On Ski into Love May 11, 2025
Too sickly sweet for me. I’ll watch anything with these two but I FF from ep. 14 onwards. So many episodes were cut that I think the story suffered overall. The ML was written so well as a confident but complicated young man but FL was like a cutesy teenager in places. It gave me the ick. I don’t understand why he would fall in love with her. She did nothing for him - it was always him running around after her. I’m much more into more equitable, complex, mature romances these days so I’m probably not the target audience. 7/10 for me.

Such a heartfelt series with a lot of unexpected depth and moving character development. Who was the director and screenwriter?

Totally watchable. Think of it as a Go Ahead meets You Are My Lover Friend but make it all g-rated. I wish the kisses were better directed but I always say that about cdramas. I expect we’ll see a lot more of all these performers too.

Another drama scheduled for 2020 that will finally arrive. So many must have had to postpone filming at that time (obvs) and then be rescheduled in actor’s schedules but it seems like this is the year where they can be broadcast. Hurrah! 🥳

Absolutely great so far. Do we know who directed this series? I’d like to find out what else they’ve produced.

Viki has dramas and movies for mature audiences. They make you create a pin and use every time you want to watch…
So there is hope. Excellent.

What is reality? A superb thriller that plays in the relationship between time, identity and memories in the most fascinating way. The FL’s performance deserves awards and ML one of my favs. Slow burn romance done right. The way he looks at her *fans self*. Confess that I dropped this originally but I gave it another go (you must push past ep.8) and now it lives at 8/10 for me. I wish there had been kisses shown on screen.

I’m so engrossed. Reminds me a lot of what I loved about Mr Queen and Flower Crew. Funny and surprising with thoughtful characters. Excellent use of tension. Bit light on romance but I hope that’ll shift in the next few eps. ML needs to believe what he’s feeling (overwhelming attraction) so we can get to the good stuff!

compared to the ones you mentioned it's more serious. the princess' man
I love historicals too.
100 days my prince
Flower Crew Marriage Agency
Moon that Embraces the Sun
Splish Splash Love (mini drama)
The Matchmakers
Moonshine
I’ve seen them all but the above are brilliant.
It’s mostly historical but Moon in the Day was wonderful too I thought.

Somewhere Only We Know, calm but good
try Unrequited Love (2019 version) and First Love. Both campus university dramas that are sweet and brilliantly romantic and well written.

Slowest of slow burns and I got a bit tired of being teased by ‘almost’ moments but really lovely writing…
It was hard going but once the burn hits it is all worth it

Probably the one played by Lu Yuxiao??
Darcy is the ML so she is probably ‘Elizabeth Bennet’ character. bring it on!

no kissing scenes for the leads????? but why!!!
hear! hear! same director here Rising With The Wind and it has superb kissing scenes. Perhaps the writer didn’t want any in this story - fail!
