His expressions were really moving, and he truly managed to convey strong emotions.

You reassure me. I hope to see his character get a better storyline.

It's puppy love. I was really hoping he'd be paired with her sister but we just got some fan service in the first…
There is so much potential between Han Ming Xi and Ye Li’s sister, it would be a real shame to waste it

I hope that’s the case and that their relationship will become friendly.

I also like how she quickly perceived that su ladys intention n subtly drove her off at the tea table n make her…
I also liked that she was very clear with her sister-in-law. Her sister-in-law clearly understood that the ex-fiancé had no good intentions, but she kept pretending to be blind to it.

The way he looks at her in ep 24 kills me, he shows so much emotion and care for fl, reassuring her instead of…
Really well written! She doesn’t realize how much she needs to hear those words: “I will always be on your side.” Her senior and Mo Xiu Yao are both so caring and attentive toward her.

I feel sorry for Han Ming Xi. I hope he only sees her as his idol and doesn’t have any romantic feelings for her, but the way he looks at her makes it seem like it’s love 😩. I would have preferred them to have a sibling-like, brother-sister relationship. His character feels poorly developed.

When I see Ye Li's senior, who's so caring and treats her like family, I can't help but think that everyone at Lishan must have been genuinely kind-hearted. It's no wonder her mind refuses to accept reality. Her entire family is gone, and she most likely witnessed it all herself.

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
Honestly, I really like that Mo Xiu Yao pushes Ye Li at certain moments. Ever since he became aware of her condition, he's been incredibly attentive to her. Despite all the questions weighing on his mind, he's always tried to react in the best way possible.

But there are moments when he reaches his limit and finally questions her. He said exactly what many of us have been thinking: he can feel Ye Li's affection for him, but because of all her lies, secrets, and the things she constantly hides from him, he sometimes struggles to understand how she truly feels about him.

Having everything come out into the open and questioning how much she truly valued their relationship allowed Ye Li to break through a wall she had unconsciously built around their marriage. She was finally able to tell him how she really felt as well.

In Episode 24, Ye Li is noticeably less distant. For the first time, she isn't pretending anymore we finally get to see her being completely natural around Mo Xiu Yao. Before this, even when she was hurting, she always acted as if everything was fine in front of him. She never revealed anything unless she was caught, and even then, she still found ways to lie.

Getting a glimpse of her childhood made me realize that after everything she endured and all the trauma she experienced, her view of the world became far too mature. After coming down from the mountain, she set herself a list of goals to accomplish. Mo Xiu Yao was one of them. Despite having a childhood crush on him, she had almost given up on the idea of ever having a happy marriage because pain and loneliness had made her lose hope.

Ye Li is naturally perceptive and can easily read other people's personalities, which is why she's so cautious. After marrying Mo Xiu Yao, she gradually realized he was no longer the same person she remembered. He had also been deeply changed by his own suffering. As she spent more time with him, she got to know the man he had become. She realized how easily he gave in to her, how much he respected and understood her. Little by little, that opened her heart. Her childhood crush resurfaced, but this time she fell in love with the new Mo Xiu Yao.

In Episode 24, she even takes the initiative to tell him things without him having to ask. Nothing solves problems better than honest communication.

I can't wait for the whole truth about her past to be revealed so she can finally be completely herself with him.

I don't believe she has schizophrenia, only PSTD and disorder.Since schizophrenia, as far as I know, has no cure,…
The Korean drama It’s Okay, That’s Love handled schizophrenia in a realistic but very positive way, with a happy ending. There are also a few other Korean and Thai dramas that did an excellent job and made these stories feel very human and uplifting.

True! I just hope they handle it in a somewhat credible way I don’t have very high expectations.

You're right, they will probably not dare to address something as serious as schizophrenia. However, it is clear that the symptoms she is showing are more severe than PTSD.

At the stage of hallucinations whether visual, auditory, or sensory along with fragmented memory and dissociative symptoms, we are clearly beyond simple post-traumatic stress, especially since she has been in this state for at least two years, possibly more (I hope not).

