Wow! I truly understand why you love K-dramas! The characters in K-dramas are interesting and relatable. Its cinematography are equally beautiful and its storyline creates a strong emotional connection with the viewers that most become engaged on it. * Thank you so much for your generous words. I really appreciate it! Happy New Year and All the Best for 2024! Cheers!

Hello. I read your review and it stated very well about this engaging drama. It is a great review. It is concise but it tells everything beautifully about the show and its OSTs! Thank you so much. You're so appreciative! Indeed, as in your writings: "this show is the love story of the century!!!!!!"
I have found your participation and giving encouragement to people who wrote their genuine opinion on the story…
@MsDarkqueen: You're always one of my inspiration to write here at MDL.I have learned many things from reading your review on this lovable drama. Thank you so much for being so appreciative and so amiable here. I really loved this drama, and even spend time rewatching it, instead of watching other new dramas. As one of my American mentor had written me: "Song Yiren is always a joy to watch, when she smiles, she lights up a 50-mile radius!". To be honest, as our hands are full of a busy schedule, I really don't want to complicate my busy life, both at home and at work by knowing so many C-actors / actresses; or watching their many dramas. As my associates in the Legal Industry and I had concur, we're just following a C-actress named Ireine Song/Song YIren and the development of her career, considering that she was often bullied due to her physical look. ** Anyway, I am grateful for your beautiful messages here. Thank you so much. All the Best for 2024! Stay being so Good and Happier! ๐๐๐๐
As one who is new to K-dramas: Words are not enough to write here on the admiration that I have for this engaging drama which seems to traverse from its starting date of November 24, 2023 โ and ends on January 6, 2024 - Male and female leads in perfect chemistry and in perfect harmony - Supporting casts and crews doing their excellent roles - Beautiful storyline ** This is My First Korean Drama in its Fantasy Genre!
Wow! Cho Na, you're so good and so impressive here! This is such a comprehensive article on the Top 2023 Dramas on MDL . . I can't imagine the time you've spend writing all this details. Congratulations for writing such interesting and very informative article! As for me, being new to both C-dramas and K-dramas, I've watched only 3 shows for 2023; that is "The Inextricable Destiny" of China and 2 from Korea, "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse" and the "Story of Park's Marriage Contract". My overwhelming work schedule can allow me a little time to do so. My sincere hats off to you! ๐๐
Ep 11: How come Mom doesn't know about Sa Wol? Don't tell me her memory is erased, lol.
What a coincidence! Wow! I am watching it, dear Cho Na; I was curious and decided to watch it - an interesting drama to follow . . I am beginning to love the K-dramas now . . Thank you.
Cool, thanks for the reply. I get the good for actors bit also it helps the producers and writers. It also, for…
@Kannadin, @Colum H Hello, I keep reading your comments here. I learned so many things from your insights on K-dramas. Thank you so much
I am fairly new on these K-dramas, having started on March 2023. I was influenced by my good friend, an American Teacher in Texas who told me to try watching K-dramas; as I've complained to her before that I find that those ancient C-dramas has longer episodes. I could only spend time to those shows with shorter episodes. I worked in a Legal Industry and time is of an essence for us. So far, I've watched about 5 K-dramas including this "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" of which I am currently watching and of which is my last K-drama for this year. I came to watch a drama to be entertained and to learn something on one's country's culture and tradition. I prefer the ancient or costume and period dramas over the modern one. (At MDL, I saw one C-drama, a modern rom-com where comments are more than 12K and people writing there are arguing with each other and sometimes insulting those who don't like such drama.) I liked to be a fangirling, but I am old enough not to be. Remembering those actor's and actresses' names are more than enough for me. I have only VIKI where I can watch those C or K-dramas. And I am not aware of any ratings on any drama, except on this MDL and that of VIKI, for which I don't mind; although I understand that such high ratings will give a good chance for those actors and actresses in their acting profession. (Sometimes, I liked when I know little about the actors and actresses on such a drama, for it will give me some peace of mind, of not rooting for them very well and comparing them with other celebrities. As one associate in the Legal Industry told me jokingly but with good sense: "why spend too much watching a drama when our own personal lives is already a big drama, even much more complicated") As for me. watching a drama is that one which gives us some relaxation, away from the stresses of everyday life, to enjoy things without being too critical and too judgmental. For after all, most dramas are fictions, they are written on the imaginary level. (As in my elderly days, I just can't imagine of those fanatics fighting each other for their favorite actors and actresses . . And so in the study of Arts and Literature: "To watch a drama and to enjoy it is to understand the difference between analyzing it and appreciating it".
I am very grateful to learn something new from you. Thank you so much. Merci beaucoup. Salutations.
You're expecting MDL to be unbiased. MDL is often highlighting fans favorite K-drama, not actual reality. My Demon…
You eloquently stated it well! Logically true! They are more interested on the "eye candy" element rather than the actors who truly acted well the characters on the drama.
The ratings of Park's Marriage Contract dropped due to the recent scandal??
As I am new in K-dramas, I think it was not. As per other article, there are other K-dramas who are on the top ratings, but drop this week. As I searched around the internet, that so-called scandal is not talked about. I tend to focus on its storyline and its character.
Oh nice... my suggestion, don't pay too much attention to ratings, reviews and comments here. Just watch to your…
Wow! Thank you so much for your suggestions here. I appreciate it and I loved reading your lines. - I am not into the reviews, comments, and ratings of any drama. I came to watch a drama to be entertained, for relaxation, to be away from the stresses of the humdrum of life, and to know more about the culture of other people. - So far, I've watched only 2 Chinese dramas this year, and "The Inextricable Destiny" is my last C-drama for 2023. I liked this show as its storyline captured fully our emotions and we became engaged in it. If I remember correctly, I am about 1 year in K-dramas and I watched about 5 dramas so far. I don't know many K-actors and actresses and my knowledge of the Korean Entertainment Industry is very limited. I watched dramas to be entertained and for storytelling, among other reasons. What I know for now is I am always looking forward to the week-end to watch "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract', for I like its storyline. This will be my last K-drama for this year of 2023.
