This is just my guessing but I'm actually kinda sure that he is totally in love with him and he knows that... but Ae is confused about his feelings and he is afraid to scare him saying that he is already in love .. Pete is a very insecure and shy person, now that he finally find someone that care about him is terrified to loose him so it's better to fake to be unsure too.. and also he was probably really surprised so he have not enough time to think what to say xDD Poor Pete xD

More we are the better is!! that is why I keep on repeating myself xDD This serie is just too good so far, I can't stand to not have the sequel... or the spin off... there are soo many great charachters I would love to see the story of all of them!
