Exactly. It had gotten so bad with Taiwan that when I heard this was from Taiwan I actually just expected it to…
Thailand is putting out really good series, though. In the last year My School President, Moonlight Chicken, Be My Favorite, Only Friends, Last Twilight. All very unique series with some great acting and overall good writing.
You must be new at Taiwanese BL. This is how they drop it. And those usually gets very high ratings except for…
Dropping an episode once a week is not a problem. I think this Netflix-binge-watch-culture is ruining lots of fun and excitement. In this case, though, I agree with you. They should release at least two episodes a week like they did with shows like Trapped. Unknown episodes are only 27 minutes long, 7 of them are intro and outro. You really feel like you have watched NOTHING. With two episodes a week, one after another, this would be much more enjoyable.
I wasn't 100% sold on this after seeing two episodes, because I didn't like the looks and the attitude of the actor who played the younger brother. I thought his younger version was a better actor and more likeable. Also, his character seemed a bit questionable from watching the trailer. But his performance and the writing in Ep 3 changed my mind about him completely.
I like how they portray the characters and their family bonds, and how they all care about each other. Even the trauma because of the abusive mother is very well done.
Ep 3 took me by surprise. Watching the long trailer, I got the impression the younger brother is the obsessive and more dominant type. Maybe he will be later, but in this episode he was cute and innocent. I could feel how much he likes his older brother without being creepy. This will be good, if they keep this up.
This is the kind of production quality I expected from Kiseki Dear To Me after seeing their first concept trailer and MVs with another cast. Similar vibes. I'm impressed, really.
Honestly, this is such a let-down. Unless you're madly in love with this story, which I don't get in the first place, because those two characters have no personality, this is boring, slow, cringy, it lacks passion, humor, excitement, love. It's dull, bland, and overall unappealing on every possible level. Do we really need to see this story again? We have seen it in comic form, as a series, now it got animated, a series again! I have no idea how TayNew made it through this, and I refuse to believe, they had fun and felt challenged as an artist while filming it. They just showed up to do their job, which means promoting their TayNew brand and giving fans some crumbs every half decade, so nobody forgets about them. Even that kiss, I have seen people talk about it, was just horrible to watch since New was leaning in so awkwardly. That Achi character is impossible to like, not that perfect and love struck Karan is any better. Those characters don't feel real at all. This may work as an old-school black-white Japanese BL manga, but not as a Thai series.
8.1 sounds about right. There are some sweet scenes but overall it's forgettable. It started out alright and it…
Honestly, people must be really thirsty for BL to enjoy this series. Cringy, stupid, boring, slow, no passion, no depth. You said it: Forgettable. Well, not really. It's honestly so bad, that I won't forget it.
Even as a Polca, I have to admit. Karan and Achi's character are cringe, it feels awkward. Not going to be the…
Have you seen the trailer for Peaceful Property? New isn't a very good actor. Him playing a more dominant and cheeky guy like he is in real life is way better than him playing such a naive and soft character. I'm looking forward to the new series, even though it's not confirmed BL.
I don't need a BL, but what I need: THEM CHANGING UP THOSE F*CKING STEREOTYPICAL ROLES! I was waiting for something like this since forever. Make New more dominant, and Tay more vulnerable. THANK YOU!
People have different preferences...just because you don't like this....doesn't mean the same for others...btw...many…
People have different preferences. Wow ... didn't know that. I thought maybe people would tell me that the guys have great chemistry later on, that there is a plot twist etc. There are many shows that get better with time. So no reason to be bitchy and telling me the obvious.
And then we can watch our 20 minutes episode and drool over the 5 minutes of cute scenes.
They talk about NC scenes, but I'm not sure if they are joking or not

I was so excited about this series.
