they're both apart of the blue string universe, the webtoons
Thank you for sharing this! I didn't know these stories were all connected through the Blue String Universe and wasn't familiar of it before watching "Teach You A Lesson".
It sounds very interesting, especially seeing the characters from different webtoons come together. I'll definitely look into them.
Again, thank you. Best regards.

What is the connection with "Study Group"? It is tagged as Korean shared universe on this MDL page.
This is such a good question, worthy of exploring, too.

Title Teach You a Lesson Spoiler
I really enjoyed this. Quite the satisfying plot progression. I loved the main character. The man had every reason…
Wow! Such an excellent insight!
My legal-minded friend and I were reading your notes here.
And we're impressed with your perspective!

We really appreciate your balanced and thoughtful review. You spot it on!
We especially like your insight that Inspector Hwa-Jin transformed his grief into protecting others instead of seeking personal revenge.
"He's fueled by vengeance, but he directs that into helping people." are insightful words which makes us read your comments for several times.

When you wrote: "he always dressed in black to indicate his grief" makes me and my legal- minded friend looked at you as someone paying close attention to the character rather than only the action scenes.

You don't simply ask:
"Was this a good drama?"
You ask:
"What does this drama teach us about people?"

As a former teacher, I also believe the drama's greatest strength is how it encourages us to reflect on real issues affecting schools and society. While I understand your concern about Teacher Ga-Yun's approach, I viewed her as a teacher whose compassion sometimes outweighed her professional judgment. That, for me, made her story all the more heartbreaking and memorable.

Thank you for your sensible lines. Best regards.

Idk but while watching it I just couldn’t ignore some thoughts...Even though its just fiction, you just can't…
Hello.
I really appreciate your thoughtful insight here. You stated it so well.
It seems that this drama made you stop and reflect beyond the exciting scenes.

* As we shared the same sentiments, what I like most about your comment is that you looked beyond the action and reflected on whether problems like bullying, abuse, and corruption can truly be solved in the long term.
* As a former teacher, I also believe these issues cannot be resolved by one team alone.
"It truly takes a whole village to raise a child"—parents, teachers, school leaders, communities, and the justice system all have important roles to play. For me, the drama is less about ERPB solving every problem and more about reminding us that positive change begins when people choose not to ignore injustice. Even small actions can inspire hope and encourage others to do the same.

"And one of the greatest strengths of this drama—it not only entertains us, but also encourages us to reflect on what each of us can do, in our own way, to help build a better society."

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am deeply impressed with your truthful reasoning here.
As a former College Teacher for engineering students, I found Episode 5 one of the most heartbreaking because it reminds us that constant pressure and micromanagement can deeply affect a person's mental well-being.
Although the story focused on a teacher, burdened with overbearing parents, I think its message applies to many workplaces as well. The deeper issue is psychological pressure, constant surveillance, and the loss of one's peace of mind.
Anyway. I'm glad that difficult chapter in your life has passed, and I hope you've found a healthier and more peaceful working environment now.
Take care. Regards.

Title Teach You a Lesson Spoiler
This was like Taxi Driver + Study Group + Juvenile Justice + Undercover High School + High School Return of a…
Wow! Beautifully stated! Such stronger points!

As a former College Teacher, I also found the drama as deeply thought-provoking.
Sadly, bullying and school violence are not unique to Korea—they are challenges faced by many countries around the world.
* The recent tragic school shooting in the Philippines on last June 22, 2026, where young students lost their lives, reminds us that no society is completely immune.
* More than anything, this drama reminds us that schools should be places of learning, respect, and safety, and that it takes parents, teachers, students, and the whole community working together to make that possible.
* That is why this drama is so engaging as it resonates with so many teachers, parents, and students—it encourages all of us to reflect on our shared responsibility.

Title Teach You a Lesson Spoiler
I need to post it because i feel like I'm the only one. The show is not bad but... the ending. Is it only my that…
Hello.

I am a former College Teacher for the Engineering students.
When I am still teaching, our Educational Philospohy is based on these values:
- If a student is bad, help them become good;
- if they are good, help them become better;
- and if they are better, help them become the best.

I think Teacher Ga-Yun was written as a teacher who believed every student deserved another chance. She is a teacher who refuses to give up on a struggling student.

"No child is born inherently evil", and many teachers try to help struggling students become better people. While her approach may not have been perfect, I believe her compassion was the point of the character, and that is why her loss was so tragic and heartbreaking.

It will surpass The Glory for sure.
Beautifully stated! Thank you.

Like you, I am I hoping that there will be a Season Two for this captivating drama.

I am a former College Teacher for the Engineering students.
These are what I gathered on my research on it,.
The "prospects for a second season of "Teach You A Lesson", are extraordinarily bright, driven by both the director's enthusiasm and the show's massive global success.

The current landscape regarding "Season 2" breakdown highlights several key factors:
** 1. The Director is Eager to Return
Director Hong Jong-chan has spoken very openly about wanting to continue the series. In a June interview, he stated that the show’s explosive global success still feels "unreal". He explicitly promised: "If it becomes even more successful, I’ll come back with Season 2". Crucially, he noted that the school stage still has "so many stories left to tell", meaning the creative team is highly motivated.

** 2. Abundant Source Material Remains. The 10-episode first season was adapted from the popular Naver webtoon titled Get Schooled. The first season only scratched the surface of the webtoon's overarching storyline. Industry insiders note that there is a massive amount of unadapted material ready to be written, which would allow Season 2 to expand beyond individual classrooms and tackle deeper, syndicate-level corruption within the broader public education system.

** 3. The Netflix Renewal Status. While social media is currently buzzing with fan rumors claiming an official confirmation, Netflix has not yet made a formal, public renewal announcement. However, because the show has dominated the global No. 1 spot for Non-English television and even sparked real-world political debates in South Korea about establishing actual teacher-protection bureaus, a greenlight from Netflix is widely anticipated by entertainment analysts before the end of the current business quarter.

--- The story of the First Season wrapped up Hwa-jin's deeply personal quest for justice regarding his fiancée.
--- A Second Season would naturally pivot into the broader, procedural mission of the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB), sending Hwa-jin, Im Han-rim, and the team undercover into entirely new schools to dismantle corrupt networks and protect vulnerable teachers.

Title Teach You a Lesson Spoiler
Now that it's become popular I'm seeing more and more people calling it overrated or saying it doesn't deserve…
You stated so well the obvious facts!

However, ratings are always subjective, and not everyone will connect with the same drama.

** What matters most is whether a series resonates with its audience. The strong response from many viewers worldwide on this captivating drama, especially from teachers, parents, and students, shows that this drama has touched people in a meaningful way.

** And the fact that so many people are discussing this drama and connecting with its message shows why it has earned such strong support.

Let me share with you this data:
Current Netflix Performance (as of June 24–25, 2026)
*** The drama, "Teach You A Lesson" has remained No. 1 on Netflix's Global Non-English TV Chart for three consecutive weeks since its June 5 release.

China needs to start paying attention to quality rather than quantity … the micro dramas used to be good now…
Yes, you stated it so well! Obvious facts! Repetitive storyline, played with different actors/actresses. I tend to memorize now their dialogues in the drama.
