- Towards The Truth- The Vendetta of An- Nirvana in Fire- Judge Dee's Mystery- Kill My Sins- A League of NoblemenSlight…
Hahaha... Although Nirvana in Fire is really good but it's quite heavy with the palace political intrigue. So probably not everyone can stand such 54 episodes. If you are also into such genre, you might as well check these 2:
- The Longest Day in Chang'an - The Wind Blows from Longxi
People should not compare this series with other same-type series. Seriously don't, because this series is based on a classic wuxia/gong'an story [The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants, firstly well known in 1879 before finally published in around 1880s] even much older than Jin Yong's wuxia novels.
So, if you want to be fair, those other wuxia series author was the one who followed this. [Jin Yong once said that one of his inspirations for writing his wuxia novels is The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants]
No need to compare or badmouth or even give low ratings if you dislike it.
Each series has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Each series deserves to be respected. ๐๐๐งก
I too really wanted to see how he was cured since everyone was saying he was going to die before they found it.…
They did. The missing catalyst was what needed on that prescription. Tang Tian Hao told about this when he and Zhan Zhao had a private conbersation. [It's shown on the last episode flashback]
I too really wanted to see how he was cured since everyone was saying he was going to die before they found it.…
Bai Yutang found the catalyst to make the antidote. He was gonna tell Zhan Zhao before getting trapped and shot by the arrow.
It seems the last catalyst is the cocoon [I forgot the cocoon's name] that Bai Yutang's brother found on the mountain. It can be seen at the scene after the fight on the tower.
So, with the antidote formula and the last catalyst is found, it can be considered that Zhan Zhao was successfully cured from the poison.
Like the story, had piles of action, mystery and suspense. All the main villians didnโt escape justice, wish…
It was mostly likely shot by Bai Yutang.
Bai Yutang knew Zhan Zhao wanted to kill the villain but as an official he could not kill the imperial family so he chose to take the shot for Zhan Zhao.
Also, the arrow was short, it looked exactly like the ones were shot at them on the trap.
Zhan Zhao was my first superhero since my childhood time.
How happy I was when I knew they created a new Zhan Zhao series, and how happy I am that as an adaptation, the screen writer and production team still followed most of the original story.
How pleased I am that this Zhan Zhao still wore his famous red robe, still benevolent, righteous, upholding justice, handsome, and gentle.
And yes, Zhan Zhao indeed avoided to kill unless it's very necessary. But I think being injured by Zhan Zhao can be considered as half crippled.
37 episodes full of fighting scenes, fast pace, really focus on the story, more problem-solving, less to none misunderstanding.
All kinds of emotions are perfectly shown by the actors. I kinda pity some villains because of their background story.

Zhan Zhao wanted to kill the old prince but the consequence would be huge if he did it, so Bai Yutang took the shot instead.
Surprisingly, this era could bring the great Zhan Zhao, even better than some older generations.
Tang Tian Hao told Zhan Zhao that he still couldn't find the most important catalyst to create the antidote.
Bai Yutang somehow could figure out what the missing catalyst is. It's the dawn-dusk cocoon, the one that his brother found on the mountain.
So it can be concluded that they finally suceeded in creating the antidote and Zhan Zhao was cured.
This whole info and hint can be seen on the last episode through some flashback scenes and also there's the cocoon shown after the candle scene.
Hope it helps clearing out your confusion.

This is what Wuxia should be... ๐๐งก๐
5 volumes
392 chapters
After watching 4 episodes, I think this is the strongest character that Chen Du Ling has ever played.
I do really hope, since it's only 24 episodes, they won't 'destroy' the rest of the episodes with some unnecessary scenes or whatsoever.
