I find it on dramacool by the name ' The Star courts the Moon'. It's 9yo , but it's typical lakorn/ soup opera.
At first, what dragged me was the plot. The story where single, independent and strong woman wants to have a child, but she doesn't want husband! I thought, wow , it's just like me...And first few episodes were great. I was pleasantly surprised. After episode 5/6 they make it worse. Situation were stupid, acting was average. ML shouldn't be a ml. 2nd ML was great. 2nd couple was ok, but the way they fall in love was rushed. FL was good, but her character deteriorated at the end. When they said 'sperm hunter', i thought I was going to choke from laughing!
So, let's say this. If you have time and love to watch rom-com with elements of parody , you are on the right place. My rating is 7,8/10!
P.S. They should have left the story saying that it's ok for woman to have kids with the donor's sperm...and not that every kid needs both parents. Not everyone has 2 parents...but they are still good and healthy .
It's good that they prolonged a wedding for a year. I was thinking it's too fast, specially after the death off her brother and father. I know I repeat myself like a parrot, but they skipped the best moments... When all of them finds out (prince Feng Chang and Chancellor Ren) and see Queen Xi Yun! Instead, they put some long and very bad modified fighting scenes. So for next 5 years of peace, or almost peace, no one is having a baby? What is going on with prince Change and not anymore prince Ju? Why am I having a feeling that YWY is going to stab Huang Chao in the back? Or maybe kill his sister? (Because I don't see the point of her showing at all, as we know YWY doesn't have romantic feeling towards her). At some point, I am happy , tomorrow it's the ending. I am not satisfied, as they really have huge jumps and holes in the story. For 38 episodes , they gave us 2+1(imaginary) kissing scenes, and they were very short. I'll see how will they wrap all. For now ,it deserves 8.5/10. But who knows, maybe they will knock me down with the great ending. We will see ...
First of all, I loved the sad scene between BFX and her brother. It was so emotional. Specially when BFX stoped crying and put the revenge face! At the same day (episode) she lost all her family. I expected her to starts screaming, to put out all the sadness and anger. I really wish we had a possibility to see how and when HFX discovered BFX true identity. For the whole drama, I was waiting for that moment...and they skip it. Damn 🙄 I don't know why they still forse us to watch the little girl from the sect? Ok, she gave them the clue about YWY, so please don't bring her back. We don't want to see her again. I really hoped that prince Huang Chao was not so bad character and that he was just a YWY's puppet . 😏
Omg, I started to laugh so loud after today's episodes.
1st Really? Lan Xi still doesn't know BFX is Xi Yun!! We have 6 episodes until the end.. 2nd BFX is' meddling ' in HFX business, and yet her father is dying and her brother needs a hand!?! Helloo, its time to go home little princess!! 3rd Forgot the name of the girl who accused BFX for killing her father, then she stabs BFX..and BFX almost died, and few moments later...its like nothing happened. At least slap that little b*tch! 4th oh and the way Lan Xi slaps Feng Ju (3 times) ...hahaha, I heard in my mind 'bitchslap for a bitch '
I'm very disappointed with today's episodes! Everything was done too fast, they were jumping from scene to scene.... They gave us stupid modification in kissing scene. 32 episodes and Lan Xi still doesn't know the truth about the woman he loves!
The best moments were scenes with prince Fang Chang and prince Feng Xie Yue!
In every episode, I wait and hope HFX will find BFX true identity....and nothing . Its so frustrating! Need more romance between H-BFX. Its ok, we know they have mutual feelings, but I want more then just looks and occasionally holding hands.
Huang Chao's proposal was sincere, but I'm so happy when I hear FL saying she wants someone who loves her! What do you think, if Huang Chao knew from the start that BFX is princess Xi Yun, would he still be thinking about marring Chu Ran?
I knew BFXs brother had to die, but why...:( I'm so in love with his character here. I really hope that the actor, who plays her brother , will get the main lead role in some worth watching dramas.
The preview of ep 36 was so powerful. Specially instrumental and Xi Yun on the throne!
