The role of SYR here as Jian Dan is a challenging one. She came from a small village, looked down by some of her classmates as so naive; yet she has the strength to do so many things. She can swim very fast, climb a rock (becoming the president of the Rock Climbing Club), she excelled in her Math class, and you're right, she can cook well, capturing the heart of Han Yan Sheng. Indeed, Jian Dan can do many things, not relying on those male leads. She is a lady of courage and strength; yet she is also compassionate and kind.

Yes, I read also that she rejected so many scripts, since the characters that she will be portraying there are similar; short, cute, funny, the height difference, etc. . . Hence, her dramas are few and far between . I believe that as an actress she understood very well that it is better to perform with a quality script, than being in so many shows with poor script.
