Contrary to other's reviews, because its a very long drama, some find it too unnecessary long and boring. I myself is not a very big fan of long dramas. But to my surprised, i found each episode enjoyable and have even finished every single episode without skipping. Maybe it also helped because Wallace Chung is one of my favorite Chinese actors, i dont find him boring at all. And Ray Ma is very good looking.
First, i understand the writer's point of view as to why the very long drama, when they can just finish it to 20 to 25 episodes. The writer covered a lot of areas in the story, and i think she/he wants to send a message of unselfish and unconditional love between liangsheng and tianyou, and liangsheng and jiangsheng. Liangsheng and tianyou have their own love story to tell and also, liangsheng and jiangsheng too, have their own love story to tell. And i love how the writer gave, not only the main characters, their stories, but also, the supporting roles have their own story to tell, separately. That is why it became that long of a drama. This is my longest drama by far, following the very beautiful long 58 episodes of "ten miles of peach blossom".

Although my heart aches for some reason because of this drama ( i got torn between two lovers), i also had the most satisfying endings for the characters. I love how the main characters had a very happy ending, though my heart aches for one, thinking about it.
Overall, its a must watch melodrama love story. But rewatch?... i dont think so. Well done to the actors, the writers and the director!

I have just finished watching this drama and i was very excited to write a review all because of Yeo Jin Goo. What a superb acting skills he has! From the moment i saw him in TMETS, i knew that he has that potential to be at par with the likes of Kim So Hyun or lee jong suk. And i was so right. Years after TMETS, this drama finally came, with him as the lead. His character was perfectly portayed in a sense that you would not want to end a scene no matter if he's crying or in rage, moreso when he is passionately in love with a very sweet lines uttered for the one he loves. Some revelation scenes gave me goosebumps and totally unexpected. As an audience, these are what exactly what you want to feel as you watch a drama. And this one will never disappoint you. The storyline was perfectly written and well-thought of. The twist was unexpected. All the other characters had their own time to shine, even the antagonist.
I would've gave it a perfect 10 instead of a 9.5 if only i have not predicted the ending perfectly well. It came out exactly what i thought it would end. I like it better when i dont know how it would end.
Good job to all the cast, esp to Yeo Jin Goo. And to the writers and director, job well done. Another 5 star rating on my list of korean drama.

If i could describe this drama in one sentence, it would be this: It's like a walk in the park in a drizzling calm afternoon.
Although at first, i was really confused with the flow of the story especially with what they are trying to build with the device. But setting aside the device/voice story, i think that it's an overall good drama, especially when the leads are chae soo bin and jung hae in. They have a very good love chemistry, which is very vital in a romance drama. If there's no chemistry between the leads, then the drama will be dead. I love how the drama is slow-paced, very mellow, and with a sad piano music background. It gives out a very sad but comforting vibe. Although its a very simple story of love, yet, it was satisfyingly good. 12 episodes is already good for this kind of story. For those who love romance comedy, i think they will find this drama too boring, but not for me! It's just sad for the 2nd lead to end up without the only one he loves the most because of something done in the past. Another good drama of jung hae in and chae soo bin.

I am writing this review as soon as i ended the drama. First, note that this is my first time to watch thessapak hsu's drama, im quite impressed with his acting and i should say that he made the most impact to me out of all the rest of the cast. I made a few research about him and i learned that he made quite a few dramas already prior to this one. I made a note to check out those dramas too. Its such a shame that he's already married though (you know how fans like to have their idols being single).

Going back to the drama, i felt like 28 episodes was way too long for a simple stortyline. More than half of the entire 28 episodes became quite draggy because of the push and pull relationship of the main couple. There were very little development in the story. There were too much rejections and confessions yet there were too little affirmations. But im still glad that i decided to finish til the end coz come the last 5 episodes, the draggy story suddenly picked up its pace as it near its peak. And the ending was not disappointing at all. Although i felt a little bored during the whole drama, i couldnt help but praise thessapak hsu for his very good acting. And i was also entertained by the turtle's character. The OST were also very good. It leaves audiences a lasting impression and would make you sing along.

Recommend to watch once.

