its shocking to see how some ppl call themselves "supporters" of ohm and then proceed to attack him upon hearing…
Okay guys, now I scrolled through twitter for an hour. I had nothing better to do. So ... this is much bigger than I thought. The thing blew up. Don't know if they can sweep it under the carpet at this point. The issue is not his girlfriend, they are attacking his integrity and personality. Whatever Ohm does now, it's wrong. They even accuse him of using Nanon as a shield. Phew ... here it goes!
With Toey in Make It Right? The same crap. That's why I don't know if this is real or fabricated. Toey had a girlfriend, and fans were attacking the girl. Then Toey defended her apparantly - if that was even true.
Perhaps now some strange online post will appear where Ohm tells the fans they should know their place. Then hell will break loose. It's fishy.
Don't want to talk too much about the drama, but Ohm is really unlucky. When he gets shipped with someone hard, drama always follows. Back then with Toey, and now with Nanon. Really unlucky. Everything was going so well.
Whatever. Hopefully Ep 10 will be good, and we will forget about everything else. I'm still wishing for a good love making scene in the next three episodes, hehe.
Honestly, I'm not surprised about the drama. But I didn't expect it to happen so soon. It seems the whole issue is even trending on twitter. The series blew up only around 5 or 6 weeks ago ...
๐๐ Am sorry but the BL world is an enigma to me... Like..???. Let me try to see if I got this right. BL…
Well, you summed it up pretty nicely. That's how it is.
And it gets better: I once was a Gay Romance author myself, and those women were saying they support the gay community. I even participated in writing a short story for a charitable purpose. But those same women were then grossed out by lesbian love stories. I think that tells you a lot about the "fetish" aspect of the whole thing. I remember people discussed it before, why girls love isn't so popular. Most likely the audience is too small, because there are no hetero women drooling over the girls. Everyone is cheering for Ink and Pa, but be sure, if those two were the only couple, this series wouldn't get over 1M views in a day.
Talking about OhmNanon or the BL genre in general: They should concentrate more on the story, the plot, the acting, the film-making. But it's obvious they try hard to sell the "couple". After Ep 5 Bad Buddy blew up. Why not keep it low? Why milk it so much? Give us a good BL with a good story and good kisses. Everyone would be happy. But BL is like K-Pop, which is mostly about shipping hot and cute boys, and not about the music. I don't blame the actors. GMMTV is responsible for this. Since 2gether they really aren't holding back with the advertisment. That's the game.
Was there some controversy today? I see ppl here alluding to something but I donโt know exactly what is it.…
I don't know Ohm enough, or should I say I don't follow him to be able to form an opinion about this. But if it's a fabricated rumour ... wow! Savage! If it's not ... hm. He should have said he has a girlfriend. There are actors like Max&Tul that nobody ships, but fans love them for many years; or when Tay&New became a thing very early New had a girlfriend. It's just better to be honest. Sam had a girlfriend when We Best Love aired, and the series got very successful nonetheless. Ohm and Nanon are playing a strange game. They don't want to be shipped, and at the same time they are selling their "couple" like there is no tomorrow. It's all a money thing at the end of the day. And all that advertisement isn't helping either. This is not my first GMMTV series, but I sure have never seen so much PPL.
People are really stupid, Ohm maybe have a gf but he was never playing with Nanon, not really, he was reserved,…
Something about those two is not clicking right with me. They seemed to be afraid to get shipped too much, constantly friend-zoning each other, than later on, after the success we get that sappy love confession from Ohm on that podcast which wasn't needed. What are they even trying to do? They provide fan-service, at the same time they don't. They have difficulties finding their rhythm. Don't know about that girlfriend rumor, but who cares? Ohm and Nanon aren't a thing anyways. When the series started people were questioning Nanon since he has no BL experience, it turns out he is the one who has no boundaries, kissing and skinship is no issue for him. Don't know about the BL veteran Ohm anymore. I so hope we get a scripted (!!) kiss at the end of the series. He is doing great in those, not so much in the improvised ones. I'm a bit tired of him looking surprised. Not to mention that he looks angry when he is suprised. They in general should have a stricter script and a tighter plot. Since Ep 7 we get pointless fluff and advertisment that feels like fillers.
Honestly, it's a shame they aren't a couple in real life. I have the feeling Ohm goes for the b*tchy girls. Yeah, sue me, haha! For the sexy and bitchy ones that make his life miserable. Nanon on the other hand will find a cute girl, and he will have some cute babies with cute dimples. So at least for him we may get a happy end.
Just a thought I suddenly had. I watched anonther BL couple, and we all know how some of those guys have some issue with kissing and skinship, and need some time to adjust. In the worst case you can feel they are rather grossed out by the whole thing. But Ohm and Nanon ... that kiss in Ep 5 ... they are only around 21 and it was Nanon's first BL role. I have seen Ohm doing a supposedly hot kissing scene with a woman, and I wasn't feeling it at all. He wasn't either, I guess, haha! But that kiss with Nanon in Ep 5 ...! Boy or girl - that was really on another level. They were both so much into character, and just delivered. That kiss got a lot of well deserved recognition, but yeah ... just suddenly thought about how well they did it compared to many other actors out there.
I know, right!? honestly i am surprised by Off's acting , i was always on the fence with his previous series,…
The Sean character seems rather complex and I get the feeling he is a good guy. In Theory of Love the Khai character was so unappealing. I dropped the series because he was too annoying ...
It is fascinating apparently to be one of the few people on MDL who think this series is terrible, especially…
When it comes to the acting, Billkin and PP can go home. I only remember a few faces Billkin showed us throughout the whole series. The half-dazed face we got 70% of the time, the relieved face, the sad face, and that damn crying face. All the crying. PP was even worse. I would add the half-asleep face for him. Honestly, I have no idea why people say this acting was any good. Not to mention that those characters came across so shallow. After watching them hours and hours and hours I have no idea who they are, and why I should care. That said, the cinematography was great. How the story was told, was great. It draws you in. But for me personally the most important thing: It was gay. You cannot find a series that it's more gay than this. Bad Buddy on the other hand seems to be more the kind of BL where straight guys are playing cute and kiss each other. I honestly feel this is a completely different genre. I do like the silly rom-com style, and the first 5 episodes were very entertaining, well acted, funny, romantic, tense. Since then it's a bit lacking. The exagerated product placement and the pointless fluff brings it down. But still better than Bilkin's endless crying. Again, I feel like it's a different genre, a different style, a different concept.
About Ohm's personal life: I didn't really look into it that much, but the drama seems fabricated. Before the…
About TayNew? The old story as far as I know. Apparantly New had a girlfriend, and fans were attacking his girlfriend, and he then was ugly to the fans. Exact same story with Toey and Ohm back then when Make It Right aired. Nice coincidence, isn't it? In TayNew case it was well known that he had a girlfriend, then he broke up, then he had a new one I think. It was no big deal. So suddenly it was in issue? Why?!? And him attacking his fans because of that ... like he would do that! The whole thing was so fishy.
Now people are saying Ohm has a girlfriend, because some girl was posing for pictures in the same places as him with similar clothing. Yeah. Sure.

I think the problem is more that those stories are fake. If they have girlfriends, and people are mad, because they ship those guys, yes, that's not good. But I get the feeling those stories are lies. It's like the actors get attacked and someone purposedly starts drama.
That TayNew drama back then made no sense. I was baffled how stupid it was.
