WOW

THE BEST !!!!
that's all I can say.
The best drama I have ever watched and nothing else can take it's nr1 spot for me ever!!!!
One day I just saw a random picture about Wei Wuxian on a site not knowing a tiny bit about who he is. I just saw a beautiful picture of a beautiful character. I was like, who this Wei Wuxian is? What drama is he a character in? Checked and got the title: The Untamed. I read the synopsis of the story and at first it was confusing. Watched a little trailer of it and I was like "Ah, it looks a bit hard to understand and follow". So I just didn't care about it at all any more, then one day --still to this very second- I have no idea why but watched the first episode, really still don't know why I decided to watch it, no clue at all. Absolutely cannot remember.
And I thought after the first episode that I was right, it's hard to follow, don't understand when this whole story is happening, it was full of flashbacks and made it so confusing. But after reading a few comments saying that after the first three episodes it gets way much better, I gave it a try. And .... I just can't imagine what I would have missed if I hadn't seen it. I knew I found it ... my favourite drama ever.
Many fans' favourites are the main characters Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji. I love them, too, but for me there is only one character who means everything, he is: Xue Yang. I never cried that much when he died. On the OST, out of all the character songs, his song is my absolute favourite. It is such a heartbreaking beautiful song, cannot help but cry whenever I hear it.
I don't want to add a life-long list of character analysis, instead I would say that every actor chosen for this drama was perfection.
This is the drama that never let's you go, stays in your mind and heart forever. I am sure that after 10,20,30 ... years later this drama will still be loved by many and will be rewatched forever.
A Must-See !!!!

what the heck was this?

I don't know where to begin, but I guess the "what the heck was this?" says it all.
First of all, I just watched this because of Liu Chang. He looks cool as always. And that's all the positive thing I can tell about this drama.
The only time I smiled when Liu Sang started rapping. That was funny.
The story is simple, the ending is weird.
I was just confused and was hard to follow who is who, who possessed who, who betrayed who, who saves who etc.... so I just went with the flow and watched for Liu Sang only.
It was easy to finish since the episodes are no longer than 5 minutes or less. Does not make sense to me dividing the drama into mini episodes. Actually it would have been better to show it as a whole film, 14 episodes, each 4 minutes average, easily adds up to a 50-minute long film.

Love it!

Ji Chen alias Mr Blind Man. Ever since the Tomb of the Sea series, he is my favourite character.
I've seen the Reunion: Sound of the providence and the Ultimate Note series as well and out of all these Glasses characters, Ji Chen's is my favourite.
I was so happy when I found the Reunion: Escape from the Monstrous Snake, that is an excellent movie. After that I was so much waiting for another film with him and ta-da here comes this one, yeahhh!
I loved this movie. He is so cool. I had to watch it twice. First, I actually read the subtitles. Second time I was just staring at him all the time!
He is so damn hot! I wouldn't mind more films with him. I want more, more, more, more :) Sorry, but seriously he is my ultimate favourite!

Cupid's kitchen? NO, rather "Forget this kitchen"

