Just curious, what are you guys fav scenes/moments up until Ep16?
YH sleeping outside her room, QS’s hilarious “dreams” of YH in her bed, QS and Lawyer Lin coming to an agreement and Lin explaining she wants fairness, every scene where QS dominates YH’s mom and YH carrying her from elevator ❤️
Our leads are getting sweeter and sweeter. XK in this role is so gentle and kinda vulnerable in a way, which is…
I agree with you. Their awkwardness when they talk about feelings or their motivations for actions regarding each other seem so authentic. Lol feigned authenticity but the heavy awkwardness is so real. Ep 16 dragged some parts with the family dialogue and now im not looking forward to the next episodes bc we will have cliffhanger drama with the firm
Any particular reason why this drama is releasing trailers so well in advance? Is it to maintain the hype? I’m trying not to watch them beyond tomorrow’s episodes bc I’m reading a lot of angst here!
Who else looking how does the morandi color palette looks like? 😂
Lol I also got tired of that lyric so I just looked it up:
All of us have seen countless colorful colors, however, how much do you know about colors? Is there one color that can give you a peaceful, elegant and pure feeling? Yes, the answer is Morandi colors, a group of soothing and peaceful color.
Morandi colors refer to a muted and pale color palette, which is not bright as if covered with a layer of gray tone. Morandi colors has rich connotation without a tendency to show off, releasing the soothing elegance. In this palette hue, everything is not flamboyant and quietly shimmers the simplest charm and the direct inner happiness and tranquility, so that the visual sense can achieve a perfect balance.
Morandi colors are derived from the paintings of Giorgio Morandi, a famous Italian printmaker and oil painter. In his paintings, the subjects are simple objects that could be easily seen in our kitchen, such as cups, plates, bottles, boxes and so on. However, these everyday objects present a distinguished senior feeling through different brushes and color combinations. He abandons the personality of flamboyant color, infiltrates gray and white tones in each color and transforms the original rich and gorgeous colors into muted tones with elegant and advanced gray texture. These muted colors are gentle and cold, but such a tone of the opposite bright line makes the whole painting full of mystery, giving people elegance, novelty, sincerity and comfort.
Welp…I usually don’t drop shows but after FF too many consecutive episodes I couldn’t handle it anymore. I like ZLS (better in WRTW) and ZYC (better in Sleepless Princess) is okay but I couldn’t even stay for them. The story/plot line was tied together too loosely. So…she’s on a revenge mission? He’s on a protect her at all costs mission? It’s hard to believe he’s loved her so for long despite his confession to her…? It all just seems patched together where you’ve watched this many episodes episodes for the sake of the leads but even with nothing good to watch now I still had to let it go…
I love the social commentary and discussion of gender roles woven into the storyline (QS at Jin’s house hanging with the “men”/YH reprimanding his mom is making QS lose face in her workplace ). I love the supportive role the “spouses” play for each other in the workplace and home life. Each time YH (not Yehua 🤭) picks up her shoes, spouts ridiculous love lines at her or displays any caretaking (picking her up when barefoot) I melt 😍. I’m excited for more social commentary and less stupid 2nd brother’s messed up life 😒
I’ve never seen these actors before and I think the ML did the best especially portraying “2” characters and his facial expressions really showed him wrestling with his confused feelings for her.
The ending was good for the leads. I was still sobbing even though it ended up well.
Overall this story had a million billion plot holes. I don’t understand why 2022 ML didn’t Google 2022 FL lead immediately and find out more about her in the early episodes. It’s like they pretended there was no technology or means to learn about each other.
The 2FL …I’m not sure why her character was portrayed so stiff. I wasn’t feeling it but I’m glad they had less screen time and I didn’t have to fast forward too much.
If you’re here for cute ML, you got it! Once they get together I loved FL and ML. But really, you’re going to have to put your logic away for the first 1/4 of this show and most of it.
I liked the double doorways, it added more to the story line and I loved their wedding clothes.
Well it’s November 2022 and clearly they haven’t fixed the gawdawful subtitles. I don’t know how anyone can even rate or watch this unless they have some background in understanding mandarin. I watched it on Amazon Prime for context.
This “romance” is definitely a filler between shows. It was the first time I saw the leads. Acting - passable. The crying from both leads was believable. 2ML’s role made you pity him, glad he didn’t turn shady and destructive. Glad 2FL love rival turned out to be a reliable “sister”. Story progression- when they introduced that BS arc with the last princess I threw my hands up in the air. Like, why…? They were already unstable in their relationship, the leads didn’t need another arc to show they were unstable but loved each other despite it. Man, ML’s brother’s storyline hurt me. Those couple of scenes with him really 💔 and was an interesting twist. CGI/fantasy attempts: Pitiful. Best was when she was a white dragon for a minute. Everything else was 🫠
Episode 35 ending was the BIGGEST BS EVER. Even the whole “journey” was weird. You could tell the studio set it up for bonus cash grab from viewers. Then, episode 36 was also so … I dunno. They probably shouldn’t have ended the entire show on a group scene without the mains. I find it unbelievable in the drama world that they left the kid for so long. I’m glad the uncle was STILL loving as always but wish he ended up with a partner he loved and not the “empress they need”.
Watch it if you need filler. Kisses were “here, touchtheclosedlipsbutpretendyoufeelthepassion”. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great.
im trying so hard to finish this omg. im finally at ep 30. at least its better than other dramas with similar…
I’m literally at ep 30 when I saw your post and this is still such a drag. This entire storyline with the Infanta is trash. It is even WORSE that the subs are 1000% terrible.