Watched this drama several years ago, and from that time on, i watched it more than a dozen times. It's one of my all time favorite. This is where i learned to love Kim Soo Hyun. His acting was incredibly superb worthy of an award. Kim Soo Hyun and Han Ga In were perfectly matched in this drama. They owned their characters so well that you can exactly feel how they felt each moment of every scenes. There were so much emotions and drama, i felt each characters heartache, fluttering moments, funny moments. It was a roller coaster ride as an audience. It was a blend of tearjearking scenes, thrill, excitement, a lot of funny moments and a whole lot of love moments between the two main leads, love between close friends, love of a family, unrequited love, one sided love. It was like the writer has put all the genres in this one drama. And all the casts, even all the antagonists, all portrayed their characters so well, that none of them was a waste of time for me. You hate if its a hateful character, you love if its a lovable character, and i think thats the essence of a true drama masterpiece. And the ending... it was unexpected but satisfyingly worth the wait. It was not cut short just to meet a deadline. Special mention to Jung Il Woo, who, just like Kim Soo Hyun, made this drama perfect.

This drama reminds me so much of "The Rebel Princess*, where both of the male protagonist holds so much power and masculity and would do anything to protect his woman. And also the female protagonist in both dramas exudes elegance and strength of a wife who gives her full support to her husband, working silently behind the scene to help the love of her life. Both dramas, i like so much, because it has all the elements in it, drama, stunning action, comedy, funny lines, cute and sweet moments. Although rebel princess is just a notch higher for me, this drama is also as good as it is. There were times when it has a boring moments but the actors did a very good job portraying their characters well that those boring timelines i will have to let it pass it by.

The flow of the story is also okay. It will make you think of what might have happened in the past that this certain character is showing this certain feeling in a certain scene. Although it was rushed in the end but you can pretty much figure out that it was a happy ending. Although im not much of a big fan of a rushed ending.

The OST is really very good as well. It will linger kn your ears for a long time.

Overall, it was a good drama, not too long nor too short. And the actors did very great especially the lead actor, i really liked him.

Phenomenal

This is probably one of the most amazing storyline, characters, cinematography, fight stunts, settings, i've seen in more than 400 chinese and korean drama i've watch over the years. After i have watched the last episode, it just left me speechless and in awe of what i have seen in the past 4 days. My lack of sleep because of this drama was all worth it. And i should say that REBEL PRINCESS is definitely at par with my all time favorite chinese drama, Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and korean drama, Moon Embraces the Sun.

Firstly, and probably the most important for me, as a big fan of a historical romance drama, the love between xiao qi and awu is something to be proud of, even as a viewer. I love how this couple started and how they fell in love in the process. And despite all the odds, their love and trust for each other has brought them to their goals as a husband and wife. I have so many favorite episodes and scenes with how the story showed the love between them, most especially lord yuzhang's love for his wife. The scenes gave me goosebumps and the lines he said was so heart flattering moments.

Secondly, i love the charisma of Lord Yuzhang and Princess Yuzhang. They both exudes the quality of how the characters were supposed to be. They were perfect in characters. As a general, lord yuzhang , when his face is on screen, you know right away that he's a mighty general. And awu, i dont probably need to say it, her face itself is a princess.

Thirdly, with so many characters revealed on thw entire 68 episodes, the love it that the scriptwriter did not waste any actors performance in the story, no matter what characters they played on. The storyline gave each characters their story, from servants to soldiers to the royals. All of them played a very important roles. And there were so many characters with unexpected twist, which, made the drama, in my opinion, one of the best stories made.

Fourtly, the fight stunts and cinematograhy has left me breathless and amazed. The fight were extraordinary and well thought of. It gave me goosebumps watching general xiao qi and his soldiers fight.

I am usually not a fan of long dramas but i sometimes give exceptions to a few, just like, ten miles of peach blossom, princess weiyoung and general and i. They are one of my favorite long dramas. And Rebel Princess is also an exxeption, 68 episodes flew by so fast. No episodes were wasted, no dull moments, every scenes were as important. Not to mention, the drama also boast beautiful visuals and costumes and a very dramatic OST. I love everything about this drama.

I most highly recommend it to those who love historical drama with lot of heartfluttering moments and a storyline that will leave you satisfied. Thank you to the scriptwriter, directors, and actors who made this amazing drama for the audiences. This will go down on ny rewatched list.

