Bromance

The first time ever I write a review about a series.
So the plot is kinda common, about a cop who hate drugs and try to clean the city from drugs dealer. Then he met a doctor in an incident and both become friends to deal with the master of the drugs dealer. The thing that attract me the most is the bromance between the two main leads. You can say its almost like BL, just got censored. Even so, I still like their bromance as they trust each other so much even when they just met.
So far the story is good enough, lot of things that makes you want to watch more and more. The only problem for now is the subs. From what I read, I think the subs just copy paste from google translate. Even the name sometimes translated. I think this series will have lot of international fans if they could advertise it well and also put proper english subs ASAP.
Two thumbs up. This is one of the drama that i really love and will rewatch it later.

Good friendship drama

If you're looking for best friend drama between two male leads, this might not be the best place. But if you're looking for friendship drama in general, this series offer you a great one. Of course in the end the two male leads will become best friend, but it happen around the third quarter of the series, while the first and second quarter gave a different friends with different plot. Probably because the timeline in this drama is kinda quick. I usually looking for drama with two best friend as the main leads, but this drama is pretty good too, almost the same like Cross Fire.

The plot overall is interesting, it shows a lot of simple things in life like value of friendship, the desire to not giving up, effort, and other things. I couldn't find what I hate from this drama, but of course every people have different opinion. The story progression also interesting and not boring at all. Definitely a good drama to watch

Good drama for those who love the bonds between friends and family

At first when I read the synopsis I thought this will be another supernatural, superhuman drama. Boy, I was disappointed for sure in that part. The supernatural part and superhuman only fill like 1% of the story. The main story is how the lead who died 12 years ago came back to life, and his purpose was to clear his name. Since he was accused as a murderer, his family torn apart, and so he came back to pursue his innocence and also to fix his family. Along the way, everything that was broken since he died slowly mended by him.

I rarely like drama without action, horror, or supernatural in it, but this one is really good I think. How Hae Song slowly fix the broken relationship between his siblings, how he helped his friends. And finally it was second chance for all of them to say goodbye to each other as Hae Song didn't have the chance 12 years ago. It was really touching.

Pretty interesting, but 56 eps...

Pros
The story is interesting, the plot twist also good. But 56 eps really long. Somehow I feel that the story is too forced to make it longer. But they still could make it a little bit interesting so I still can watch it. I like the bromance, but they didn't show it too much.

Cons
Another cliffhanger ending, of maybe sad ending, I don't know how they make it like that. The ending is kinda unclear, people could assume it's a tragic ending, but also a bit vague. If they don't have any plan for season 2, at least make it a happy ending as the story already depressed from the middle part when the main male know the risk of his power

I Love It!

First of all, my review is based on the series only because I didn't read the novel or the manga/anime. At first I was hesitant to watch this series even though my friend recommended it. I watched another series on my list first before I finally ran out of series and turn to this one. I have to say, I regret to not listening to my friend. But of course people have different preference, so this series might not be suitable for other people.

This series is about a pro gamer, a legendary one that is. People refer him as the god, or textbook of the game. That show how good he was. But eventually problem come from his professional team and he got kicked out. The news said he was retiring, but actually he just waiting for his revival. This series followed how he was fall down from the top and start from the bottom again, but not once he falter. Not once he show weakness or thinking about giving up, he give all he got in every game he played. Then he made his own team, filled with problematic people. But then he managed to gather the team members together. solving their problem one by one, train them and make the professional gamer.

The story probably common, but how they presented it was awesome. Ye Xiu as the captain and the legendary player could taught his team members well even when all of them are newbie or rookie. For people who like drama about friendship, motivation, I think this drama is really good. Also the game is a non-existing game, I think it won't even exist until much later in future. But the concept is really good that make you immersed into the game too, two thumbs up for the idea.

Cast is good too, especially Yang Yang as Ye Xiu. I usually don't notice actors whoever they are, but I say Yang Yang is really good in this series. No romance too, another good point from me because I don't like drama that only focused on romance. Music is good too.

Overall I think this series is really good, I gave it 9 out of ten.

One of the best series I've watched

For many reasons, this series stuck in my heart. The main plot is about a manager from famous entertainment company, but something happened and he make his own small company. He had a rough start and the first idol group he make is a band, filled with 4 boys who have their own problem (Which normally would end their image before they even start). But they didn't give up and along the way they mature and solve their problems, helping each other in the process. I love the emotion they bring into the series and also delivered the fact that public figures have their own skeleton in the closet, but they also want to let us know that public figure still human, sometimes they didn't want their problem to happen but it just happened and out of their control. This series really simple but meaningful.

Another great aspect is he song. Because this series is about a new rising band, so of course the song would be their main point, and I have to say it was really good. Might be better if I can understand the lyric, but from watching the show I could feel the emotion from the song.

