One of the best modern cdrama till now. Not for the audience who likes cartoonist type drama ( ppl who likes fluffy romance don't try, it's too advanced for your brain) It's a heavy drama, with great acting skills.
This was Zhang Jingyi's first ever costume drama. She never did, even any supporting character in ancient drama before. She portrayed Hua Zhi's character as if she was really the Hua Zhi. Rest of cast were amazing too, Lu yuxiao was good too, her acting remained me extra ordinary attorney woo ( K-drama) character. The best part of this drama is it's pacing and moving forward. No dull moment or too much heavy that would make us overly stress out.
She barely got the scenes in this drama. In today's episode she appeared little more . Who is this fans questioning…
I don't know it seems they can't stand any FL, maybe any female in his drama. I always see similar complains in his her other drama pages too. No wonder casual audience give low ratings. Just look at Jingyi's other drama ratings mostly are close to 8.5 or above 8.5. And they question her acting level? In douban lighter and Princess had 7.5 rating which is quite rare for a modern drama and they say her acting just idol level. Her expressions are perfect according to her character settings in legend of Zhanghai. They should question screen writer and director if they don't like her character and the settings
I hope Reborn comes out soon. So that I can enjoy her acting fully. She did well in Legend of Zhanghai but ML fans ( not all) don't like her acting that much. Well everyone has different taste. I hope in future she takes project where she can show her full potential, not being judged where directors and screen writer don't give importance to her character and directing it seriously. Accordingly to me she did her best. (Edit: I know most of XZ fans like her, but of course there were some comments attacking her acting in personal level, I hope they will change their mind, I like XZ too. It's just I was bit upset with those comments)
