If you are really boring and don't have anything else to watch or you're hard core fan of main leads, then go ahead and watch this drama!
Central story was written badly. 40 episodes are way too long. FL acting is irritating as usual ( she confirmed that this kind of roles is the only one she knows how to act). ML - the same facial expressions and acting,like in Go go Squid. I really want to see how will they act in some other genre. This starts to be stupid.

P.S. No chemistry between main couple. 2nd main couple has better chemistry, but their story is not good either.

If you like watching Hallmark movies, then go ahead and watch this drama. Most of the time I was annoyed with stupid script. Everything was done superficial, even his traumatic events. Shame. With better writing, this could have been a nice drama.

The cast is the best I've ever seen in one K-drama 💕

AMA is my 3th Chinese drama, ever. I was obsessed with it 😁 still am😂 It's never boring (rewatched it more than 10 times). Maybe you will find some soup opera that will knock you down, and you will say 'omg, this is it. It's the one'😁

I'm glad you like it. 😁 This would be just another silly drama, if they didn't put some serious stuff , but with deaths of some characters, it made more sense. LiWenZhoa's death, was unnecessary, but at least he made up for himself and his behavior.
P.S. I have to close my eyes for your rating. 😄 For me , this is more than a 10 😂😂

That's why I said, bad communication in the crucial moment. No one can handle the mother. The best is to run away as far as you can. FL specially. They all made mistakes, but his was way bigger than hers.
We have the same problem with our government too. Here's not better,at all .

So you're in the middle of your 20's. In a 5-10 years, if you rewatch SITR , you will have a different option,and all the situations would be watched from another angle.

She already moved there. And he did came there because of her. So all that implying
there are getting back together (their love never was the problem). They are away from family..she cuted the cord with them. I don't see any other problem . We didn't get a wedding, but getting back together is a really nice ending . I am gen Y2 or how we call it here generation of the 80's babies 😂

It's a real deal story. How family can destroy kids life.I find main couple relationship very cute and stable, but without the communication in the crucial moment. Everyone makes mistakes. From FL -for not standing up for herself and being introvert with high family influence on her, to ML - for not understanding FL and acting on their own ( decision for leaving should have been delivered after dialogue with your partner), oh and The Mother - wow, I still have trauma because of her (I had similar life experience )... every time I rewatch SITR , I skipped mom's part 😂.

As for ending, I find it very satisfying. And it's a good happy ending. Far away from mom, family, other people's opinion. If this should have been in the middle of the show, drama wouldn't be so good..

So, for understanding the meaning and point of the drama, you need to be a little bit older or to have some not so nice family/life/love experience. Drama deserves high rate. 10/10

As an adult, it's really stupid to not express your feelings . Specially, if it's mutual. Slow burn? What? Hold hands and just watch each other? Sex is a normal thing in a relationship.(thanks god, they are not primitive, sex is not a taboo,as they usually show in dramas). Tension,problems, denying feelings? Com'on they are not 15 years old. Stability in relationships is not a boring thing as you call it 'married for years'. It's ok if you like slow burn, but in some point you need to grow up.

As a kdrama watcher(if you are not from South Korea or some country around), you already know how is their mentality. How their parents are having a big influence on their (love) life. So living with your parents, it's nothing special (only in a few countries is normal for kids to move out, but in countries with a bad economy , most of the 'kids' can't effort to be independent before marriage.) . As for sneaking around... there's an age difference, acceptence of family and friends, and of course, in the beginning of the relationship you need time to see how everything is going between the couple, before you start yelling to everyone about your private life 😂

AMA definitely isn't light hearted drama. It's more a military drama and romance is not on the main spot. Patriotism is always number 1 in every war/military/police C drama. I have to say, in the story, only FL is a teenager (19yo), almost everyone else are few years older. (When it comes to war, even 14yo kids go to the front...and here they are students, adults, of course that some situations must be serious, even though their personalities are childish).
From the beginning, I didn't see 2ML as a part of the love triangle..but they were cute together . I find it funny when you said 'Bai Lu's male disguise just looks awkward af'😂 Why? Well, I didn't find any other drama where girl is so good looking as a boy.
To be a student on a military academy, you don't need to know how to fight. That's way they go, to learn. (some of them, like 2ML and Huang Song were already in the battle). So during the show, we can see how FL is getting better and better in every segment.(i don't remember the scenes where she is just standing still, but if you jump while fighting, you'll lose your energy very fast)

So, for me , this is one of the best C drama. Deserves more than a 10. Everyone's acting was on the highest level. Story is good. In life, not everything is pink. You can be childish , but you have to know when you need to be serious. Mulan type of the dramas are my thing. So, I'm really sorry , you didn't like it or didn't understand the real picture of the drama .

Its 40 episodes long, but I still enjoyed in every one of them.
FL was ok, but ML wasn't on my taste. Better impression gave me 2nd male leads.
Lu Yun Qi- oh , he was extraordinary. Even though he's 'bad ' boy, his character, obsession and
facial expression were 10/10
Ning Yun Zhao- he is the opposite of Lu Yun Qi, in every way. Love both of them, and both of them would be great with FL. So I am not a shipper of a mean couple.

Ending was mild, expected more actions.Love the OST. Some story stayed untold, but still, .

hahaha. they are adults 18+. I don't know from where you are, but in Europe , it's normal to be in a relationship with older/younger person. 9 years is not a big deal.

Story was great. I have just one question ... Qiao Xi Chen and Jian Yi Fan are together at the end? Everything was really fast, so I couldn't get it.

Anyway, huge recommendation for the drama.
