Cao Yun is played by the actor called Cheng Cheng? I don’t think Cao Yun has been introduced yet. I just finished…
He's an underling of another character with a personal grudge against the Wei and Chu family(Cao Yun has the personal grudge, his overlord is a traitor to the realm). Don't know what that grudge is or how it in any way could justify his actions in episodes 4 and 5. All we saw was that his ego was bruised...so I would like him flayed and tortured everyday for a year before they cut off pieces of him to feed to the pigs.
Cao Yan needs to die by a thousand cuts in public. I don't know his family yet so I don't want to throw them straight into the fire, BUT if they are anything like him or agree with his life choices they should all go with him. Hopefully before he dies so he can see his entire line ended because of his own hubris. I want him to be ash in the dirt to be shit on by horses. Maybe they could cut off one limb at a time and keep him alive so he can watch as his bones are ground into sand, scattered to the four winds. Tie a string around one ball at a time till it falls off. Then tie another string around the appendage he will no longer need till it falls off as well. May his soul never find peace and may be never be reincarnated. If his, hopefully, eventual death is off screen....I swear....writers do not fail me. I want to see this man BURN.
people who've watched the first few episodes. Is the show description accurate? I know its based on a novel, but im unsure if they will adapt the dead & come back to life into "i had a dream" or if they will just drop it all together.
Are we thinking 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2026 for a release? I think they starting filming this one in May of 2025, but couldnt figure out when they wrapped.
watching the trailer without subtitles very much gave vertical drama plot with a reallllly nice budget. im looking forward to this show & couldnt care less if the plot has been done before. the actors are great, costume design looks amazing etc.

I don't think it was a mass attempted thing. I think it was less than a handful. And Chinese media is a bit too good at the clean up of articles. So it could very well just be a rumor but i'm going off of what Chinese social media commentors have referenced in the past.
This started fun, Ml kinda dumb tho? Would u know why there is a ban on timetrav dramas?
There were issues with people without fully developed prefrontal cortexes thinking they could get a re-do if they jumped off of a building or killed themselves/hurt themselves. This is a very not good outcome. So they developed more rules around any timeslip/re-do stories where it was just a dream or the previous life was a premonition/dream. Honestly the most traumatic one I ever watched was Scent of Time. Great performances....horrible landing.
oh this one's going to be a banger. the cast...the chemistry. the trailer was great so im looking forward to seeing how the shots appear in the final edit.
The issue I had was the subtitles going bonkers when it couldn't cope with dialogue and songs overlapping in eps…
Same. I could understand what he was saying only because it had pretty much been said before. i was like...did they not sub the express? Then I realized it was just that one section for me. Youku is always a hit or miss for me with their streaming. Still don't understand how they have such a low quality version of 'Back from the Brink' while viki has the full HD widescreen version. It's like the difference between watching on a tv set from the 90s on VHS verses watching something in 4k. But to support the shows I like I pay for Youku because I currently have the funds to do so. If I didn't like the productions as much as I do and watch to support them I would just unsubscribe.
The drama has come to an end and the best drama i’ve ever watched.Actually i never enjoyed fantasy drama before🥹🥹.…
If you liked this genre. Highly recommend you watch 'Love of the Divine Tree'. It was the first one I truly liked in this genre and it was really well produced. It has similar themes and character dynamics to this one.
Yes, something is up on Youku's side I think because I checked on other sites and it's ok there
Okay....well there goes my 2.99...Oh well, I can rewatch those scenes again later. I was like "what a horrible song choice for this scene..." only to realize it was because I was hearing two songs at once.
Anyone else have major sound mixing issues in the final episode? Why are two OST tracks playing at once? Why is the backing track over powering the dialogue track? What is going on? I hope this gets fixed soon.
Imma say this, I may hate Chao Yuan/Situ to the core of my being, but Yu Cheng En will have seat at my table any day of the week. His acting just keeps getting better. He's grown up a lot since Love Like the Galaxy. So just know I never mean Yu Cheng En when im cursing out Chao Yuan/Situ Ling.
