I like the Tencent version better. These small things like saying fate instead of God seem more true to the era. Just a nitpicking on my part.

Whoever made the decision to superimpose Master Zhu and Ye Li during that scene was brilliant! It was done so well. From start to finish it that whole scene was done well with choreography filmography lighting and whatever else oh! Acting! 👏👏👏👏👏
(I’ve only seen up to ep22, I refuse to give in to express lol) I’ve said it before now screaming it The Fight Scenes are Epic!! FANTASTICALLY choreographed and filmed. And no lighting issues with the nighttime and indoor scenes! Never have I seen a wheelchair involved fight scene! Fighting of any kind is usually my skipping point (especially in modern dramas when wood or bats are used!) I’ve actually watched these scenes more than once (except that general’s “sparring” with those lesser characters.)
(In the novel Mo Xiu Yao retains his qinggong and upper body skills and even still has his lightness ability, he just uses his hands instead of his feet. They haven’t shown us this in the drama.)
Does anyone know if Lin Mu Ran’s character is significant in the story? We know so far that ye li saved him…

Why did Li Xin Ze agree to this? Does he need the money badly? Did he get scammed or stolen? If it’s just your face why do they need a cast credit when the face is acting poorly? Maybe cast credits need a new category. Maybe VFX Cast.
