What do you mean? There's only 3 princes so far. Changsha who died early should be the current emperor's cousin…
Ah, his fiefdom (Qizhou or whatever it's called) is in the north and one of the locations taken over by the neighboring country. He and his sister were on the run along with everyone else which is why they were like starving beggars. They finally made it to land being held by the northern army, Beifu army. The whole show is about the male lead wanting a northern expedition to retake their ancestral lands which has been eroded by war over the past 3 decades

Title The Road to Splendor Spoiler
She was in grief state earlier. And desperately needed to shift the blame. Poor lady...
At least her older son passed the exam to be a scholar so he won't have to go to war

Title Key to the Phoenix Heart Spoiler
i don’t understand this drama! i am on epi 14 but i am confused! why there are so many prince ?
What do you mean? There's only 3 princes so far. Changsha who died early should be the current emperor's cousin via a royal uncle since he calls the dowager empress aunt. I can't remember if they said Li Mao is the son of the previous emperor or not but i assume he is a cousin since he and his sister fled from their fief as children and princes (sons of the emperor aren't usually sent to their fiefdom until they come of age) and he's never called the dowager mother. Prince Wenxi is the son of the emperor and empress who died in the war 25 years ago before the nobles elected the current emperor's father to the throne so i guess another cousin of the current emperor.

Title The Road to Splendor Spoiler
everyone else has spoken plenty about the ending. I just want to mention that I was so relieve when Mo Yi's wife was so understanding. The writers could have so easily written it the other way which would just put more bad taste in your mouth after trudging through the late 20s and early 30s episodes (which were not the most enjoyable).

Title The Road to Splendor Spoiler
1. Madam Yu's 'condition' got a chuckle out of me. It felt so out of character for some reason? Like I didn't…
you summed it up nicely. Madam Yu's condition was unexpected but it also makes sense. I feel like she put herself into a self induced delusion so she can keep her dignity and pretend nothing happened.

I just finished ep 34. We never actually saw Shen Congsi and yet I felt so bad he died after getting the job.
it's because we got to know the person through his essays and his letters. I had to save and then binge watch the last five or six episodes because it would be awful to pause at this point when bad things are happening left and right as everything is heading into the climax

Is this good? I come here after watching love on the turquoise land (which is my first drama with this kind of…
Just finished ep 29. Decided to watch it after finishing the 7 relics of ill fortune since it's a similar genre and turns out they're all based on novels by the same author. The ending was so so, didn't really seem resolved, so I needed something along the same line but with a closed ending.

I like the first twenty episodes of "Parallel World" but the last few have been a lot of frustration with people falling for the lies of this user. Some of it is pretty clever but the problem is that some of the lies have huge holes in it. Why are they acting so stupid and going along with it? Anyway, I got 9 more episodes to go but seems like it'll drag for a few more episodes. And according to a review above, it has a flat ending. So knowing i was unsatisfied with the other show's ending, this one is probably similar.

Now obviously plenty of people like it. I do like the leads and they have good chemistry. So i guess it depends on what your criteria of a good drama is.

Title The Eternal Fragrance Spoiler
Yeah, drop it. Her character did not improve. Whenever it comes to the male lead she's cold hearted and ready…
P.s. if that doesn't discourage you from watching, then yes they do end up together at the end. So at least i didn’t slog through it to be saddled with a tragic ending.

Well, I came back here because I was planning to start watching TEF again. I had put it on hold after watching…
Yeah, drop it. Her character did not improve. Whenever it comes to the male lead she's cold hearted and ready to believe the worst of him but acts like a normal naive girl with everyone else. And she is weak power-wise. Even when she got a power up, she still ended up on the chopping board for everyone else to suck her power. The drama basically has her character down as damsel in distress.

Bcz In the banquet of Grand Empress Dowager, FTY & ZL have offended him. & the whole banquet situation…
thanks for the reminder the Emperor already gave them a gift.

However I disagree with the assessment that he questions her real goals. This is not about going against her father but because her mom had already told her what grandma's wishes were. Just because grandma wanted to poison her doesn't mean she stopped loving her grandma. Her grandma raised and nurture her and taught her how to navigate in a noble family. She is disappointed but she doesn't hate her grandma. Her grandma wasn't trying to kill her because she hated her but because she loved their family reputation more and reputation was important. A ruined reputation like the one Tingyun was about to be saddled with can easily lead to the downfall of her female relatives. Who can tell if maybe a cousin would end up with her life ruined or even dead because they were raised in the same household and the reputation of slut was attached to her?

Also, the two times she explained their relation and their plight to the crown prince when he was traveling incognito as an imperial censor, she never mentioned her real background or grandma poisoning her. The emperor can easily find out her background but no one knew about grandma poisoning her except for her parents. Grandma had everyone else killed.

i watched this without expectations and it was really good. It has funny unhinged moments like them fighting with…
I just finished ep 27 and it was frustrating because here Leopard is supposed to be a crime boss who is a ruthless killer but she's got some serious obsession with being a pretty girl. Look at her mannerisms. I mean yeah she can be multifaceted but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. Also, this arc is murdering Lou Ren's character. Multiple times this arc has shown his lack of judgment in the past and in the present as long as it involves Leopard.

just to add I don’t even understand a sentence leopard is saying when speaking in english
I think they're sticking with her character of being born and raised in Heisha wherever that is so both English and Mandarin are her second languages which is why she speaks them poorly

Someone said she was a ghost bride and was made all kinds of promises that never came to fruition. Since she is…
yes in ep 2 she basically admitted to being a ghost bride so she knew the deal when she married in but she got greedy. That's why she called younger self stupid/silly. It's human nature to be greedy especially when she's surrounded by things she can't have (i.e. all the fuss about Ting Yun's marriage).

I have way too many questions right now lol Or maybe Childe Qi is actually a completely different character? Like…
All three dramas are based on novels written by the same author. I've only read "a match made in heaven" but "the killing of three thousand crows" that Love of Thousand years is based on is supposed to be a shared universe.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
So I'm episode 18. FL reveals to SFL she transmigrated. They have their girl talk and FL says she's from Beijing…
Dimpled riri gave a very clear explanation. Just wanted to add that City A is a classic example of Chinese webnovels. Probably censorship so they're not allowed to use real city names for some reason or other. So Xie Yong'er or rather Ma Chunchun being from City A is a dead giveaway she is actually a novel character who's character setting is a transmigrator (but not a real transmigrator).
