Yeah i've seen how vicious it can be online. Both Chinese and Korean netizens are plenty awful. Been watching mainly kdramas and later on cdramas since like 16-18 years back so seen my fair of comments by them. It's no wonder lots of celebs end up dead.....

I don't get the hate. As a guy i find Ren Min very pretty/beautiful.

In the novel he has a dead wife and concubines. But he doesnt really like them cause of their scheming between each other. He didn't really want to but he had to take them in his younger years cause of family. As soon as he marries Gu Jin Chao, he only wants to be with her. But i don't think he has any children or concubines in the drama.

The novel is pretty different. I would advise you to wait to read it until atleast they are married. Something might happen that happens in the novel for that. To avoid getting spoiled.

As was said, its very much different than the novel. But the marriage happens at almost 2/3 of the novel

On MGTV with SVIP there was 4 episodes. I live in sweden and the drama isnt available on WeTV and IQIYI. Only MGTV. Been using Kisskh though.

Doesn't work as well in dramas. So it's fine. I'll just treat this one as a different story compared to novel.
