Instead of paying for counseling to discuss dysfunctional father issues... Wonder if the writer just used this drama as an outlet for therapy instead??? 🤔🤔🤔
A Good Call on the mother scene at the hospital and her perspective protecting her daughter and family reputation…
I'm glad that the author is giving hope/strength to victims watching this. And a level of understanding to those who haven't. But the reality of reporting assault for a man or woman, even if a conviction is won, is probably exactly what the mother described happening as the chain in events in the hospital scene. And if the assaulter has any level of power... as we have tragically read about, then seems like there is still no chance and consequences to the victim.
Watched the first two episodes. The FL is doing an amazing job and the production is very well done tackling a very tough subject matter and the reasons why many do not want to press charges. What I wasnt expecting is that FL/ML are on the verge of divorce because she consistently lets her family and co-workers take advantage of her and ML feels frustrated and could no longer stand by and watch that happen. ML also did not forget to pick her up, he was no longer living at their residence and they have limited communication. I definitely get why the mom acted the way she did at the hospital. At first I thought they were going to set it up bc the mom was protecting the brother/family reputation. But she honestly believes that reporting the assault will cause even more lasting harm to her daughter. Looking forward to seeing the FL strengthen, survive, and gain confidence as she FIGHTS BACK!!! Along with the deepening and supportive husband/wife relationship as well
