Of course, I still like to visit the site here and look on those who can write an objective and sensible lines towards this drama.
As I am quite fairly new to C-dramas; this is my last C-drama for 2023 and I fully treasured its storyline and all the casts and crew on it.
And this is the very first MDL Forum that I've spend some time writing my thoughts here.
I worked in a Legal Industry and oftentimes I looked on those who have an objective mind when they are writing their analysis on a drama that they are watching. And you are one of those people.
** While some people are highly critical of this drama, by cutting out its episodes and pointing its faults; there are still people who came to this drama and be engaged on it.
** Drama is that one which gives us some relaxation, away from the stresses of everyday life, to enjoy things without being too critical and too judgmental. For after all, most dramas are fictions, they are written on the imaginary level.
As in the study of Arts and Literature:
"To watch a drama and to enjoy it is to understand the difference between analyzing it and appreciating it".

It is straightforward and explained well: "The story is exactly about a female lead who wants a strong husband, but ends up realizing that there are more important qualities than strength. She likes him the way he is, very pure and kind. So it's as if out of prejudice she rejected him at first, but later regretted it." I am about less than 1 year in Korean dramas and I don't too much of K-actors and actresses. This drama "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" caught my attention while browsing the many articles of MDL. I decided to watch it and since then I always look forward for the weekend to come - for its engaging episodes.

I am relatively new to K-dramas. I've discovered this "The Fiery Priest" in viki.com, influenced by this article here . . . Now, I am a big admirer of Kim Nam Gil, he is really the perfect actor as a fiery priest for this engaging drama; he is the Character aptly fitted . . Let us do the Season 2.

As I am very new to K-dramas, I felt so lucky to discover about this "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract". I am very much engaged to its storyline and its Male and Female Lead and the whole casts. This drama fully captivated my interest. Thank you so much.

Yes, you have a good points here . .

When a drama become popular, it will be subjected to so many opinions and most of the time opinions are on subjective level, especially if it involves a popular actors/actresses.
And when a subjective opinions arises on a certain drama, there will be "preconceived notions and even pre-judgmental biases of what this drama is all about."
Hence, this notions and biases will drown the actual facts of a story or a show.

*** Browsing quicky some of the 9K plus comments here, one will be lost on the real concept of this drama, especially if a person who like me, is quite new to a rom-com or to modern Chinese drama. When I first came here, I felt quite lost, with thousands of comments to read . . I felt I am surrounded by so many viewers who have watched everything.
*** With so many opinions going on, there arises a feeling of too much expectation from this drama. Hence, we dissected the episodes one by one, pointing out all the details; the physical looks of the actors and actresses, the hairstyles, the dressing codes, the shoes, etc, etc . . or even pointing out the color of the sky . .

***And now, if we only pause and reflect, we might ask ourselves: Why do we watch Drama in the first place?
Isn't it that we came to watch a drama to be entertained? To learn something or to understand the culture of other people.

Thank you for your suggestion. I read that this drama is of 36 episodes.
I worked in a very busy Legal Industry and I cannot afford to spend too much time watching a longer episodes.
I am just browsing around MDL and see how people discussed the merits / demerits of a drama . .

An interesting comment! And may I know why this drama is an excellent study on Psychology? Considering that Psychology is a scientific study of the way the human mind works and how it influences behaviour.
(I am quite new to C-dramas; I have not seen even Ep 1 of this drama. I only knew Dylan Wang, as for the rest of the casts, I don't know about them.)

- I've studied Arts, Literature and Humanities before, we have a strong American mentor who always reminded us: "to appreciate a story, not its eye candy element." . . . that we always have an objective mind when measuring a drama . .
And considering that I am working for the International Lawyers, my mind is trained to be on the objective, rational side . .
(For we cannot be judges and jurors on anything that is fictional)

** For the meantime, I'd like to listen to the songs of my fav Japanese boy band, the "Snow Man (Ren Meguro was a member); at least while listening to their beautiful music, I can still do other things . .

Interesting to know. Thank you. I have not seen it. In our work industry, the only drama we've watched about Dylan Wang is Ever Night, Season 2. And this drama was even nominated at the 2020 - 15th Seoul International Drama Award, where Korean drama enthusiasts spoke highly of its nomination.

I am quite new to Chinese dramas, about 3 years ago and I have watched only a few. The very first Japanese drama that I've seen fully is this

I loved re-watching this drama, as it let me remember me when I was a College Teacher before with the Engineering Students . . . I have a happy memories with my almost all-male students . .
Now, I am working in a Legal Industry, with the International Lawyers and life has been overwhelming busy that I cannot afford anymore to watch more dramas.
For this 2023, I was able to watch only 4 dramas . .

Anyway, my associates and I knew only very few Chinese actors or actresses and their dramas. And as you wrote, we came to watch a drama to be entertained and not to dissect it one by one, exploring its details and finding faults on it . .
Since, we worked in a Legal Industry, to be highly critical of any drama is not in line of our area of our mind and in work; we have not studied Film Production nor study any Scriptwriting . .
Hence, we cannot be Judges and Jurors on anything that is Fiction.
