Came across this drama bcos of Zhang Miaoyi. Love her chemistry with Xie Binbin, so adorable. Story-wise, not as engaging as her other dramas. Biggest turn-off is their voice is dubbed on some occasion, which sounds rather unnatural. Yakisa's voice actor is the worst :'(
the main leads are so adorable, apart from some cringy scenes. i would've given more stars if it wasn't bcos of the voice dubbing. i find the dubbing kills their chemistry, it doesn't fit their expression at all.
this is Eric Hsiao's first drama for me, and i'm really keen on watching his future dramas. the way he acts, it's like he conveys emotions through his eyes too (which sadly got killed off by the voice actor lol)! i dunno if it's only me, but i see some resemblance between him and Vanness Wu. i think of Vanness Wu's Ren Guangxi (from Autumn Concerto) right away when looking at Eric Hsiao's loopsided smile, the way he stares and just how they shot his face from certain angle.
another historical drama that I managed to finish without pressing any fast-forward button, woohoo! the martial arts were so beautiful, especially on the final battle. it's my first time watching Zheng Yecheng's drama and now i'm excited to watch more of his projects. but yeah totally agree with most of the commenters here; how i wished there were more on-screen romances between the ML and FL. their chemistry was so so great & it was such a big waste separating them like... twice? three times? or even more? even the last 5 minutes where they did a flashback should've been allocated to the ML and FL's romance 🥲
dang the ending... how Ji Xing said she won't forgive him if he dared to leave her first, and how he used the "forgiveness" card on his deathbed just drained my one-year stock of tears!
gosh Tang Songyun and Xu Kai's visual are striking, especially in their wedding suits. they make a perfect couple! Lu Linjia and Tu Xiaomeng are so adorable too, i love their story.
whoaa i hardly had any luck with historical dramas so far, but this one hooked me all the way. not a single fast-forward button pressed, not a second missed my sight! only three things i wish: 1. more of romance between Jiang Xuening and Xie Wei, their story at the last few eps seems too rushed 2. a happy ending for Lv Xian and You Fangning 🥲 3. romance between Princess Le Yang and Yan Lin.

i personally enjoy the drama better when the actors themselves doing the dubbing, rather than having a completely different person to do the dubbing.
