Title Second Chance Romance Spoiler
How convenient! Early onset dementia. (They couldn't even get that right - unless the character is supposed to be under 65 - hence the name.) How can she be held accountable for her past actions now? I was fast-forwarding this up until the point where the FL told the ML what his mother had done. And then all we got to see (well, hear) was a passive, disinterested, "So that's how if was." (or words to that effect). They should have filmed this in black and white to match the monotone. I was not looking for makjang, but did expect the leads to be animated. Dropped.

I do hope that you have seen episode 10 and now know how wrong you were. Perhaps you are young and are not used…
You're right. It's the same in Chinese historical dramas. But more communication means less drama - if you'll forgive the pun.

Was that a joke? "Even the way he walks is lame." ☺️
I am not sure that you got it - or maybe you did. I have not seen anything wrong with the way he walks - and I am certain that he does not...cough...have a limp! (But I'll rewatch a couple of episodes to make sure.) 😊

Some gargoyle calling two gorgeous actors unattractive. this comment section is a clown show
1. When did I state that I like or dislike the actors? 2. When did I give any personal views on the physical appearance of said actors? You cannot even argue effectively. If my argument were based on whether I like the actors or not that would make me both unintelligent and shallow. You specifically stated that the dialogue should not even mention that they (the characters) consummate their marriage because of how bad looking they, the real actors were. Basically, you have said that you only want to be TOLD about people having sex if their looks are satisfactory to you. Your complaint about the very little that was actually shown was not because you thought it prurient, but because of their looks!) Is this not the mindset of those who negatively classify or even bully other people who are different or seen to be not up to their own standards?

No, I meant about the King ordering the crown princess to die! In Ep. 10 we see that this is not actually true. In one scene (in the present, if I remember correctly,) we see the king and the former court lady meeting and talking about the problem, and in another scene we learn that the Crown Princess (in the past) was warned in advance by the king so that she could make her escape. At least, that's how I read it.

Episode 9 beginning part was hilarious, it made me laugh out loud with Dal I and the Prince's shenanigans, *EEEEKK*…
If your 'Now the King wants...' comment is referring to the FL, be aware that that is a flashback scene referring to the past, though it is shown as an upcoming scene (which it was in a sense). I had to rewind it to figure out what (or when) that scene was all about. Does this mean that you had not watch ep. 10 when you wrote this?

Earlier, I called you churlish - thinking that you were behaving like a fourteen year old. But now, I think that you are a nasty person with psychological issues. How good-looking are you? The fact that you think that two actors are so bad-looking that someone should not even refer to the consummation of the characters whom they play, let alone stage the scene, shows me that your mind is seriously warped. You have questioned the intelligence of more than one person on this page yet you do not have the perspicacity to see that your own is lacking. Yes, beauty IS in the eye of the beholder - but that does not give you the right to denigrate or ridicule those whom you find unattractive.

I didn't understand EP. 10. I have watched half so far. Why is the king not going against LSM? What is the coup…
You stopped too soon. The reason is given in the second half of the drama. The coup was mentioned, I think, in episode one - or soon thereafter - and has been mentioned a few times since.

@ffanta: Did you have to be rude to this person? There could be a number of reasons for not knowing this. Regardless, your churlish behaviour shows YOU to be more deserving of a put down.

I agree. Like, why didn't he tell his father that they used the blood of a real priestess to trick the Sanctuary.…
Why? Because a lot of screen writers, especially in low production dramas, are not particularly intelligent - they do not see that they are causing their characters to be too illogical. Most humans, unless they are highly analytical or schooled in logic, display bad logic at times but not as much as some of the drama characters that we see. Also, the script writer / director unconsciously fosters this for effect to provide more angst, and the like, to make the drama last longer before the good guys can win. So, basically, the director thinks that we are stupid.

"Truely Have To Say If You Don't Understand Chinese, Why Are You Even Watching Chinese Drama's."

REALLY?! I have to say, (that) if you don't understand (proper) English, why are you even writing it so badly in a review to tell us that we shouldn't be watching said Chinese dramas if we don't understand the language. Is that not hypocritical as well as arrogant? And don't you mean 'English' translation? Americans do not speak American; they speak English! And what about (to use your reasoning) the 'Canadian' translations? What language do you think the Canadians speak?

I have read some good, some very good, and some not so good manual translations which proves your claim to be wrong. I wonder also, if you have considered that, in effect, you are saying that Chinese dramas should not be translated for people who do not understand the language. Taking this a step further, it could be implied that, in your view, nobody in the world should be able to watch any drama which is not in their own language!

Toss a coin. Bad acting or bad directing at end of 6 beginning of 7?

Yes but the son could speak to the father and the father could listen to the son unless the father would not tolerate this (We haven't seen much of their relationship.) Not having full power does not stop him from speaking.

My second rant of the day - both on MDL! What with the dragon prince in Dragon King's Decree and now this...!!!
So, at the end of ep. 6 / beginning of ep. 7 the FL asks, "Is there something (that) you haven't told me?" ML didn't even ask her what she was talking about. FL, instead of asking something like, "Why did you / your mother steal my child", or, less dramatically, is *** my son?" she waffles on about something insignificant. Now, I grant you, this IS a mature drama with mature, intelligent, well-adjusted leads but what the 'ef' was that? - She just 'screamed' passivity' in this scene! I appreciate that she might have started to formulate some sort of plan, but could not we, the audience, be treated to a tasty tidbit? A mouth-watering morsel? A glimpse of an emotion which would belie this seeming state of inertia on her part.
