I hope his future character roles stick with our preference 😄

His family was destroyed. He's not going to make the mistakes his father made so he's very cautious, not taking people at face value and very tough. He has to be to survive. This is the type of storyline you are watching, which is a typical story line in c-drama land. These characters soften up later.

Ding should always be placed in these tougher characters, rather than putting him in the soft, fluffy Xianxia character parts where he doesn't have any scenery to chew up.

They're like the old saying, "Ships that pass in the night." That gets boring after awhile, especially 28 episodes in with not much happening except her rebuilding her life.

Hopefully, you'll end up finding it worthwhile like many here who stayed the course.

It's a higher value production at 21 minutes vs. the 10 -12 minutes productions he's usually cast in; thus, they used some type of video Photoshop program to thin out his face/body.

It starts off slow and kind of weird but it turns into a fantasy xianxia really quickly once they leave the cottage in case you decide to stick with it.

With all it's flaws, I liked it better than anything else out at the same time.

Yes. It start off slow and the builds and builds. By the time the second arc comes around, the story is fleshed out and really interesting. All cast members shined in their parts.

The dramas he was in got lower ratings. This may have affected what roles he's given. Likewise, he may not be signed to a strong agency. His highest rated series lately is Blossoms in Adversity but now he's in a short series. I too was surprised at what happened to his career.

Agree, it would be so sad if the ML had to sacrifice his life twice.

FL is feisty. I'm with you, it should be good.

I FF the last 3 episodes as the hiding the "secret" is getting boring since he was on the verge of getting married. I hope we get more into the intrigue and plan of the various factions of the evil side, as well as the aftermath of FL finding out the truth.

The Master certainly didn't act like he loved his star disciple.

It's interesting. Either there is a spirit around that can transform into looking like the ML that did the killing, which his Master said he saw with his own eyes or the Master is evil.

Yes, you could say that based on your preference. I'll still finish FSMM, just slowly vs. other series. I watch and have enjoyed all of the FL's series. This one was slower to pick up vs. all of her other series, but then I'm an action person so I'm hoping the action picks up more as I move along.

Fox Spirit Matchmaker for sure. It's a shame FSM didn't have a stronger villain and that the story was still meandering along by episode 18 where a lot of people gave up on it. I'll still finish it but slowly.

This is one of the better series out there; however, it has such a weird schedule. Wish they would put out a couple of episodes at a time so viewers don't lose interest.

I hope ML falls in love with her fast so he can stop jerking her around. She's trying so hard to please him.
