Me too! I was just about to post asking for others to explain. IQIYI has the subtitles on the last ferry scene w/ML all jumbled. So didn’t get all the information on the ferry scene. But here’s my take and I’m happy to be proven wrong. The ML said he was working on dream divination in an earlier episode. So the last family scene is the ML giving the FL her happy parting via a dream before she died. The reason I think this is b/c it switched too quickly from her dying to the perfect family scene. Could have been a clear cut HE if he had fed the FL a piece of the fruit from the tree. The close up shot of the tree also showed no fruit in the happy family scene. If there was fruit on the tree- then I would have believed the ML saved her. Or if we saw an obvious shadow, then we would have also known it wasn’t a dream. Plus there was the turquoise 🦋 that is present when illusions occur- not the yellow bixi. So we just saw lots of blooms, no fruit, no obvious shadows, and the turquoise 🦋so think it’s up to us individually to decide how it ends. 2nd reason think it was also a BE bc of the ferry scene. The ferry scene to me was the reality scene. Cause that just felt totally suspicious as to why they put that scene there at all. . But I need the clear subtitles to make sure. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I would purchase the piece that is played at the end of episode 26. The string section is sick! 🎻

The OST needs to have its own cast member credit 👍👍👍

My guess was 2FL almost dying (most likely protecting the 2ML)… then the second couple coming truly back together with him 💯 behind her being a writer and having the rules lessen for all women of T Valley. 🤞

The curtain on that one has not yet been raised for that reveal.

Yes, an enjoyable amount of romance. I’d say it’s sweet, deep, and sacrificial. ❤️❤️❤️

Just finished ep 26 and I’m feeling a little nervous here 😬😬😬 Richard Li! I blame you! Oh… wait… he’s not even in this mini-drama. 🤣🤣🤣

It’s very interesting to see her persona in the assassin character flashbacks. Def not wishy washy, and gone are the higher register babyish voice speech. So the set up is showing it will be awesome when she gets her memory back!

Finished 8 episodes, the OTT slapstick silliness has almost all but disappeared. 🥳🥳🥳Yes, there is comedy. But if you dropped it bc you were disappointed in the slapstick elements in the first couple of episodes … keep going! It is an entertaining watch. 👍👍👍

Overall Impression: Plot is actually pretty good, leads are great. Now if they continue toning down some of the OTT slapstick silliness 🤪 from the earlier episodes - it might end up being a solid drama.

MDL had a different synopsis up yesterday. But they had the genders switched so they took it down. But here it is. I corrected for the genders and names “The story follows Jin Bai Wan a top assassin in the martial arts world who loses her memory and becomes a humble cook. She later meets the extraordinarily cunning and scheming qin master Qu Zheng. Despite countless trials and tribulations they eventually come to understand each other’s true feelings and decide to join forces to defeat evil and reaffirm justice.” Don’t know the accuracy since I’m only on ep 3. But FL did lose her memory, was a cook and ML is a cunning fox (smarts-wise not an actual animal) that does carry a qin everywhere he goes as well. 😊

The ML. But he isn’t an actual fox. The FL said to him that he is “cunning like a fox” 🦊

BTW… I’m watching this on IQIYI to avoid the rather creative license Mango sometimes uses in their sub-title interpretations. 🤣🤣🤣
