He hurt his brain and spine. Not only that he became paralyzed but also reverted back to his child self. Throughout the series he 'magically' regaining everything, as if nothing happened. He did all of this in less than a year.
BTW IF YOU READ THIS, WATCH THIS DRAMA, IT IS AMAZING, 10/10!! DONT READ ANYTHING ABOUT IT, JUST WATCH IT AND YOU'LL SEE