I don't even know where to start. First of all the ratings: for me it's 2 stars only, one for Wang Zhuo Cheng (Victor), the second one is for the food.
I can't even tell how excited I was about this drama and how disappointed I became! Seriously, one of the (if not THE) worst dramas I've ever watched.
The amount of negative comments I gave on youtube for each episode is uncountable. I can hardly find any positive about it. Let's see how it went for me .....
Plot: the concept is good. I Like the master chef losing his taste and an average girl "comes' to the rescue with her excellent sense of taste.
The romantic part, lovey-dovey couple concept was a total no-no for me. I didn't buy it. First of all Ke Song is way too young for Oliver. Second of all, Oliver's character made it hard for me to believe he has genuine feelings for her.
Ke Song: naive little girl, always forgiving her cousin even though she is nasty to her so many times. Her character development is good, though. Growing up to the task of participating in a competition and finally accepting and following the ridiculous training regime. She became the rock for Oliver, what he doesn't deserve at all.
Oliver: arrogant, narcissitic chef who thinks the world revolves around him. Putting Ke Song through many hardships then confessing love is hard to digest for me. I found him disgusting from the beginning and couldn't like him even after knowing about his past, what he went through. He behaved in such disgusting ways with Ke Song that I couldn't like him at all. Taking away her phone? forbidding shower after9? let's her sleep on a couch in a room with no doors while he has a cosy room? not allowing her to eat just because she isn't dressed properly for breakfast and is late a few minutes? kicks her out? etc.... what is this if not a rude, disgusting treatment of another human person???
Elise: this woman was getting on my nerves every single minute. maybe because the actress is brilliant, as they say: the more you hate a villain proves the actor is great.. what blew my mind and made me almost throw my computer out of the window was when Oliver forgives her at the end because "no harm was done" wait what????????????????????????? So it is "no harm" that SPOILER: he lost his sense of taste completely, then got blind and almost killed himself????? what the heck??????????????? she felt guilty? oh boy she should have, really. turned herself in? could have done it way sooner. She made another man got arrested just because of her stupid scheme? she dragged a doctor into the story, too? (well it was not hard since he was into her like crazy) AND all this because she couldn't get over the fact that they broke up and she just wanted Oliver back and make him dependent on her? Selfish loser she is!
the cousin: I understand she became this rigid, selfish, overcompetitive girl because of Boris, he brought the worst out of her. She showed her true side as soon as it turned out Ke Song got into the competition and her beloved master chef chose Kesong over her. So, basicaly Boris didn't need to do much work with her, she was disgusting from the beginning. I also don't understand this Blu guy sticking to her like glue. After all the things she had done to her cousin and even confessed to them he was still with her. Her crying scene at the and was not necessary. Absolutely not convincing.
Victor: Wang Zhuo Cheng, actually I started the whole drama just because of him. I liked him the most. I just couldn't understand the romantic side story for him, it was totally unnecessary. His character development was also good, SPOILER: the shared 1st place was really nice from him.
Let's move on to the music: I like the songs in this drama, they fit the story well, but the singer's voice sounds to me as if she has just woken up, or totally bored with the songs.
After all these negative comments about htis drama let me tell you guys what REALLY pissed me off: the music and the singing in the episodes!!!!!!
They clearly put a lot of effort into creating artistic scenes with the foods and yes, they're magical, true art! BUT if they had the time and money for this, how come they did not care the slightest about how the singing is portrayed in the episodes? what do I mean by that? Let's see, the woman singing in the bar: clearly she IS NOT singing, and when she does, her lip movements and the song is not in sync. There is even a few seconds part where her lips are not moving but the song is on. what????????????
Victor: I got to know that there is a dubbing law in China, but why? still don't know. I guess because of the accents and all and here comes the case of Victor. It was hard but got used to it after a while that Wang Zhuo Cheng's voice is dubbed. Seriously, this guy has the sweetest, most warming, relaxing, deep, soothing voice I've heard and they dubbed it. His original voice could have fit better with his character. But when he sang in the bar, now that was the part when I screamed with anger! Zhuo Cheng is a musical singer (I guess he has a contract which does not allow him singing in dramas or what, that's why they dubbed him singing too) so why not allow him sing? Instead, they used a voice which does not suit him at all. Also, when Victor is singing, the song is not in sync with his lips moving. These kind of mistakes make the dramas6films less enjoyable to say the least.
I could go on commenting on this drama but it's enough I guess.
So to sum up, the best thing about this drama is the cooking and the fact that I could learn a thing or two about foods, cooking methods, ingredients etc... those parts I liked the most.
Will I rewatch it? Well, maybe only the episodes with the competiton. Those were really great.
For me this drama was disappointing.

AMAZING!!!!

I watched this before the Reunion seasons and Ultimate Note and tell you the truth it became my number one favourite out of them. (after Sand Sea I watched those, too so I can compare) I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this .
First I was judgemental about it, was bored on the first few episodes and was hard to keep up with all the characters but it all changed as soon as they entered the desert.
Out of all the characters my absolute favourites are Hei Ye (Mr. Glasses - damn he is so fine) and little Su Wan. He is so cute, I could cuddle him forever. I loved it when he prepared a lot of unnecessary stuff, like English book, saxphone and pink flamingo floaties ... and surprisingly they came in handy ?) He is a true friend trying his best to save his best friend. I absolutely loved those scenes when he was learning with Hei Ye, he became his disciple.
The other favourite character was the fishing rod guy, he is cool.
The most annoying character was dr. Wang. I couldn't stand her. When she was with the boys she was all helpful, she was strong and knew what to do, but when she was with Zhang Rishan she became a giggling, childish little girl. Her character was unnecessary.
Also the clans and their constant bickering over treasure was non-sense, couldn't wait for those scences with them to be over. I didn't skip any part just not to miss any important details, but it was hard to watch those parts with the clans, and the dr in them.
There were so many silly things in the series, some totally impossible situations that would never work in real life, and also many inconsistensies in the stroy line but regardless I love this series the most.
Out of all the Mr Black/Glasses characters, for me Ji Chen's one is the best, in second comes Baron Chen's one and the last place is in the Ultimate Note.
When it comes to Wu Xie's character, the Reunion series one (Zhuo Yilong) is the first and then comes the Ultimate Note one.
As for Xiao ge, he is the coolest is the Reunion series but also in Ultimate Note he is good. I felt sorry ofr him the most in the latter one, he didn't belong to anyone, he was all alone, ha was dragged along with Wu Xie and Pangzi, didn't say a word and was staring blankly ahead. He was in his own little world. His words hit me so heard when he said: "I have no past, no future. If I disappeared from this world, nooone would notice me." I wanted to hug so much all the time.
All in all this series (Tomb of the Sea) is a must-watch! Highly recommend.
Oh, almost forgot: the ending song is amazing by Xuaren Chen. I love it!

