Finally, done watching, i already miss them, especially zhang haixia 😭😭😭, even losing the calm haixia…
Love you seven times was my favorite Ding Yuxi drama up until Haixia showed up and stole my heart, and then broke it into pieces 😭 i had to re-watch Love you seven times just to get over it, although the god of war didn't have the happiest ending there either..

Title Key to the Phoenix Heart Spoiler
When she shot his butt πŸ˜‚
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but seriously, apart from shooting his butt to save him, she also tried to save those women and protect him with his sword. That was very brave and admirable, probably enough to impress the guy

Title Key to the Phoenix Heart Spoiler
I have to appreciate the competition and the hug scene in episode 10. The fight on horses was beautifully filmed (even though it defies the laws of physics, which one must accept once you get into cdramas πŸ˜…). And the hug afterwars was so sweet, sincere and natural. I loved how they ran to each other without any second thoughts, smiling with pure joy, celebrating their successful collaboration (perhaps that's what the first consort meant when she said couples become each others joy and sorrow, but the FL doesno't undrstand it yet?). I rewinded the whole scene multiple times!

In general, not aimed at this specific scene, but i always though that in any drama, a good hug can express the relationship and form emotional connection with viewers better than an akward kiss.

I love love love the gradual relationship development. Finally a drama that doesn't just go "here, they are…
I agree, the pacing is great! Zero seconds skipped for the first 10 episodes, not a boring moment so far. With only 28 episodes total, i guess they should be able to keep it up for the whole drama

Not Xiao Wuyi knocking at Ji Bozai's door for being my second favorite HMH character (Zhao Yuanzhou is always…
I feel the same way! Xiao Wuyi is climbing to the 2nd spot fast. But the great demon forever remains undefeated!😭

Amazing start! The beginning of the first episode was intense. I like the friendship between male leads, and the funny bickering between the lead couple. Every episode is interesting so far!

haiyan said all orphans kid from southern archives were on their right (if I'm not mistaken) so haixia too
I think he said all of them have some sort of mutation. And for Hailou it is his heart on the right side. For Haixia, the only one i can recall is his sense of smell.

I said I wasn't going to watch after Ep28 but I did. And to me, it was an OE. When Haixia killed Haiqi, she had…
I might be wrong, but the way i understood it, Haixia fooled the Dark Shrimpie into thinking he took over completely, so that at the crucial moment real Haixia could come out and flip the blade. I don't think he took the medicine. However, I could see a potential solution here. Hailou clearly saw the memory of the medicine, so he may have immediately come up with a plan to also play along and "kill" Haixia, but actually just knock him out to later give the medicine. But that's just my wishful thinking..

The thought that Haixia did everything in secret and just protects secretly hurts me 😭 it's so lonely not to…
Yes extremely lonely. The way he tried to end it himself after his original mission, when he wrote to Hailou that his next mission will last for 30 years so they can't meet 😭 And he struggled like that till the very end. It's just too tragic and unfair to him

Omg that’s exactly how I felt 😭 . Bandit chief got the best ending while she did all that in her right mind…
Exactly. They showed the cure in mentor's hand for so long as well, to make it very clear it exists. Just to ignore it at the end. Ugh, it's so annoying

Yes, if that's the suffering he had to take, then i agree with what he said to the mentor in the cave - she should have killed him at the beginning, at least he would've died at home 😭
And they said they filmed 3 different endings - if that's the one they went with, how bad are the other two?

After bawling my eyes out for Haixia, i must say this. I expected a sad ending. But this made me angry. They did Haixia dirty. The guy suffers basically from episode 3 at varying degrees, gets pretty much no breaks except a few short happy moments on ep 16. And what does he get in return? No, not a reward for all his efforts. At best, a realese from his suffering. And right after giving us so much hope - the medicine exists and he didn't go mad, instead his conscience was taken over, so he didn't actually choose to kill all those people, Hailou also knows this, therefore he has a chance to heal and be forgiven/forgive himself. Even the bandit chief stopped hating him once she learned the truth. But nooo, he still had to die. And from one simple stab at that, he took so many more on the ship. And right after sharing the saddest hug ever, a very emotional scene, we almost immediately jump to the wedding of the bandit chief - if she can be happy after everything she did, than why not Haixia? Barely any mourning for the guy. At this point. I didn't even care that the mentor was resurrected..

I didn't watch the other related series, so i don't really care about the alien/meteor plot. But blowing up those monsters seemed a bit too easy.

The actors did a great job though. I rarely get this emotionally invested in the characters. Especially Haixia.

Not FoF, i'm not over that heartbreak yet 😭 but i agree, even if he could survive and get over his madness,…
I haven't seen this yet, this is just so sad and unfair to Haixia 😒

And yes, i agree and lean towards the Yinglong theory the most. Haixia will either want to end it himself, or go out in a way that at least helps Hailou in some way, similar to Yinglong. Having Hailou do the deed would be too tragic for both.
I still really hope it's a happy ending for both boys though, however unlikely it is 😒

The way this drama is literally so depressing that I pray so hard Haixia miraculously makes it to the end πŸ˜πŸ™Edit:…
Not FoF, i'm not over that heartbreak yet 😭 but i agree, even if he could survive and get over his madness, the guilt would probably be too much 😒 just like the great demon
