I have no words...I was disappointed at how bad the acting is, even tho I'm normally a big fan of First and Khao.…
Could have been me writing this. I agree with every word. I'm more invested in Fadal's relationship with his brother Bison than in any of those love stories. He is the only relatable character, all the others feel fake. Khao's acting was good, but First didn't impress me at all. Dunk ... I have no word. I was speechless several times. I never watched him in any other series, but this was really bad. Also, let's all be honest, we love a well written slow paced love story, don't we? This was too fast.
Ive just read some comments, but..my problem isnt the acting (somehow i just got used to mediocre acting in thai…
After I watched the first trailer, I said this is basically Only Friends 2.0 and both First and Khaotung's roles are similar to Ray and Sand. I think it's not the best idea to put those two in those raunchy roles over and over again. This can get boring fast. Still, they somehow save it, because of their great acting skills. I can't be mad at First and Khoatung. Hopefully this series has more to offer. I also found the first episode a bit underwhelming. You don't really want to know what happens next.
Hear me out... I swear Dunk can act...but...like... something happens when he's opposite Joong...like...does he…
The same happened with Book and Force in Only Friends. When they acted together, their acting was bad, the scenes stiff and cringy. But every scene Book had with his friends, and the scenes Force had with others were well acted. Made me scratch my head back then. I have heard they do well in Perfect 10 Liners, though. So there is hope for Dunk and Joong too, lol.
The best thing about the 1st episode was Fadel, and I'm not a Joong fan at all. The character is good, reasonable at least. Bison as a killer is not believable, but with this kind of brother, you can see, how he can be so carefree, since Fadel is looking after him. He seems smart, not driven by hormones, cool, composed, in charge. I like the brothers chemistry a lot, so much that I wonder if those two wouldn't do great as a BL couple. First can have Dunk. I love First, and I watch every of his series, but the Kant character doesn't appeal to me. His style is also horrible. He looks like a woman and an old man at the same time. His personality gives me nothing. Unless First does his magic and gives us his beautiful emotional performance, I fear I can't fall in love with this character.
Those two boys are acting geniuses, because how else it is possible to deliver those repetitive and boring dialogues with so much tension and emotion. They go around in circles since ep1, but they still manage to create so much feeling EVERY SINGLE TIME. "Are you really gonna leave me?" I swear I expected Saint jumping on a horse, riding into battle and never returning. That's how dramatic it was.
This is based on a German novel, which was published somewhere in 2010.... has nothing to do with Beyond Evil.…
German novel? Those politics, congresswomen involved, corrupt police etc. isn't typical for German crime/thriller. I must know since I am German. if it's indeed true, they made a lot of changes to fit the Korean police and political system.
Copycat of Beyond Evil. The only good thing was the cop working together with the convict. I liked their relationship. The rest was disappointing. All the characters were crazy and not likable. Beyond Evil did a much better job with similar crazy characters I couldn't hate. Not even the villains. This series was just depressing, though. Betrayal everywhere. And how they handled certain things irritated me a lot, like the two rapist for example, or the guy who hid the dead body. This is next level crazy, but it didn't have the impact I expected. Made me uncomfortable.
Khao's acting was good, but First didn't impress me at all.
Dunk ... I have no word. I was speechless several times. I never watched him in any other series, but this was really bad.

You had a bad day?
Don't hate the show, don't love it, but I enjoy reading the comments
had me rolling on the floor

I watched up to episode 6. Things just happen. Every damn character is damn shallow.
Ep 1: Clubbing, talk about d*ck size, more clubbing. No depths. No real emotions. The main character is like an empty sheet of paper. Nothing is written there.
Ep 2: Abortion. They made it look like a fun experience. Very mature. Then we see the girl looking sad for two seconds, so we know it was hard for her. Shallow. Immature. Having sex 3 times a week with different guys? Too mature to use a condom every damn time?
I could go on and on. Those people are lost in life. Such a series appeals to very young folks, who aren't emotionally mature at all and can see themselves in them. Their longing for intimacy is not even tragic, it makes me almost laugh, since they have no personality, nothing to give.
Life is about many things. Those people don't get that. They are running around looking for love, because they are dead inside.
I would normally say, I'm too old for watching those lost children being dramatic. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have enjoyed this even in my 20s.
Oh, the HIV thing. The last nail in the coffin. Couldn't be more cliché. And the stupid face he makes. Enough for me.