I have to say, it really is a great series.

For bromance fans

For anyone who looks series with bromance, you might like this. The story is about Gao Yang who lived with his father, and suddenly his father brought Xiaowen to live together with them. At first Gao Yang didn't agree but eventually he treat Xiaowen as his brother. As for Xiaowen, his past made him to hard to connect with people, but eventually he warmed up to Gao Yang and Gao Yang taught him some stuff that he reject at first. So the story revolving around them and their friends, how they manage to get by in school and how they fight for their future.

For the story, since it revolve around Gao Yang and Xiaowen, people who like bromance might like this. I think it has one of the best bromance. The acting also pretty good.

As for the music, there's only 4 ost in youtube, and I like some of them. Some a bit mellow to show how teens not all jolly and play.

Rewatch value? Well, half and half I guess. I like the story so far and want to rewatch it. But its mangotv and their translation is the worst, even google translate might be better. Watching a good story with horrible subs kinda ruin it. Unless you fluent in mandarin of course. And i don't know if other platform (netflix wetv viu iqiyi) would take series from mangotv.

Full of comedy

Both this and Vincenzo have the same screenwriter, so I gave it a try after watching Vincenzo. To be honest, I like Fiery priest better. Not saying Vincenzo is bad, just that people have different opinion. I prefer this one probably because of the humor. From the story, its really similar so both are good in term of story. Its about the corruption of high ranking official. We know how most of those stories goes. But the main lead is a priest, which would be weird since I thought priest wouldn't have anything to do with politic and such. But this one is hilarious, how the priest try to bring justice to a corrupt town. I also love the supporting characters, they show us that some people can change if they have the chance. It is a recommended series if you're looking for heavy drama mixed with lot of humor but not too dark

Good Drama in Every Aspect

I usually don't like to watch normal drama, but this one is really good. The story is about 3 siblings with no blood relation, but grew up together since they were little. After high school, problem arise when their real parents/mother came back into their life after years. Eventually, they part away but reunited after 9 years. They already an adult and finally have to overcome their past in order to be better. The story is quite simple but deep. The brothers have most difficult problems than the sister, but the sister is hurt too because of what happened to her brother. Most of the story revolve around how they managed their life while dealing with their family problem, and the supporting character also have the same problem.

I would give it 10 point if not for one thing I don't like. Eventually one of the brother and the sister become a couple. They are not blood related, but still I think its weird since they grew up together for years. but overall, great storyline. My fave sibling is Zuqiu, as he the most problematic one in my mind but also the honest and brave one. Really recommended series

Not that bad, but not that good either

The story plot is kinda unique, in a weird way. So a girl living with three handsome rich cousins, who was managed by their grandfather's secretary (The 4th knight). Its not so bad, but the plot kinda weak for me. Also the relationship kinda weird and no chemistry I think. So the three cousins like the same girl but even when there are three male leads who like the same girl, obviously one of them will be the weak link, which made it pitiful. Its like the girl didn't notice the third presence. The only thing that make me still want to watch it probably because of the humor, and also the fact that the girl ended up with the 1st lead. Most people said they have 2nd lead syndrome, but I personally thought that the 2nd lead is annoying

Unexpectedly Good

Before I watch this drama, I read the synopsis and didn't expect too much from it. but just like my headline, it was unexpectedly good. Just like the plot say, two boys meet in game but different timeline. But don't expect they play together and such, they just meet and talk. Even though the main point of the plot is e-sport, what they want to show was the life itself. It shows people achieving their dream. In the process, a lot of pain, hard work, betrayal, and what life usually give you. But the drama also show that even though shit happened, it was up to us how to handle it. Will we go or give up, will we have faith or lost it, will we go the right path or astray. Of course the time travel thing will be considered weird, but it want to show us sometimes miracle and opportunities could come, and how we will take it.

Pros : Good storyline, plot, and lot of small wisdom we could take into our daily life.

Cons : Nothing except for my selfish reason. I was looking for a good bromance drama, and this one didn't really show it. Mostly it focused on the two main lead, but since they live in different time, their friendship is kinda weak (as in not showing too much, just some part here and there). Also the same with their respective best friend. But if you exclude my selfish reason, this drama is really good.

Somehow unique

Pros
The plot story is unique, but can be confusing sometimes. From the story, acting, music, etc, this drama is pretty good at the beginning, but can be boring in the middle especially if there are nothing that could grab your attention. For me, I keep watching it because I like bromance and this show have a pretty good bromance.

Cons
The only downside for me is the ending. If you don't like cliffhanger ending, then get ready for it. I'm hoping they have plan for season 2 because the ending is too vague.