Best find

The drama has a very heartwarming feels from beginning to end. No boring characters even on supporting roles. I like how the way the love story progresses bit by bit. Not too fast and not too slow either, for both couples. I fell in love with ML's character, icy/tough looking outstanding cop but has a very soft heart when it comes to the love of his life, Mika. I am always fond of watching soldier-doctor, soldier-lady boss romance drama, it feels like its on another level because of the excitement their character's job gives and YAMH is no exception, it has the thrill and excitement in every episode. This is my first drama of Bai Jing Ting that ive watched and i hope to watch many more of dramas from him. Though the plot is a bit chichè, it still has its own charisma to it. Highly recommended.

I actually watched the first 9 episodes of this drama a few months ago, but since i was watching a few more better dramas at the same time, i dropped it for a while and eventually forgot about it. But i was glad that i picked it up again from where i left off and finished the drama at last.
It actually has a good storyline. It has quite an interesting plot and a unique setting as it was a story within the airport premises. As we know, there's quite a very few kdrama with this kind of work setting. It doesn't focus on the pilot nor the flight attendants, but more on the ground personnel of the airport, how they go about with their daily work routine, the different problems they encounter with passengers and flight conditions, etc. I can also sense some kind of promoting tourism for korea, which is, i think, a very good way of promoting one's country. What better way than in a globally popular kdrama world. And what makes this drama praiseworthy is their approach in every episode to educate the public in a much clearer way on the do's and dont's inside the airport. And a much noticeable way of how proud they (korean) are on how well Incheon airport personnel handle each problem or circumstances. This drama is all fiction but, having been at Incheon airport and South Korea myself, this is what, more or less, the reality out there. They really have good working habits.
As to the actors. Lee Jae Hoon, eversince i saw him in Tomorrow With You, he exudes this mysterious aura in him, that not many actors have. He may not be a "flowerboy" handsome like many actors but there's something in his face aura that will make you feel attracted to him (of course, im talking about my personal opinion). I really liked him in TWY and i love him even more here. And i think, he and Chae Soo Bin have one of the best love chemistry. I get fluttered when they hold hands, when they kiss, when he looks intensely in her eyes, and when they cry together. I can feel every emotions from them. Soo Bin, for me, is not the best korean actress but she is way way better than most actresses today. She can pull it off with any one she pairs with. When i saw her in I Am Not A Robot, i thought that she and Yoo Seung Ho have the best chemistry ever. But when i saw her in A Piece of your Mind, i thought, oh, she and Jung Hae In are much better pair. But now, i just finished with this drama, i thought again, oh, she and lee jae hoon is a pair to envy with. I think Chae Soo Bin, because of her cute aura, she can easily pull off a fluttering romance with any actors she is paired with. The OST are also very nice to hear. It will make your heart flutter more.

But inspite all that i mentioned above, i just gave this drama a score of 8, its because there were a lot of unanswered questions in my mind. Too many characters that has no ending and was left hanging. And the ending, the biggest question in my mind until now....

BIG SPOILER AHEAD.. (please dont read below if you dont want to know the end)

Although it has a happy ending, the big question is, why was Lee Jae Hoon's face was not seen on the last scene. It was only his back, but they never exposed his face. Why? I dont like endings like that. It makes me want to ask for one more episode.

Overall, i think its a very good drama to watch.

I just finished watching this drama, and one thing i can say... its a very touching story. It was beautifully well-written and thought-of drama. It's korean dramas like this one that will make you say "ahh, this is why korean dramas are very well-loved not only in Asia but all over the world". There are a lot of genius and witty korean scriptwriters and directors who creates out of this world scripts and storyline for viewers. That is why kdrama fans like us can't help but fall in love with their unique style of story telling.

This story tells us about pure love, friendship and family and obviously about an unconditional love between a mother and daughter. It tells us about acceptance, regret, sacrifice and the heartache of losing someone you love. It will make us realize and reflect on what we consider the most important in life, that is our family and friends. And that we should live each day with no regrets coz we will never know what tomorrow will bring.