Dorky Liu Chang

Az first I didn't care much of it. I just thought, this is yet again a silly, dorky, cringe story. After a few episodes it grew on me.
Liu Chang was the reasons I watched it. His character, Keyi is pitiful at first but from episode to episode he keeps growing, developing, changing, matures. He becomes a determined guy learning to listen to himself only and follow his dreams.
The episodes are max 8 minutes long, easier to handle this drama this way.
Don't like the music that much, not my style but suits the drama well.
The other sose charcters are too annoying and way too stupid, overacted, they do not make any sense being there. They are completely unnecessary.
Altogether it's a fun drama.

Sweet series

I chose to watch this only because of Zheng Fan Xing. After seeing him inThe Untamed I was curious to know what else he was in. Read about this series and just had to check it out.
I was also fascinated about the main story line, being a character in a fantasy world in order to wake up in the real world having complished missions. I love these kinds of stories, the unusual yet typical storyline mixed.
So I started it with much anticipation as to the story and the actors as well.
After the first episode I thought, "yeah this will be a great story".
I like how the story progressed slowly, with many twists.
I liked all the characters, they were great and funny as well.
Honestly saying, I did not like Si Yan first, she was too much at the beginning, her witty, nosy, "I don't care about anybody's opinion" attitude was annoying, but as the story went on and she started to change for the better, I started to like her.
As I was saying, I was eagerly waiting for Fan Xing's character and when I saw him, I just couldn't believe he got the role of a young, definitely handsome, little pompous yet sweet guy's character. He was great in this series. Couldn't help but smile everytime I saw him on screen. It was kinda obvious he wouldn"t get together with Si Yan but this stroyline, his love was well-written. Wasn't too cheesy, it was sweet, deep love from him. I felt sorry for him because it can be seen he genuinley loved her. If he got together win Si Yan's friend that wouldn't have been a good point in the story. It would have been as if Prince Bao took pity on her and his feelings wouldn't have been honest for her.
First I didn't really care too much about Prince Da, I thought he is a real pain in the a..., but was happy for him to have finally found true love and it changed him .
Prince Xiu was the funniest for me, kind of clumsy but serious when needed. I kinda had the feeling that he might feel something more for Yun Li and vica versa, sometimes they had those kinds of stares, glances. To be honest, I wouldn't have minded a bit if it was true, but wouldn't have fit this story line. But secretly I was hoping for them to have more between them. Felt sorry for Yun Lin when he left Prince Xiu because he didn't want to cause trouble for him, and this showed me that deep down , even though he had a mission- he loved Prince Xiu and he knew he is the only one he truly cared for him. He was always loyal to the Prince and was treated fairly, so even if he had accomplished the revenge of his father, he wouldn't have hurt the Prince.
But the character whose appearance I was truly wating for all the time was Jack the butler. He is so handsome. It was obvious from the first second that he loves Si Yan. I felt so sorry for him for not being able be with her as lovers and Si Yan sees him only as a friend, though she just used him first but later relaised it was only him she could rely on at all. There were times when Si Yan kinda looked as if she might have feelings for him, though. But that would have been a silly idea from the writers ... switching to another man ,Jack that is, realising she loves him after all the lovey-dovey scenes with a Prince ... nay, no, never, it would have ruined the whole image of her.

All in all I have to say this drama is a nice surprise. It's definitely a must-watch even if it's for the reason of simply loving make-up. It was obvious that she will change as a person from being a stuck-up, spoiled, bigheaded, selfish, "I look down on everybody" girl, to a sincere, unselifh, understanding, loyal, hard-working, humble girl.
The music is also beautiful, melodic yet painful. matches well the drama.
I recommend this drama to anyone who wants a nice witty, romantic, yet dramtic, sometimes scary story with many twists and amazing, loveable characters.
I loved the details, the clothes, the make-ups, the foods, the whole image of the story.
I love in this -and other historical dramas- that they take you to another world, you can forget your busy life, your everyday problems. You can enter into a magical world for a little time. Love it!

It's definitely a rewatch for me!
