I know what you mean. I was rewatching my favorite scenes multiple times. So much that I even ended up compiling Bai Jue & Shanggu’s moments together and made an OST FMV just to help fill the void. 😂

Bai Jue and Shanggu has a beautiful love story, so I’ve compiled their scenes and made a 37 mins OST FMV. This is my first time making a video, so please bear with me about the poor transitions between the scenes. Let me know what you guys think and if there should be any changes to it.

I love how attached Shanggu was to Bai Jue when she laid her head on his shoulders in E07. She grabbed his arm and wasn’t letting go. And he was happy that she was behaving this way. 😂 So cute.

You can’t help but also fall in love watching these two fall in love 😍. The ways she was smiling as he was teaching her. 😂

You can see how infatuated is she was with him. I don’t blame her 😂

Yes the scene was too sweet so I had to include it in my OST MV. I’ve watched his swordsmanship too many times today. 😂

Just rewatching the drama again. Bai Jue’s swordsmanship is top notch. He looks very handsome in E2 while showing Shanggu. I can see why her eyes lit up. 😂

I love the drama so much that compiled most of the scenes of Bai Jue/Qingmu & Shanggu/Houchi and made an OST MV of approximately 37 mins in 1080p. I can watch the video on my phone during break at work tomorrow. 😁 I don’t know how many times I’ve watched it today. 🤣

It’s been an emotional roller coaster with this drama. 😂 But I love the drama.

In E21, Tianqi and Zhihan explained that Bai Jue spared them the last God’s breath so that they can survive. They became weaker, but can start afresh. So does this mean that these two never died, but just got weaker? Or did they reborn with just weaker powers?

I feel like he was more afraid of Shanggu finding out about his plans than anything else. More of Shanggu thinking how can there be two Bai Jue?

Shanggu: I haven’t hated you for a lifetime yet.
Shanggu: I haven’t heard you say you love me.
Shanggu: I haven’t repaid you for how you helped me for lives.

Bai Jue: In this life, you can hate me or complain about me, as long as you can live and be safe…

Shanggu: How can you leave me like this?

Bai Jue: This is the only thing I can do for you.

Shanggu: Why did you do it all?
Shanggu: Why did you have the heart to leave me alone in this world?

Their dialogue alone can bring you to tears. Not to mention how you can feel their beautiful, but tragic, love story.

E49 dialogue between Shanggu and Bai Jue:

I thought the wedding scene in E41 was heartbreaking enough with all the emotions that scene brought now: anger, disgust, pain, hurt.

Then the father-son bonding scene in E48 was a bit more emotional. Especially when Yuanqi called Bai Jue “Father” a few times.

But the scene in E49 when Shanggu went to Bai Jue’s sacrificial location topped it all in terms of painful emotions. Zhou Dongyu’s performance was stellar. The pain, anguish, and tears she brought out (not just onscreen but also from the audience). I have watched this scene so many times, and it brings me to tears EVERY time. The acting, their conversation with each other despite not being there physically, and music lyrics just bring a lump in my throat every time. It’s like something twisted my heart because that scene was so painful and heartbreaking, but beautiful. All within 3 minutes; amazing.

😂 He’s very good looking in costume dramas. I loved his midnight blue hair in The Legends the most, then ALP.