With the flow of the story itself, the momentum was always there, from the beginning to the end. There are dramas that only the first half is interesting and loses touch in the middle part, but in here, there was never a dull moment, maybe because each characters has their own funny side well blended with a witty script on hand. And also, aside from the main storyline, there were bits and pieces of other ghosts with own stories to tell. Each having different kinds of problems when they were still alive and how they resolved it.
As always, kim tae hee is an A+ actress. I cried whenever she cried and i smiled whenever she smiled. Also, with a very strong acting prowess is Lee Kyu Hyung. He successfully portrayed his part well. I also cried whenever he cried and i can clearly feel the pain and sorrow in his eyes in some episodes. I actually cried bucket of tears in the whole drama. By the way, Lee Kyu Hyung was also good in Doctor John.
Plus, the scenery in the drama is to die for... it was a spring season so most of the background especially the last few episodes, were amazingly beautiful. With beautiful and talented actress as kim tae hee and beautiful spring background, what can possibly go wrong?
Oh by the way, inspite my very good review of the drama, you may be wondering why i did not give it a perfect 10 but only 9.5? The other .5 is for the ending. Eventhough it was a beautiful ending, you know how each viewers has their own preference of how they want it to end. Mine might not be the same as the scriptwriter, nevertheless, i still think that this drama deserves a standing ovation.

What a roller coaster ride of emotions. I was practically at the edge of my seat in every episode. When you think you know what will happen next, then your guess will always be wrong. There's a hell lot of a twist in the story and a lot of betrayals. I love the plot and the characters. I love it when they throw lines with each other, its like "who will win in this conversation?". All the actors did a very good job in portraying their characters well. Although theres a bit of romance, which i really like too, but who needs it when the storyline is very well written. If you want a suspense ending in every episode, then this is for you. You can't miss this drama.

They say that sometimes you will find love in an unexpected place and time. This is exactly what this drama is all about. The storyline is very much realistic. Each episode is very much well plotted. I love how the writer and director inserts small scenes of going-back-to-the-past memories in between the scenes, so that the viewers will know little by little about what happened in the past that made Yeo Reum and Tae Ha that way. Although, i love the second lead, im still all for Yeo Reum and Tae Ha. As i watched each episode about them, i can feel that Tae Ha has so much love for Yeo Reum and vice versa. I can very well see love in Tae Ha's eyes whenever he stares at Yeo Reum. And i love that kind of fluttering feeling whenever i watch dramas like this. That's why this has become one of the sweetest love story for me.
Highly recommended!

First off, i'm a big fan of hospital dramas. I like the thrill of watching doctors save patients lives. But not all medical drama are as exciting and thrilling as this one. The comedy, tear-jerker episodes, and romance are all well blended together. Watching O.R. episodes made me sit at the edge of my chair. All characters were very well portrayed by the actors especially Kim Sa Bu. His kind and compassionate heart not only goes out to his patients but also to all his staff as well, it made me fall in love with the drama. Each episode contains different stories of patients and hospital staff, and it will make you cry a river. I also like how they unfold the conflicts and revelations of characters, i think its very unique.
Overall, i think this is one of the best medical drama. I would highly recommend it.

First of all, i finished this drama months ago,but didnt have the opportunity to write a review right away. I decided to write one now coz even if months have passed, this drama still lingers on me. Ji Sung is one of my personal favorite korean actor. I saw about 90% of his dramas and all of them are on the list of my favorite drama of all time. Whatever character he plays, he can surely give it justice. He's one of the best there is in korean drama. And whoever partners with him will surely shine as well.
From the first episode of the drama until the very end, it got me really hooked. The storyline was so good that i find it rather surprising that i don't really mind so much about the love story between the two characters. But of course, they're chemistry is to die for. I love how the writer balanced the thrill of medical, love and personal issues in this drama. You'll be surprised of the twist and turns in every episode. It was very much well written.
The OST was also very romantic in the ears. It makes you want to watch it again when you hear the OST.
Truly, Ji Sung never disappoints. Highly recommended.

I was so excited for this drama because of park min young and seo kang joon, they're one of the best in kdrama world. And i was not disappointed at all. Indeed, they have a very good chemistry. For some, they might find this drama a bit boring, maybe because of the setting, which took place in one of the far province of south korea. The background music were mostly very mellow and because most of the scenes were inside a bookstore and it revolves mostly on the people who loves to read books and poems that is why some may find it uninteresting. But for me, that's exactly what the drama should be. Mellow, simple, unpredictable. The dramatic pace of the drama is just about in its right timing. I love how the writer unfolded the love that has been hidden for years and the secret concealed on the expressionless face. The drama taught us a few lessons in life. Forgiveness, sacrifices you can give for a loved-one, second chances and patience. It all pays off in the end. The other characters on the drama were all great as well, they were the balance of the very serious well-mannered character of seo kang joon. Thank you for giving the audiences another good drama, KOREA.
