I'm on episode 25 and really like the series, interesting storyline. The only negative for me is that the FL went from a strong, independent person in the beginning to kind of a whimpering mess as time goes by. Hopefully, she gets stronger in later episodes.

I started to worry for his health with how obsessed she was getting into those replays, lol.

I'd sure be tempted with Mo Fang in it. The actor was so great in Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty.

There would be no romance drama in the story if this was true and long, drawn out romance situations are a typical theme of Xianxia stories.

I forgave him because the series would be a lot shorter if this didn't happen and it's such a stellar series that I'm glad it's longer.

I hear what you are saying but I don't think it applies to this one. They are not related and he was sent away by his mother to study during their entire upbringing. At this point, they aren't going to have any malformed offspring due to incest.

This is turning out to have an interesting little mystery. They make it clear first episode the pair are not siblings so no reason to be put off by the synopsis.

I like the ML too and my comment was to make a point. I think there are a lot of FL haters on this site. For those of us who like the actress, we'll continue to watch and enjoy the show.

There are so many complaints about her makeup and lipstick. IMO, she looks great in this series. I don't hear anyone complaining about the male lead wearing lipstick and eye makeup, lol.

These bodice ripper series do seem to be getting slightly less abusive. The guys have less strangle-ly actions. Now, they just hold the female's neck in place.

You're probably right. Although the main leads were reborn having nothing to do with the story line, it's not exactly the same.

Yes, typical for these types of series but the part that is surprising me is the comedy in every episode. It's been a fun ride so far to see the snide remarks / comic parts..

I was laughing so hard when Shen then said to her master that XZ was so far removed from everything that he probably didn't even get the genders right when he picked the names for the bride and groom, which is exactly what happened, lol.
