I’ll be strictly hate watching after today’s episode(45.) I’ve been side eyeing it for a while but two horribly contrived scenes (the tea being spilled at chairman’s house and super mom “saving” the brat who didn’t even understand the words spoken to her were her own) pushed me over completely. I know soap operas rely on contrivance and tropes usually propelled by low budgets and tight production schedules but I was face palming today.
All props to the actors though for pushing through.
I know the scheme with Seri was planned but damn the execution stunk.

I don’t think she’s built for evil. If something evil happens it’ll be by accident. And SJY in The Promise was the most guilt ridden character, I never felt he was that evil. Either the part was written like that or he had hard time playing bad.

I’m loving all the new ones too and then I’m watching The Defects with same FL and it’s hard to believe it’s the same FL that drama is so so so so heavy. I hope she filmed this one after that one to remove that heaviness.
