what they had.

Overall, i'd say that If you are someone who expects the series you watch to be perfect in every aspect, this series is not for you. Maye just skip it and not watch it if its not the best tand you expect the best from everything maybe watch other shows theres a lot of more enjoyable shows out there for romatic fantasies. But if you are looking to enjoy watching the relationship between the main characters without worrying about the small details, you can watch it without worrying.

cheesy character development but good

I will start thios review by saying that i just found out that this is an adaptation of a manga after having finished the entire film. I found it while browsing bl films and went in blind. I will say this that i will def be going in and reading that manga now that is how i feel about this one. I t does get a bit cheesy at points, but cheesy can also be good. The cheesiness is not the bad kind you know what that bad type is where you cringe this is more heartfelt and honest; and since that this film mainly focuses on an adult relationship, with all that implies. All the ups and downs, the parallels between Togawa who is very open about his feelings and Shima who isnt really that open yet. In essences we watch two people grow closer as they face their deepest insecurities. There could def be some areas that could be dealt with more but for what is it I enjoyed it for the horu and a half it runs.

No chemistry whatsoever but easy and lighthearted

This is a light hearted watch, very easy to get through and doesn't take any effort to finish whatsoever. I didn't quite like how i there wasn't any or at least i didn't feel any chemistry from the two of them in any of the episodes. They look like they're so uncomfortable with each other actually. I have seen more chemistry in other shows that i would recommend more than this one. That one drinking scene as well or the dead fish kiss, if you want chemistry this is not the show for you unless you just want to watch something that can be finished within 2 hours. even. But it does help that theres some comedic elements to the show.
