How does this drama compare to Love Between Fairy and Devil?
Different plots and both good for diff reasons! LBFAD has a atypical XX plot and each episode is cliffhangers and the non leads kinda fade compared to the strength of the leads. IS is more typical XX plot but I think the veteran actors carry the love angst better. I love IS and LBFAD caught my attention more after Orchid goes to mortal realm

I think it’s portraying that sis needs to work hard and grind for advancement vs FL has natural talent and lucky circumstances. Thus, it breeds jealousy and envy in older sis
I watched a clip of episode 32 with no subs so idk what they’re saying but it’s so heartbreaking! Had me crying…
Essentially: DFQC knew it was a dream he was in (dream set up by her?) and Orchid begged him not to leave her. If he sacrificed himself for her to live while he dies, could he stand watching her marry someone else?! “I’m your wife!” She reiterated their promises and how they needed to be together. He broke down said he couldn’t have her marry someone else and he emotionally told her he would be back for her.
Can we just not watch episode 32? My bones started hurting from their pain and I felt so sick from the heartache I felt nauseous and the need to vomit. I’m sorry that was TMI but I pray Esther and Dylan were able to shoot that scene in one attempt because that seemed emotionally and psychologically damaging for them if they evoked such pain on the viewers. Someone commented that they think Dylan is a Method Actor. If so, thank you Dylan for your sacrifices ❤️🌙🌸
Just a rambling note - I think I love this more than TMoPB (or I might be swept up in the emotion, we shall see…
^^^ 1000% part. TMOPB and Mark Chao was my golden standard for all XX genre. He carried the show and was unstoppable and that’s how I started following YM. I have never seen CY act prior to this but this coupling is legendary and IS will go down in history too. His acting is incredible and I already liked YZ From AoL. I created an acct on MDL after lurking for months so I agree with your analysis wholeheartedly. FJ and DHDJ were exhaustingly slow for me 😒

I’m pretty sure he spit out that wine after she walked away. He ain’t stupid, I’m sure he knew she was tryna do something for his own good. He smelled it and could probably tell what it was.
You will want to watch The Long Ballad with wu lei next. I feel like he was better in that ❤️
Same. I dropped it bc I didn’t like the storyline the first few eps with FL. I def suggest you try again. I couldn’t get invested in LCG or second leads and just stayed for Wu Lei. In the end it’s one of the best I’ve watched

Also, YYAYAYAYA for Orchid choosing the Demon Realm over the Heavenly one. But I do feel so bad for the God of War 😩