But yes, despite the apparent severity of her condition, the writers seem to be suggesting it is more of a post-traumatic stress disorder.

A psychological shock or trauma can trigger the emergence of schizophrenic-like symptoms. Ye Li’s mind, already weakened after her mother’s death, was likely further destabilized by the tragedy that occurred on the mountain, fragmenting her psyche even more.

Dissociative identity disorder is generally considered chronic, but it can be managed with proper care and medication. However, in her era, that is impossible. Ye Li likely spent two to three years alone in this condition, which would have further worsened her psychological state. Normally, without treatment, early symptoms can gradually develop into a more severe disorder, potentially close to schizophrenia.

The drama seems to suggest that it is only a trauma-related condition in order to reinforce the idea of healing through love. However, it is clear that Ye Li already shows signs of a much deeper condition that would be very difficult to reverse without proper medical treatment.

That said, in a drama, the romantic and emotional aspects are emphasized for the audience’s enjoyment, especially to follow the couple’s development and mutual healing. And it has to be said that Mo Xiu Yao’s situation is just as unrealistic and yet we still love it 😂

I absolutely agree to you.But to expect realism in dramas, is something I don't, because we all would be disappointed…
You're right, it'll probably be a miraculous recovery, just like the miracle she already performed with Mo Xiu Yao.

In the end, it's not that big of a deal as long as the rest of the story maintains the same level of quality as the first half. Aside from a few minor inconsistencies, the story is genuinely well written. It's been a long time since I've found a plot this engaging.

I really wonder how they're going to handle Ye Li's mental illnesses in a logical way. At this point in the story, a complete recovery feels impossible to me. She suffers from schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder, and I assume she's been living with these conditions for years. This isn't something that can simply be fixed by the "power of love."

Facing the truth and having Mo Xiu Yao's support will certainly help ease her pain and allow her to regain some stability. However, I can't see Ye Li making a full recovery when her mind has already been so deeply affected and she's no longer fully in control of her own psyche.

When it comes to a physical injury, it's easier to accept that an extraordinary doctor might find a near-miraculous cure. But with severe mental illnesses like these, even the best doctor can't perform miracles.

I hope this storyline has a realistic, or at least satisfying, conclusion. It's also quite unusual to see a female lead portrayed with such serious mental illnesses. It reminds me of that Jet Li movie where his character loses his sanity after being betrayed. Even after getting his revenge and finding a measure of peace, he never fully regains his mind.

I know this is ultimately a story about romance and mutual healing, but since they've chosen to tackle such a serious subject, I hope they'll do it justice and keep the character's development consistent instead of relying on a miraculous recovery.

Without taking into account Ye Li’s mental issues and things she is not even aware of herself, I find it hard to understand why she consciously hides so many things from A’Yao. She only revealed the truth about her family to Mo Xiu Yao because he caught her in the act; at that moment, she was trying to reassure him. She did everything she could to earn Mo Xiu Yao’s trust, to make him open up and share his true feelings and thoughts, while she herself continues to wear a mask at all times.

From her thoughts and her version of events, what she feels seems closer to guilt and a debt she believes she must repay. Even though she has developed feelings for him, she is still not completely honest about what she truly thinks. She even lies while looking him straight in the eyes, with a smile, which is quite disturbing.

It feels as if, because of everything she believes she owes A’Yao, she forces herself to love him in order to compensate, while trying not to fully engage her emotions. Mo Xiu Yao, on the other hand, loves Ye Li unconditionally and accepts being hurt, while also being able to quickly calm his anger when he discovers the things she hides from him.

For now, because of her past and her sense of obligation, Ye Li’s emotions remain confused. Perhaps after Mo Xiu Yao learns the full truth, his mental state becomes a bit more stable, and they have important conversations about their past and what they represent to each other, Ye Li will appear less distant and will be able to set aside her guilt and embrace her true feelings.

He literally cut off his own leg and arm just to crawl to her… The way he kissed her hand 😭 Their acting in that scene was incredible. JZ and CDL did such an amazing job. They have to get a happy ending 🤧.
